When I was 23 I saved 100k and I'll tell you what. I never knew what I needed to know back then. Because I had to goals. And now that I have grown a bit older and am a bit wiser I understand what I had so I will be doing it again and investing it and buying a home. And I think I might just start posting it on this account

Awesome job I started my first 100 envelope challenge on Dec 1, 2023 just to get out of debt and I am also doing other savings challenges to set aside for what we need. I am almost 61 and I wished this was around when I was in my 20's better late than never. I have learned so much from these videos. I found these videos being advertised on Facebook passed it up until one day I started thinking about it and then I started watching these videos on TH-cam. Best decision I made now my family is supporting my savings.

I’m so glad you found these videos… I share the same experience… I did my first 100 envelope challenge in 2023, but I found it December 2022… I’ve never saved this kind of money before, I literally was content with saving $1000 a year! It’s amazing how my brain can help comprehend that I was able to do this challenge, and it was very likely that I would complete it-BUT I vividly remember my beginnings and my struggles… I am so humbled that I was able to do this!! Seriously I was perfectly content with saving $1000 a year😳 but you know better you do better!!! Absolutely… consistency will get you to the end… of course we all want to finish within a year but if it took you a year and a half wouldn’t $5000 still come in handy🤔 I love this challenge and having a lump sum of money to be able to make bigger decisions!!! Thank you so much for being here!!!

Thank you!!! I did the 100 envelope challenge for the first time in 2022… I stumbled across a video at Christmas in 2021 and I jumped in headfirst… the first time I did it. I did it the traditional way and save $5050. I’ve been budgeting for over 19 years, but I wasn’t great at saving…. This challenge has changed all of that. I would highly recommend for anyone to give it a try!! I’m not gonna lie after about three months it does get super challenging… I think we start off with a lot of adrenaline and motivation but it does take some mental capacity to stay consistent! Of course, I’ve I’ve had to make some sacrifices too… the second go round wasn’t so hard mentally, but it is still challenging to stay consistent of stuffing the envelopes! Thank you so much for being here!!!

It’s definitely a blessing!! if I’m being honest, I did not envision this in my life… I know it’s easy for other people to look at me and say, of course, you could do this, but I didn’t see it for myself!!! Finding these challenges has changed everything for me… it has elevated the way I think even!!! Community is so important and I was missing this in my life! I appreciate you so much, Nita!!! I am extremely grateful that I was able to stay consistent this year !! It’s a blessing to be able to fund so many things that I like to do for next year so I can focus on my next goal of $15K!! I think making the spreadsheet aware the money is going to go is in our blood because we are budgeters… we tell our money where to go because we know it will just go away if we don’t!!! I found Dave Ramsey back in 2003, so I have been budgeting for over 20 years!!! Although I was great at telling my money, where to go, I wasn’t always saving as well as I could have!! I rested on the fact that we have 401(k)s and real estate!! But the closer I get to retirement the more cash on hand, I want to see!! I found the 100 envelope challenge Christmas 2021 and I completed it for the first time in 2022 for $5050!!! I was able to do it in eight months the first time and that made me realize that with more intentionality I could save more!! I’m enjoying the journey and (TH-cam) has been very fun and supportive for me!! I have a $15,000 goal for next year that I’ve already started!!! Thank you so much for being here. I greatly appreciate you!!!

I treat myself how I want others to treat me… I give to myself as I would give to others… I wouldn’t bad and I to spend $50 on someone else but I had every excuse why I shouldn’t do it for myself… so I have to change that muscle memory too!! Yes, the bank filled out a currency transaction report on me because I deposited over $10,000… they asked to see my ID even though I had my bank card, they also asked me where the money came from, which was awesome because I got to share my TH-cam channel with them… the teller says she would subscribe😂😂 I made my own envelopes… they’re not perfect, but I caught sales at Michael’s and Joann fabrics for the stock cart paper at a very low cost… literally at Joann, the sheets of paper, or as low as $.25! I greatly appreciate you being here today and celebrating with me!!!

You absolutely can do it too!!! I think we should remove the timeframe and just be as consistent as we can be… it doesn’t matter when you finish it will come in handy!! I’ve been budgeting for over 20 years so I don’t have much debt… just my mortgage and my husband’s truck!! we are at the point in our financial journey that we have more discretionary income!! my husband and I both get allowance and I use my allowance for these challenges!! no matter what your situation is you can always save even if it’s a small amount eventually it will grow!! I greatly appreciate you being!!!
@BudgetStuffSaveRepeat We have our mortgage and a small loan on the home we built for my parents (attached to our home-they both have dementia). We used to have lots of discretionary income when we both worked, but I have stepped away from being a Realtor to care for momma and daddy full time, so we are down to one income, but it's all good! Thank you for your encouragement!!

Thank you SO much!!! it really is freeing… I think the hard part is figuring out what we really want!! I have been on a journey to learn how to care for myself completely!! I could have saved like this years ago, but I didn’t see it… I still had a poor mentality… now that I can “have what I want.” The material things don’t have much value…. I can see more value in my husband and my children. I’m learning to be content and it’s a peace that I can’t explain. I greatly appreciate you being here.
