As a penn state fan that was a takedown at the end of the 125 match
You have reaction time it could have been called either way if he didn't roll then yea but he definitely made it close

At 125 that’s a takedown. I can’t see any way around it. The collection of the legs with a turn to the back is enough for me to think so
Sad to say. But that was takedown and possible back points at 125. Call was horrible.
And you don't mention. If you turn someone to their back and control them: right when the swipes are (supposed to) start you have earned the take down.
@@tropicalterrarium1742 Yeah that was definitely some form of control. Braeden didn't wrestle well at all in this match, used to seeing him open up a lot more in that 2nd period more. He didn't really look for offense just trying to survive. Could be hurt, but then again so are most wrestlers at this point.

@tropicalterrarium1742 It was a neutral danger count, not nearfall. Therefore, the referee didn't have a takedown yet.
@@robertbowman448 if they gave Bartlett the takedown then they should’ve given Vincent the takedown. Damn near the exact situation where both rolled to escape neutral danger.

I get that Penn state is great, but they seem to get every call in their favor. They lost 125. That kid went for it and got the takedown. What a shame.

Yeah Penn State got away 125 and 141. There’s no question Kilkeary took down Davis. It was just a bad call and if i were Davis I would quickly wake up and realize that no one is safe at 125.
141 is less egregious but the refs definitely awarded a takedown too soon to Bartlett in OT. I still think he would have got it if the sequence were to continue but, thats neither here nor their at this point
Well you're right. He called it too early, but if the whistle hadn't blown, there would have been a takedown. So..... either way

The idea that the ref gave Braeden Davis at 125 such extended reaction time, effectively denying Kilkeary a legit takedown, but then gave Beau Bartlett at 141 a very quick takedown with absolutely zero reaction time allowed for Mendez, is the height of absurdity. You could see the embarrassment on the faces of the Sanderson brothers.

While I don’t disagree about 125, the calls were different. He gave Bartlett a neutral danger call, while that isn’t what should’ve been called at 125, it was just a takedown.
If 125 wasn't a takedown then neither was 141. Both bad calls.

The reffing here was horrendous
The officiating in the dual was atrocious!
The ref. blew it 125 by missing the points at and missed it at 141 with that fast count.
I didn't think there was a worse ref than Angel. But I was proven wrong tonight. I am a psu fan, but certainly a takedown at the end if 125. But numerous calls both ways that were ridiculous

It was a takedown with about 5 seconds remaining. 6-4 decision for OSU. Easy call. The Refs watch it again on replay and still don't rule a takedown? Can you say, "home town decision? "

No he plays the lewan game. Try and score off of your opponenets attacks and aim for overtime. I wish these refs would start stalling him and Will Lewan out.

Condolences to Vinny K. He got robbed, but he’s gonna have a great career after this red shirt year. All his losses are to top guys and most of them were close. Another great kid from Western PA.
If Rocco Welsh can find his offense he is going to be the man to beat in a year or two.
Carter was flat he hasn't wrestled in two weeks He's been sick you can tell he was tired you never see that but rococo also backed up a lot penn st will be fine at tournament time best to do it
@@coachjody1971 Have you watched any of Rocco’s matches other than this one? He is losing to the top ranked guys by one or two points. Kid is a true freshman and if he can breakthrough with some offense against these top guys, he is going to be scary come tournament time!

i like jesse mendez but i thought beau was going to put on a clinic so hats off to jesse for hanging with him, and i love iowa but not a fan of real woods being up by 1 point and then laying off of the gas peddle, i think beau is going to beat him pretty easy, and he lost to a unranked wrestler so its not looking good

These refs should not ever be allowed to ref again! Their calls were bullshit.
Big10 only showed 4 matches. But 125 and 141 scrambles, I almost scrambled myself outa my chair. I know I took down my imaginary opponent. I wasn't there, up close and personal, but 125 was maybe a little iffy. I noticed throughout 1st period Davis was wrestling really cautiously. And starrocci, I'm sorry, I'm just gonna say it, I was disappointed. I just really Really REALLY would like to see him ride people out. It's not a good game plan to bank on getting a takedown. One good scramble and he might be standing there holding the bag.

More Proof Wrestling has become Corrupt as the NFL and professional sports. Both young men deserved the opposite outcome and everyone in the wrold knows it, yet the audacity is most telling. Great wrestlers.

You are right but that was also on tOSU. The air was sucked out the building after 25. Everyone knew he got robbed. The Bouzakis came out on fire. Bo v Mendez was as solid as a 1 score match can be. Kasak got them loud. Then Levi was solid but not great and Mitch got ridden for almost 2 periods. Carter was clearly sick or something then Truax gets pinned and it's quiet. Brooks and Kerk did there thing. It's crazy they won 8-2 but the crowd couldn't get going.
