Well actually Rouge does have a crush on Knuckles, but it is unknown if he has feelings for her, and she and Shadow are just partners in Team Dark who are also good friends. Also, Silver and Blaze are just best friends.
There's a song in sonic adventure 2 for one of knuckle's stages. The lyrics of the song say: "Rouge? Yeah, she's sexy and smooth. I'm feeling her in mysterious ways." While this isn't knuckle's dialogue, his songs function as a way of expressing knuckle's thoughts. And they had a playful interaction in sonic heros. These are the only 2 instances where they both like each other and their feelings are still there. Rouge used to flirt with knuckles alot, but knuckles normally hates rouge and has no feelings for her anymore it seems. For rouge and shadow, I feel shadow doesn't see rouge that way. I think rouge might possibly have a little crush on shadow.....possibly. Sonic heros, if you use your camera to look around, she winks at you.
Actually, it's confirmed that Rouge likes both Shadow and Knuckles, it mentions that on the Sonic 06 manual. In fact, Rouge was created to also be "Shadow's Amy." You can even see that she looked more like Amy in her prototypes, just like how Shadow looked more like Sonic in his prototypes. They were basically supposed to be the "bad guy" version of Sonic and Amy. So, i guess that's one of the signs they're supposed a thing of some sort. In my opinion, i see signs of her liking both in the comics and games, and that can potentially be one of the reasons why Knuckles and Shadow almost never get along every time they interact with each other, because maybe they're subcautiously jealous of one another and there's this unspoken love triangle that going on between the three of them 🤔

Sonic and Amy are clearly a work in progress. With Amy toning down her "obsessive" feeling towards her love interest, Sonic opened up to her more. And thus grows closer to her. It makes perfect sense actually
I somehow find myself rooting for Amy despite her antics. As the franchise has gone on it’s clear it’s not a crush anymore which I like more. As much as Sonic denies it we all know he likes her back. If he ever slows down (which I’ll die before he does) Amy will be right there.

Yes he is. In Sonic X they are official couple that has several hints in Season 3 like sonic stops running away from Amy and blushes when he sees her in episode 54. The same happened in the games but much slower. He agrees to date her in Sonic Unleashed thats will be ruined thanks to the events of sonic and the black knight. They even date in the Sonic Channel's wallpaper story. And more recently they hinted how Sonic feels towards Amy in Sonic Frontiers. They even hug subtle after the Super Sonic fight. Also he calls her the sweetest person he knows in Sonic Prime. I'll say Best Sonic love interest is both Amy and Sally. Sally had alot more going for her in the comic I feel cause of how important she was so I can see alot liking Sally more cause we get to see the writing more often in the comic rather than games, but some writers also messed that up by making her constantly be with someone else instead. While Amy is the first who felt like they intentionally made her for that in the game and might be even closer to Sonic in terms of design, and she even had some growth to make us like her more but then other writers wrote her off as if that growth never happened. Both have ups and down, lol XD

Look I’ve been a Sonic Fan for a long time since my childhood years and even I can see the relationship dynamic between Sonic and Shadow, so yeah, Shadow is a potential candidate for Sonic. Romantic relationships have many different dynamics for people, they aren’t just strict “lovey-dovey, soft, or owo I love you” shit, it can be playful, teasing, nonchalant/sarcastic, sometimes very platonic/buddy buddy, competitive, the list goes on. Romantic relationship dynamics have been portrayed in media in many different ways throughout recent movies and TV series and not to mention, love is very ambiguous and has not only different types of it, but can also be expressed in many different ways. Shadow and Sonic’s relationship would probably be the competitive type, or maybe even ‘the nonchalant one and the happy go lucky one’, so many different possibilities with their relationship could be explored. Why I say this is because we all know Shadow for being level headed, serious and knowing when to get the job done, Sonic is the same way, but more of a lose cannon, and a bit of a goofball who also has a hard time listening to others. Like his other friends, Shadow acts more like an anchor for Sonic to ground him when he is sometimes too far on cloud 9. Not to mention, Shadow and Sonic are both very competitive and both love Adventure and going fast, to Sonic, Shadow is someone he wouldn’t have to slow down for unlike his other friends where, they are fast, but probably not as fast as him, nor are they as outgoing as him, Shadow, even though he can be a debby-downer sometimes, he wouldn’t have to worry about him ‘slowing down’ on occasion, they could act like an adventurous couple, always seeing the world, taking on new threats, while occasionally arguing with each other and fighting once in a while. Hence, why Shadow is a good potential candidate for Sonic, as is a good majority of his friends. Also, I’m mostly talking about the Shadow with the personality types from Adventure 2, Heroes, 06, and Prime. But in all honesty, I personally think it’s best for Sonic to remain Single, as he seems happy single right now or even forever, it just suits him more, and his personality.
Underrated honestly. It gives an objective viewpoint about it with good points. Especially about that part of Shadow being the only one Sonic doesn’t have to slow down with, and keep up with his pace. I am personally a fan of their dynamic, regardless of the status of it. Friends, siblings and you know, ships. But yeah, I don’t think a romantic relationship with anyone fits Sonic for the moment, since he’s a freedom type of person, and I can’t personally see it, hah. Hmm… seems you missed 2 of sonics girlfriends from the Archie comic, such as Fiona fox (shown here at 13:43) and Mina mongoose. There’s also Lah, the ghost girl in sonic unleashed night of the warehog animation. This is a neat video overall but it has quite a few inconsistencies, such as saying sally was in the IDW comics when the IDW comics only follow game canon, or the lack there of knowledge of the comics.
The Sonic and Elise shit never bothered me I seen enough anime to not complain about that. Japanese not knew to having humans and animals hook up in their fictional work, but I did like their relationship.

Just a bit of a correction. Sally appeared in the rebooted archie comics, not in the Idw comics, although a lot of the team from the rebooted archie comics ended up carrying over too the idw comics. All of this stuff is really confusing if you aren't into the comics, so I understand the confusion!

Not to rain on anyone’s parade, but I don’t think the freedom fighters are coming back. They’ve had a resistance/restoration program built more than six months before Frontiers even happens in canon. That was the perfect opportunity to reintroduce them, but they didn’t. I mean there are cataclysmic events happening in Sonic’s world all the time so there’s a possibility. I wouldn’t get my hopes up .
Cream is like six years old and Sonic is 15-17 years old depending on whenever he’s in the video games or in comics. Cream is too young to have romantically interested in older boys like Sonic.
For instance in Sonic Boom, Sonic is constantly hinted at (now) having feeling back for Amy. In Sonic Frontiers there are several hints at them having feeling for each other. And in the Japanese version of Sonic X , Sonic literally tells Amy he "LOVES" her back (just look at Amy's reaction, it's beyond obvious).

Actually, it's confirmed that Rouge likes both Shadow and Knuckles, it mentions that on the Sonic 06 manual. In fact, Rouge was created to also be "Shadow's Amy." You can even see that she looked more like Amy in her prototypes, just like how Shadow looked more like Sonic in his prototypes. They were basically supposed to be the "bad guy" version of Sonic and Amy. So, i guess that's one of the signs they're supposed a thing of some sort. In my opinion, i see signs of her liking both in the comics and games, and that can potentially be one of the reasons why Knuckles and Shadow almost never get along every time they interact with each other, because maybe they're subcautiously jealous of one another and there's this unspoken love triangle that going on between the three of them 🤔

They’re both dense, both stubborn, and both extremely loyal to their duties, but both respect her admire her strength, skills and intelligence, and both see her as their “friend”.
im a pretty big sonadow freak but even then in reality i cant see sonic with anybody . it just feels like friendship is much more important to sonic as a person and as a franchise. i think frontiers has tried to like make amy much better as a character and more seeming like a love interest but i really doubt anything will ever go through which i honestly think is for the better

The same happened in the games but much slower. He agrees to date her in Sonic Unleashed thats will be ruined thanks to the events of sonic and the black knight. They even date in the Sonic Channel's wallpaper story. And more recently they hinted how Sonic feels towards Amy in Sonic Frontiers. They even hug subtle after the Super Sonic fight. Also he calls her the sweetest person he knows in Sonic Prime. I'll say Best Sonic love interest is both Amy and Sally. Sally had alot more going for her in the comic I feel cause of how important she was so I can see alot liking Sally more cause we get to see the writing more often in the comic rather than games, but some writers also messed that up by making her constantly be with someone else instead. While Amy is the first who felt like they intentionally made her for that in the game and might be even closer to Sonic in terms of design, and she even had some growth to make us like her more but then other writers wrote her off as if that growth never happened. Both have ups and down, lol XD

Look I’ve been a Sonic Fan for a long time since my childhood years and even I can see the relationship dynamic between Sonic and Shadow, so yeah, Shadow is a potential candidate for Sonic. Romantic relationships have many different dynamics for people, they aren’t just strict “lovey-dovey, soft, or owo I love you” shit, it can be playful, teasing, nonchalant/sarcastic, sometimes very platonic/buddy buddy, competitive, the list goes on.
Romantic relationship dynamics have been portrayed in media in many different ways throughout recent movies and TV series and not to mention, love is very ambiguous and has not only different types of it, but can also be expressed in many different ways. Shadow and Sonic’s relationship would probably be the competitive type, or maybe even ‘the nonchalant one and the happy go lucky one’, so many different possibilities with their relationship could be explored.
Why I say this is because we all know Shadow for being level headed, serious and knowing when to get the job done, Sonic is the same way, but more of a lose cannon, and a bit of a goofball who also has a hard time listening to others. Like his other friends, Shadow acts more like an anchor for Sonic to ground him when he is sometimes too far on cloud 9. Not to mention, Shadow and Sonic are both very competitive and both love Adventure and going fast, to Sonic, Shadow is someone he wouldn’t have to slow down for unlike his other friends where, they are fast, but probably not as fast as him, nor are they as outgoing as him, Shadow, even though he can be a debby-downer sometimes, he wouldn’t have to worry about him ‘slowing down’ on occasion, they could act like an adventurous couple, always seeing the world, taking on new threats, while occasionally arguing with each other and fighting once in a while.
Hence, why Shadow is a good potential candidate for Sonic, as is a good majority of his friends.
Also, I’m mostly talking about the Shadow with the personality types from Adventure 2, Heroes, 06, and Prime.
But in all honesty, I personally think it’s best for Sonic to remain Single, as he seems happy single right now or even forever, it just suits him more, and his personality.

Hmm… seems you missed 2 of sonics girlfriends from the Archie comic, such as Fiona fox (shown here at 13:43) and Mina mongoose. There’s also Lah, the ghost girl in sonic unleashed night of the warehog animation. This is a neat video overall but it has quite a few inconsistencies, such as saying sally was in the IDW comics when the IDW comics only follow game canon, or the lack there of knowledge of the comics.
The Sonic and Elise shit never bothered me I seen enough anime to not complain about that. Japanese not knew to having humans and animals hook up in their fictional work, but I did like their relationship.
I find it funny that they hate the Sonic and Elise ship, but they love the Shadow and Maria ship. They even love the Roger Rabbit with Jessica and Sonic with Madonna ship.

Not to rain on anyone’s parade, but I don’t think the freedom fighters are coming back. They’ve had a resistance/restoration program built more than six months before Frontiers even happens in canon. That was the perfect opportunity to reintroduce them, but they didn’t. I mean there are cataclysmic events happening in Sonic’s world all the time so there’s a possibility. GREAT video!! i have so much Sonic Autism(TM) for this topic specifically so here's some extra ones you missed (most of them are very minor ones or just like a one-off thing but i mean if you included breezie then might as well, right?):
-mina mongoose (archie, a popstar who had a crush on sonic and even kissed him at one point)
-fiona fox (archie, actually dated sonic for a bit until she dumped him for scourge)
-merna the merhog (aosth, he saved her underwater city and they kissed at the end)
-roxy the raccoon (aosth, she was a waitress at a diner who was shown to have a crush on him. they also kissed lol)
-miss possum (aosth, they had like a mutual crush on each other for like an episode i guess)
-lah (sonic unleashed promotional short, she was the ghost who had a crush on sonic's werehog form specifically but as far as i know he never even learned that she existed lmao)
-perci (sonic boom, sonic and knuckles just like, thought she was hot for an episode and they fought over her. from her pov she had no interest in either of them but specifically in both of their imaginations she was attracted to them, def more of an ego thing than a romantic thing tho. also she does flirt with tails at the end)
-there are a couple scenes of blaze blushing during an interaction with sonic in the games and in the comics but there's never more than the slightest of implications.
i personally adore amy rose and her relationship with sonic, but even aside from shipping wars it's just so fascinating to me how often they used to just give random characters a romantic interest in sonic, especially with sega's rules. (imo archie comic issue 222 was the quintessential, "what not to do when portraying sonic in a romantic relationship", but that's neither here nor there.) the idw comics are doing so much justice to amy's character and her dynamic with sonic lately, it's so refreshing to see and i really hope we continue seeing their relationship develop further :')
