- Roye focuses on explaining the importance of his roots to his life and the importance of staying in touch with one’s roots.
Roye Ganju is a Grade 11 student who prides himself in a deep sense of connection to his roots. He’s been raised in a Kashmiri Pandit family and has immersed himself in the facets of his culture from a young age. In his Ted Talk, he will focus on explaining the importance of his roots to his life and the importance of staying in touch with one’s roots. Apart from his cultural connection, Roye frequently ponders the latest questions in the world of politics and in his free time enjoys reading widely, collecting great vinyl records and eating a plethora of cuisines. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx
A wonderful talk by Roye Ganju on a subject which people feel scared to discuss. God bless you. Mrs Ambardar it is a proud moment for the whole family and all of us
An interesting frank talk by a young KP who has not forgotten his roots. Our blessings to Roye for godspeed in all his endeavors.
🍁heartwarming to see a young boy who didn’t see the exodus, speak with conviction and strong emotions, touching some historic atrocities the community faced….. showing resilience from kah gar to the 90’s and so on…..parents must discuss with their children what kp community has been through in kashmir over centuries…..word of mouth is more impressionable than what is/will be written about the latest(90’s) exodus…..
Roye Ganju’s talk is much appreciated 👍🏻💐
Absolutely fantastic Roye !! Congratulations!! We do need youngsters like you to keep our cultural flag flying !! 1990 till 2015 or so it has been a matter of survival but now it is time for consolidation and taking stock for future!!
Wow. Loved it Roye. The message is crisp, pure and simple at the same time. Must watch for all Kashmiri kids and even adults. God bless you!

A matured talk and great delivery of words and ideas about kashmir. It is all the more pertinent to note that the speaker is a young boy of 12th class only. His knowledge and understanding of kashmir, it's culture and the problems involved is miraculous. God bless him.

Well narrated - - - needs to be told again and again.
Is he in in Kashmir, has he seen the migration time or gone directly has gone to US. It is very easy to present the ppt in US, but our own brothers has forgotten the problems which we face here in Jammu or somewhere in the India. It is easy to present. But all the kashmiri Pandits which are from a poor background or which didn't go outside are still struggling. And most important how can we survive or get back the valley sitting at US .
This too is important, y discourage the boy
We Hindus of India should be ashamed of not helping our Precious Brothers and Sisters of Kashmir 👺👺👺 .👺 of course the deaf and useless security forces and administration did nothing for the Hindus....
