Braid has no place on the beach abrasion resistance is very poor compared to mono cuts into fish badly when they get wrapped and it doesn't rot so with crack offs etc busy beaches end up with permanent line snags all just my oppinion obviously would be interested to here your views
The Zulcron is seems good value on the surface, however if you add titanium sic guides to the rods, it comes to the same price as a century. So if you compare spec to spec the zulcron is not a bargain.
Akios never sorted the spool problem I've known a few people have the old ones and the line would slip under the spool still that's the only reason I got a casting special over the nitron
Although it looks nice its still plagued with issues, lower diameter line still gets caught behind the spool, you cant fully spool the reel as it catches on the cage and when you open them up the build quality is still pretty poor, machine marks on the end plates etc etc would probably be more forgiving if it wasnt priced in the range of a saltist.

That rod with no name I think. BLACK PANTHER WOULD SURFICE.
All rods casted, had roughly the same airtime, from lead leaving to landing in the water . Not much in it. all depends on the reel speed, breaking etc. I don't think zulcron will hold its second hand valve, compared with a Zziplex or century and, both are built in the UK, versus China.
