Where do those hoses route? I can't find any good pics in the fsm and forums that are still around. Everything for the most part is dead links. I was lucky to find a screen shot of this video in a forum. If you could, get back to me asap, could definitely use a diagram. Using neo iacv on an aftermarket intake plenum and I'm trying to get that back on the car and working.
i've had this problem for the 5 years ive had the car. its probably 1 reason i got it so cheap. the refusal to restart after stalling(1:10) -i'd blamed that on the immobiliser. i was going to put another immobiliser on it but i dont think there is a need now. the stag is the 2nd best car ive ever owned. the 86 skyline is the best.
good vid dude mine did same thing toay. came to a stop at a red light and in drive (auto) IT STALLED. for the last week id have a idle surge/hunt when any electrical load ie braking, aircon or lights on only on idle. any hints or tips much appreciated. rb25det s1 1997 stag
I'd raise your idle a couple of hundred rpm as a short term fix to prevent another stall (or tighten up your throttle cable slightly, it may be stretched.) Definately clean out your IACV and reset your idle when you get the time to see if that balances out anything. Once I did mine I still get a drop when using aircon and starting up cold but no more noticible needle bounce.
Also just something to add - I found my eng control fuse was blown recently. When I replaced it, the idle returned to normal. I'd check that when you've got time too.
Hey mate. I have a neo in a r34gtt. I thought the tps was the sensor at the front where the manifold begins. Are you 100% sure it's the one at the back? Also does loosening that screw on iacv create a vacume/boost leak?
Hey man I cleaned my out and I put it all back the way it was and now it’s idling at 1300rpm is there something I did wrong or ? And the idle screw is all the way in :/
Brilliant thanks

Sadly I don't have the wagon anymore as I sold it earlier this year. Sorry, would put up a vid of the hoses if I could.

Oh and also run a consult port check to see if there's anything else going on giving your stag headaches C:

Nice. Sounds simple enough. Might just do that when I have some spare time.
Thanks for the video. :)
Doesn't hurt to give it a clean out anyway even if you're not currently having idle problems

Wait for that gasket maker to settle? Or no?
If you've got time you probably should. I didn't before testing and it held (and still does) just fine.
