- In 2019, IFAW and Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) signed an historic partnership to advance wildlife conservation and protection across landscapes in Zimbabwe, including Hwange National Park. This partnership became vital in supporting water management at the park and it's unique challenges, especially following the global COVID-19 pandemic. And so in 2020, IFAW began funding the dredging of the Nyamandhlovu Pan, thus increasing its water capacity and providing crucial water for wildlife during the dry seasons.
