I wish I can visit Hwange of the good days
I miss Hwange - and especially Nyamandhlovu Pan - I have spent hours on that same platform - and the animals used to be prolific. Each time I returned there seemed to be less and less game on the area - it is such a beautiful area - I hope it returns to it’s best again one day

Main Camp! Oh how I miss thee! Which pan were you sitting at?
You got a fabulous view of elephants there. There is not as much game as there used to be sadly, but you saw more elephants than I have ever seen there. I first went in 1993. There used to be loads of giraffe. I went back to this same platform in the wet season of 2018 and it was poor. You were there when it was so much drier so it's better for viewing.
tigershoot Yes, we had an amazing time but there is still the sad truth that you realize while there, that there is not as much game anymore as there once was. Mostly due to poaching and habitat loss. 😔 Thanks for sharing your story and experiences as well! 🙏
