  • I've used FilmConvert Nitrate on nearly every video project since I started testing it about six months. I have to say, it's pretty incredible. Especially in combination with an iPhone and Filmic Pro.

Love this video! Thanks for the recommendation. I’m really looking to give my iPhone footage a vintage almost 16mm vibe, what would you recommend for that. I hear there are emulation softwares that work with editing programs, but I’m not sure the learning on them.
    Again, love your content!

FilmConvert is pretty easy to learn so I might start there. It's a plugin that works with pretty much whatever editing software you use. They have settings for 16mm film emulation too. Hope this helps!

Hello, Zack! Thanks for the video and for the information. Would you recommend also purchasing the nitrate version? Or just the Filmconvert if I am using an iPhone 11 Pro Max and Filmic Pro. Thank you! (Basically my question is if I would have a lot of advantages or new features with nitrate with the iPhone model I own).

Nitrate adds a couple neat features such as the ability to control the amount of grain in different tonal areas of your image, but it doesn't add too much more than that. The upgrade is only $29 though which isn't too much. However, if you're happy with the results you've been getting from the old version of the app you could just stick with that too!

Any alternative to filmic pro log? I don’t like subscriptions

I've been using Dehancer a lot recently. It's a bit pricy, but there's no subscription for it.
