Very exciting video. Common sense would tell most ppl not to listen to a teacher who is not able bodied, and the guy with the leg brace is another warning to a normal person. Then the bizarre guy with the chaps who is dressed to motorbike across the USA... nothing looked right. Then seeing you ground handle the wing so poorly right before he sent you off the mountain made me pucker up, not going to lie. This is how a horror movie should be made, way scarier than any I have seen. Your courage paid off, so happy to see you land safely on your bottom without injury.

When I was learning on Woodside I watch a lot of FlyBC students nearly end up in the trees. Then the instructor had the nerve to get mad at me for taking too long to launch because I was doing proper pre-flight checks.

Watching FlyBC students take off almost scared me off paragliding. Luckily I learnt from an instructor who taught proper ground handling control so all my takeoffs were controlled.

Hey bud, sorry for the late reply. But hopefully it is the right time for snow.
get hold of Jim at Fly BC. he is in mission. their landing zone was effected during the BC flooding and I am not sure if they allow winter flights. 6046185467 is the school phone

That was a bit sketch but great to get your first flight hey? I learned over summer of 2019 (P2) and it's all I think about now. Once you have soared with the birds, life on the ground is just time before the next flight! I plan to fly in that neighborhood this summer sometime, but mostly go to Lumby for the "big" thermals. Maybe I'll see you around!

      Awesome to hear!
I finished my P2 last year and it is great sport. I do the flight instead of watching on TH-cam, and do not get so caught up with it as it can drag you too much in it.
Let me know if you wanna connect with folks in the area and I can add you to their WhatsApp group.

You are one of the super stars, and it would've not been as great if it wasn't for you all being involved.

Bro does it have any safety?
I would like to try it, but completely nervous.

It is one of the safest flying sports, when it comes to gliders.
      However, everything comes with risk.
I would recommend doing a tandem flight(with professional) and then see if you like it before you invest your time and money in it.

There's a reserve parachute, money in the bank. Also don't pay until you have finished the course, that way there's incentive not to kill you (haha just kidding!)
