I ADDED THE HEADREST SAFE TO MY BUILD. NO ONE KNOWS MY STUFF IS ALL LOCKED UP IN A HEADREST. PUT YOUR KEY FOB IN THERE AND GO SWIMMING OR HIKING THEN TAKE IT OUT AND CRANK IT UP.. GREAT PRODUCT AND IT LOCKS INTO YOUR SEAT.
@@DareToVentureOverland I have a TJ on 37” and a JT on 40” Those are some hard trials for a Tacoma! Awesome man! I am trying to get down there around the same time
Great rig and welcome to the club. With those as your reasons for the switch, you’ll be happy with the JT. Thing is so capable. Unless you are doing some insane crawling with it 38s will take you any where you wanna go. Mine on 35s on a 3 in AEV high capacity coil lift (my baby is heavy) goes so many places. May want to consider upgrading the steering knuckles and, since you are lifted, going with the high mount kind that raise your drag link and tie rod. The OEM ones on the Rubicon are aluminum and with 38s this would be well worth the money. Have fun with the build and on the trails. 🤙
Thank you, yeah that’s funny my brother in law was just mentioning those. If budget allows I’ll try to get them done before our Moab trip. He’s had his jeep for years and I just switched over from the Tacoma side, so all tips welcome!
Hey man glad to have you on the JT side! It is an awesome platform for off-road and overland. I have some Evo bomber rockers rock sliders for sale if you’re interested. No dents or scratches on them, I have a brand new grade 8 hardware from Evo as well for install.
Good review but I definitely wouldn’t go to 40-inch tires without a 1-ton swap of the axles and that’s NOT inexpensive. Even the 38-inch tires are pushing the axles to potential breaking point with more than Mall crawling.

You switched over to a Jeep because you are a very smart young man-!

Thanks for checkin the vid out! Where are you located?
@@DareToVentureOverland Tacoma WA area. I can drive down and meet you in Oregon.
Great vid.
Your rear shocks are on the wrong side though. The adjustment knob should face towards back of the truck. Just switch them 👍🏻
Oh word 😂 I need to check those, they came from the dealer that way
Yea just flip them. Put driver side on passenger side. Also if you want a even softer rider you can rotate the shaft on the shock to a softer setting
For sure, thanks for the heads up.

The Tacoma will never be a gladiator. I’m taking mine to the grave and I’m fortunate enough to have the eco-diesel.
