Speed MP has become my racquet of choice. Agree it’s too light, but disagree re: lead tape- it’s quite head heavy (4pts HL stock). I changed grip for leather which basically brought the specs in line with the speed pro (weight and SW around 330) but with 16x19 = more spin. Plays like a dream now.

Like I said in the video, this racquet would be good with modification, playing with it stock would definitely have to be an acquired taste. The Speed MP I had was definitely super quick through the air and it may just boil down to quality control. This racquet will find its home in the hands of people and it's all preference 😁. No racquet is a truly horrible racquet, just different tastes and play styles that make or break racquets for other people

@@racquetguru4183 I agree with your point, just pointing out that it needs weight in the handle, not the head

I demo'ed this twice a while back. Very launchy, light, insufficient plow, a terrible combo for me. Very spinny though. The feel and vibrations were strange, like the strings were slapping against the frame. Imagine slapping a plastic ruler against a hard surface.
Demo'ed it side by side with the Rad Pro 23, which I disliked as well. The sensation was like a piece of wood splitting and splintering at contact and that crunch going through the wrist and forearm.
    Coming from aerogel 200.

That's actually very similar to my experience with both the Speed MP and the Radical Pro. I think the Auxetic tech has something to do with the weird feeling on the Radical Pro. The vibrations weren't too bad on the Speed MP for me, but definitely much lighter than what I'm used to, the feel felt almost hollow and undefined, and had little-to-no plow-through.

I'm not a fan of this racquet either. Too lightweight and the string pattern is very open, so you end up hitting alot of loopy shots instead of balls that penetrate the court.

The more I looked at the specs, the more I thought there were typos in the spec list. Average swingweight was 323, but felt like it was under 310. You can flatten out balls, but it's wildly unpredictable due to the super open 16x19 pattern.

Head QC can vary massively. I used to use the Prestige Pros back in the day and when I RDC'd them at the shop to pick out a spec I wanted, the racquets could range from 326SW to 338SW - that's a massive variation for what is supposed to identical racquets!@@racquetguru4183

Hilarious. I tried amd agree it is too light. My experience with Head Boom MP and Pro sounds like your Speed MP review. The Boom MP was a joke (toy like) and the Boom Pro was so low powered (even with lead at various locations) didn't help.

Oddly enough, I enjoyed the feel of the Boom Pro and enjoyed the weight stock. The swingweight was definitely lighter than you'd expect from a pro frame, but still heft enough that if you're swinging fast enough, you don't notice too much push-back from the racquet (that was my experience, quality control may also be a factor in some racquets). The Head Speed MP is good for some players, but not for me.

Head Speed MP has never made any sense to me. If you want 100sq" / 300g, you'd be better off going for a Pure Drive clone as you need something stiffer and thicker beamed to generate some power. Easy to use but I hated in during matches as it feels too anaemic. The strings are also too widely spaced to offer much control.

The YouTek Speed MP was actually really good in my opinion. The Graphene 360+ one was also decent. Sadly, this one definitely feels anaemic. This is one of the only times I would recommend the pro to rec players. Despite the pro being heavier, it feels like it makes up for the shortcomings of the MP, even with an 18×20 pattern
