I want to thank you so much. I followed your video to the letter and every step was exactly as you said. Even the little dribble after running it to temp and rechecking. AWESOME! I have a 2018 Edge with 46,000 miles. Thought it would be good preventative maintenance to start with periodic fluid changes. I had to do my rear brakes and oil change so I just added this in -- car was already up. LOL I used my laptop with FORSCAN to monitor temp -- worked great.

Will it change the gas mileage changing the wheels?

Radio software in these trucks are absolute junk! I've had my fleet vehicle for 2 and 1/2 years and after the seven recalls that have been completed it seems like it gets worse and worse every time. Apparently I reached my factory reset limit on the radio due to Bluetooth losing connection multiple times. This is the only option that worked, thank you!

Did you notice your cruise control kicking off along with the button problems?

Can I tap on the threaded rod with a small hammer or is there a secret to getting the rods to release? Mine is not disconnecting with hand force.

I wanted to thank you for your video. My eBay illumination kit had no instructions or fish tape. The video helped me on my installation up to a point. I have a 2019 Volt and the wiring is slightly different. Where your instructions said move pin 9 to pin 11, the 2019 Volt has a pin 11 installed and not one in pin 9. I removed the peg from pin 11, inserted the wire and everything worked. The whole installation took about 3 hours as I did have problems fishing the wire up to the engine bay. I should have enlarged the drain hole a little to get the fish tape and wire bundle through. I also broke the pin 11 peg while removing it. A 1/16” punch and small brass hammer did the trick. A pin extractor would have been very helpful. Again thanks for your video. It helped a lot.

Does the clockspring also control the turn signals? The buttons on our 2017 f-150 suddenly stopped and so did our turn signals and automatic lights. Are they all controlled by the clock spring ?

The amount of stupid programming in this car the display keeps turning off while you're in the middle of a programming session! The amount of wasted time waiting where is the cycle to the next step! God damn Dash keeps going into low illumination mode because it's in the dark right now

The Big Three are such shity companies, and I think we all revived them from bankruptcy. Every part you want to buy is insanely overpriced, and body panels unfortunately because they didn't sell enough of these overpriced Rube Goldberg machines, you can't find aftermarket parts

Just tried to change mine and the new clock spring they sent me the small gray electrical plug at the bottom isn’t the same. But the numbers match on both clock springs.

Just did this on my 2017 F150. Great video, right to the point. Took about 30-40 minutes - didn't watch the time. Buttons now work reliably and cruise control quit randomly dropping out.

Do you have the part number por the clock spring?

Will be subscribing and liking. I have a 2024 xl ecoboost model and it was doing the exact same thing. Doing this fixed everything

my radio wouldnt shut off even with keys out of ignition, and sometimes it just sounded like lasers haha thanks man this fixed everything

I just worked on a 2014. Old leak from the clear water tank valves. Insulation wet, flooring, rotten, a big mess. Just remove everything and place it back with new material. Catch it on time. Good luck!

I bought the same machine a few months ago . just throw out all 240 volts equipment and bought from amazon 12 volts DC engine for few pounds witch fits exactly , new switch with reverse option ,new bright bulb and makita battery with extra switch. now got completely mobile key cutting machine .With one charge can cut over 40 keys . all modification cost me around 80 pounds ,plus original machine 165 . at the moment very useful and cheap

Thanks it worked for me! I'm having a hard time finding someone to cut the blank for the door lock. Everyone seems to have kiosk key cutting machine which will not do it.

I plan on adding a backup sensor kit to my XLT. Got any wire routing suggestions going from back tail light area (where the sensor module will be powered) to front cab area (to mount speaker / display). Thx

This only changes out about 1/3 of the fluid. You just add 5qt. clean ATF to all the dirty stuff????

It's missing the springs in the clamps mine had the same deffo worth putting them in

I went to a dealership with all paperwork they asked for. Title, proof of ins, and your license. It was Larry Miller dodge Chrysler in Boise on Auto Drive st. The guy tole me that Chrysler was not giving out PIN Codes anymore and they said that one locksmith in Boise ID. said they would charge 90.00 to program the key, he also said if it doesn't work after they program the key that if it doesn't work all money is non refundable. Now I say what kind of a way to run a business? Their in it for the money only ! Anytime Lock&key boise. After I seen this video and a few others that DIY 90.00 bucks is a pure Ripoff Thanks for this video excellent step by step.
