@@HeartlandRebuilds Do you happen to have a link to any instructions for FX4? I used forscan to enable the TSR but I'm not seeing any signs pop up currently on my cluster. I do use waze on apple carplay though so that at least tells me the speed limi
@@reignsupreme9781 I used these instructions - www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/traffic-sign-recognition-tsr-forscan-mod-confirmed-working.9399/ - I'm not sure which method to use for the FX4 cluster. I changed the settings manually. I think they updated Forscan to have it be a quick change button now, but you still need to turn it on in the cluster menu.
That's a good idea. Forscan is a windows program that uses an OBD2 cable/adapter to change some programming for the modules. It's free to use and to make changes you need an "extended" license that is also free, but it's only valid for 60 days at a time.
I cant understand why Ford is blocking these functions. I have enabled the eco/sport option and windows control by the remote control. So, everything is in there. Ford must enable all of these option for an extra. Does not make any sense block them have you tried to talk to Ford in the US? Thanks for sharing. Greetings from Brazil
Great video...I have an FX4 on order so like you said that would give me the different screen like the Lariat. Yes it should be a dealer option to add on like the door keypad now. I cant wait to apply this hack when I get mine. Thanks for this. 😎😎😎
I can't believe they are making the door keypad a battery powered stick on now. A little jealous of the Lariat cluster, I may have to replace mine with one.
So what's the black box on the front of the lariat, I've got a 2024 hybrid and love it so far had it one week I end up getting the XLT luxury package with the 360 copilot but I feel I can do more 😅
Just enabled traffic sign recognition today. Thanks for the help. I guess a new turn stalk is needed for lane departure warnings since it didn't work for me just using forscan. BTW, I appear to have a nearly identical Maverick (atlas blue XLT, spray in bed liner) and travel that stretch of Dodge every day.
When your traffic sign background changes to black, does it stay on forever or disappear after about 1 or 2 minutes? I have the 24 Lariat, which now has Lux built in and my sign will not turn to black after a minute or so. Instead, the sign will just disappear after 1 or 2 minutes. When I pass the next sign, it then shows again for a minute or so and disappears again. Thanks
It only voids any warranty if Ford can prove the part or thing modified was the cause of the failure. Generally speaking, they frown upon modifying of any programming. It is a Ford part and they probably wouldn't even care unless you pointed it out to them at a dealership. So, anything related to the turn signal stalk may be in question.
What settings did you change? You skipped over the entire part where you set them. I'm following the MTC tutorial and under IPC change it only has two blocks, my hybrid with 4" cluster has 3 blocks.
I skipped over the part where I changed them because there are a lot of different changes you need to make depending on what options you have. You need to follow the tutorials on MTC linked in the video depending on if you want lane keep assist, or speed limit recognition, or both.
@@HeartlandRebuilds OK I actually got it working, I referenced the wrong block. But now, I don't have the trip report at the end when turning off the vehicle (showing miles traveled, mpg etc). Is this working on yours still? It works OK but I would like to see about doing the ACC and lane centering mod in the future.
@@HeartlandRebuilds Back up and working completely. The tutorial on MTC is for ecoboost. I don’t get it. Basically you find the section of what the guide tells you and replace whatever value is already programmed exactly as written? Does that sound right
That's exactly it. Just follow the guide and replace the values with what's listed. Always make a backup before making changes so if you put a wrong value in you can change it back.
That's how I got FACTORY cruise control on my '22 XL, with TSR and for the rest of the upgrades. Also have FACTORY electronic locking tailgate. Using '22 Ranger actuator and wiring harness. Simple .5 hour job!!
Yes it will. Every Maverick, XL to Lariat has the same front camera in the windshield. You just need to activate the speed limit recognition with Forscan. If you want to also add lane keep assist, you will need to replace the turn signal stalk with one that has the button on it, then add that change in Forscan as well.
This is impressive. Does your version of lane keep pull the wheel back like the Lariat trim or just give warnings? The Lariat basically drives itself around curves.
Do I need the Forscan extended license for this? I bought the OBD adapter linked in your description but I’m getting a log message saying the adapter won’t allow for full Forscan functionality. Thanks for any help.
I couldn't find anything on Amazon, but you can find them if you search LB5T13335DAW or LC5Z-13341-DA on eBay. They are the same turn signal switch on the Ford Explorer.
@@HeartlandRebuilds That's excellent to hear, I'll order the turn signal stalk then and finish it. I already did the Forscan part of it. I really appreciate your response and the information. Yes, however it is nowhere near as easy. You need to have active cruise control added if you don't already have it. If you search on mavericktruckclub dot com you will find most of the answers.
The Maverick Forscan area online is still being built up. Any Maverick can activate the traffic sign recognition. Most vehicles however will only have things activated that are installed, hence needing to add the turn signal switch to activate lane keep assist.
Any modification will only void the warranty if the modification directly caused the problem. If you tell Ford you've modified the computer and later have problems with the computer, then they can say it isn't covered under warranty. This is using factory Ford parts and changing the settings to allow the use of existing hardware. You'll likely never have a problem.
