    Hey man some pro tips for getting those wheels to seat
    1. Lube is your best friend on those make sure the bead of the tire and even the rim it’s self is lubed up and it’ll slide up the wheel better
    2. I’m sure those tires were nice and cold they are way easier to mount and seat if you can somehow get them a little warmer
    3. Don’t be afraid to send it a little I’ve have more tires then I can even count that I’ve had to put 70+ psi in to get them to seat I don’t like doing much more then that but don’t be scared on a new tire most have a load rating of at least 60 psi so throwing an extra 10 or so pounds into it won’t blow up in your face

    • @joestrasser382
      @joestrasser382 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would of helped too if he had removed the valve core and used the tire machine pressure gauge on it for seating beads. Regular tire pressure gauges don’t give you the “blast” to seat the bead

    Tips for the installation next time on the tires try to take out the valve core (try some needle pliers and make sure it clicks when installing back on) so you can get a full blast if air during the seating process, tire lube is your friend if not some soap and water will do. Also rotating the tire helps as well. Of course inflating a tire up to 90lbs is sketchy but it’ll sometimes required to seat a tire with a really stiff sidewall. The fire was imo unnecessary since you already had a partial part of the tire seated.

  • @Willisfitner
    @Willisfitner 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The brake clean method only works if you get it inside the tire, doesn't do anything from just the sidewall. Also when you spray the wheels in the future, you can spray a trail that you can then light from a safer distance.

    If your going to put any kind of power down with the e30 (referring to your street monster comment mid vide) you have to start at the rear. Stock e30 stuff is not good for any sort of power really. You can go for a 188 or a 210 diff with upgraded axels, ideally you want the big half shafts on the hub side and the diff to with the cv joint’s that goes with it. You can get that out of v8/m e34/32. Doing all of it with the e30 sub frame and trailing arms is a pain (trust me i know) so your best bet is modifying a e34 m/v8 complete rear end to fit up with the e30 subframe mounting points, a lot of people does this. Not super expensive, holds good power and comes with a nice brake upgrade.
    Im exited to follow the build and wish you the best of luck from Norway😊

    The beads were just cold. As far as the fire technique you need ether (starting fluid) and to fill the empty tire with it before lighting.

  • @ludicrousfilms635
    @ludicrousfilms635 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    All you need to do is inflate the tires to 110 psi and the bead will pop super easy. Its much less dangerous than using brake clean when the bead is already sealed. The only time you should use brake clean is if the bead isn't sealing and you can't build pressure in the tire.

    When u think u have used enough ether or brake cleaner to flame mount use way more…you need a seriously big boom followed by the air. Also need the tire totally debeaded.

  • @DiligentMedia
    @DiligentMedia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    When beading a tyre with fire u want to push the sidewall down and only spray a little inside the tyres and on a little part of the bead, light it on fire then Hit the sidewall downwards with a mallet, also starter fluid works way better

    To Seat the beads
    Use lube!
    leave the tire on the tire machine ,
    take the core out of the valve stem
    put air in the tire lift up on it so its sitting on the front bead the best you can get it
    then use the back blast on the tire machine.
    80psi is about the max i'll go on a P rated car tire to seat beads.
    a bucket of murphy's tire grease stuff works great to get tires up on the beads if you have no equipment too
    What you're doing with the brake clean and ratchet straps is pointless and not doing anything except lighting the tire on fire, the beads were already sealed and holding air they just weren't seated all the way up the rim, all you had to do was keep putting more air in them, if you used lots tire lube when mounting they should pop up around 35-65psi normally on that profile of a tire.

  • @spencerenyart6075
    @spencerenyart6075 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's normal to fill the tires to 80/90 psi to set the bead. That's how every tire shop does it.

    If the tire is holding air but the bead isn’t fully seated I use to just pump up the air until it fully seats some tires I had about 100 psi when the bead seated then just air them out

    Pretty sure the other problem is if you still have the schrader still in the valve stem is why you couldn’t get it to seal because it regulates how much air is able to go into the tire

    Just put the 20mil spacers on both sides just like they told you to do. The 10 mil is less then 1/2 an inch the 20 mil is just over 3/4 of an inch which will put your motor back close to its stock position.
