“It’s not always about getting kills” I really needed to hear that. Sometimes I go into engagements knowing I’ll probably die just cause I couldn’t secure a full health kill, but just harassing is solid as well. That pariso example, you couldn’t really pressure from that position, like the cree and zarya stuff sure when you blinked in, but from up there tracer damage is literally nothing.
Pretty good guide. I think the one thing you missed is the time wasting potential of Tracer. Good Tracer players will get into situations they know they wont kill anyone in, but they also wont die. For example, make sure the entire enemy team knows where you are and literally have several people chase you to force you out. Getting forced out as Tracer is also really valuable because youve knocked several people out of position just to deal with someone who isn't even going to die. Playing carefully, you can distract entire teams for 10 seconds or more. Even in GM, I will 1v5 like this and have it massively pay off because of the time wasted.
Something I really dont hear about for getting better on literally any hero is just playing them a lot. Like no shit you can play them a lot to get better, but don't switch off even if you are getting "countered." There is no real counter to playing well so just get good at playing into some counters when you can and try to overcome them so you don't get pressured off the character you want to play every game because low rank players dont know anything but counters.
Came because overwatch players are really aggressive lately and was called a** when I’m just trying to learn how to play 😅(I’ve never played video games until my fiancé convinced me to try last month)
