It’s not hard to see that Cael learned that you don’t need to wrestle 40 matches like he did to be good….the competition in the room is much better than any match they will ever be in.
I’m hoping/thinking Kasak will go against Ohio State and Iowa.
I can’t wait to see Mesenbrink against Iowa….im not certain there is another team in the country that can win 3 or more matches against Penn State.
Did that one reporter call a match a GAME? 🤦♂️🤦♂️
3rd
Looking forward to this dual meet...Lots of good matchups.
Me too
Cael loves these media scrums
You're not getting much out of Cael
Ya think?
What do you mean? He just told those reporters literally the entire Penn State playbook.
He’s always pretty simple in his comments.
I just wish someone would give me a legitimate answer as to why these kids wrestle a ridiculously low amount of matches.
Because of the Olympic qualifier matches, most of the Penn State wrestlers were in it so they couldn't have team matches early in the season.
Maybe Cael learned from when he was wrestling 40 a year, to never do that again….plus, the competition in the room is better than any dual they are ever in.

What good is 10 - 15 more wins against inferior competition? Plus, you increase the possibility of injury. The conference and national tournaments is what matters. Having healthy, fresh athletes is what matters most.
Is Cael's biggest failure as a head coach the inability to get Bartlett to pull the trigger?
I don't think Cael has much to do with that. From watching Beau, I think he's looking for big moves. Feet to back. The kid is undefeated, so I wouldn't be too upset.
huh? what do you mean pull the trigger?
Cael has no failures as a head coach....he's the best of all time, pretty much hands down.
