My issue with xbox is that ever since the beginning of this generation, its ALL just promises and trailers. Every single thing that dropped was disappointing or terribly optimised. I dont believe in promises and trailers no more, imma need to play the actual games

Fully agree! It really put Sony to shame. I was holding out to decide which console. I think the series X will move my ps4 aside. Especially since sparking zero is on xbox also

Exactly- it’s currently the same position they’ve been in for last decade” just potential” majority didn’t show gameplay or release date. The main draw gears looked great on the trailer but we’re looking at mid 2026 as earliest.
Just going off the title before watching the video, it’s either click bait or you shoulda chosen a better title. Xbox had a better show case (finally) saying it won the console generation is really stretching it out though
I just hope they can deliver considering they have a history of hyping up games or taking forever to release a games and delivering them as trash games or mediocre like and one they did make good aren’t really console sellers like Sunset overdrive hi-fi rush and I guess sea of thieves

@@kingsleyjackson8287So far they dropped Silent Hill: The Short Message, Helldivers 2, Final Fantasy Rebirth, Rise of the Ronin & Stellar Blade. Rest of this year they will drop Silent Hill 2 Remake, Astro Bot & Lego Horizon Adventures. That’s 8 exclusives in 1 year.
Upcoming games that has been announced so far is Death Stranding 2, Phantom Blade Zero & Insomniacs Wolverine.
If you say won the showcase battle hell yeah but overall? Nah.
I’m happy for Xbox because then I can finally dust it off from my closet, but anyone who wants to think they have won something is delusional. They still haven’t really released anything. Most of those games just said 2025 or 2024, most didn’t have actual dates which means they can still be pushed back further. And a lot of games were also for ps5 and they just removed the logo because it’s an Xbox showcase and they wanna look like there is more games. Flintlock, assassins creed, metal gear, life is strange. Stalker. Black ops 6. All for other consoles too. Gears of war has no date which means years away. Same with fable.
Xbox ain’t gonna win shit until these games come out and are great games so stop with the meatriding by saying that Xbox is making great again just because Xbox had a descent showing of games
Same with PlayStation even tho they’ve had a bad year. Only having one good game this year The point is just stop saying that any console are making gaming great or winning the generation just because they show good looking games.
Your outlook on gamepass is actually pretty inaccurate.
And physical games will also be useless in the future as games get larger, the games wont be able to fit On the disks.

How so? With the recent closures and mass layoffs, I’m not convinced that the gamepass business model is sustainable.

Nintendo cartridges are proprietary hardware for specific consoles with eventual obsolescence. ✌🏾god.
@@anOccasionalGamer Sony also closed Playstation London Studios recently, people seem to ignore this fact. Microsoft actually realocated the talent from the closed studios, playstation just fired them.

Disagree. The majority of their announcements were inherited through publisher buyout. They put together this smokescreen, and it's like we're supposed to just forget what they did with their massive closures. Yes, the last State of Play Sony did was mostly bad except for Astro. But that doesn't mean Microsoft should get credit for essentially paying to win by buying up a large portion of the industry.
Its the unfortunate truth, but microsoft did pay to win to gain what they have. Their model is, if you can't beat em, acquire them. It is was it is. I guess one could argued that the large portion of the industry didn't have to accept microsofts offer.
And trust me, this showcase did not make me forget all the massive closures. I am worried all these games coming to gamepass will lead to more closures. We'll have to wait and see how this all pans out.
@@anOccasionalGamer I agree, and I know a lot of people like to bring up Sony's acquisitions as well. Their acquiring Bungie is an outlier, as every studio that they previously bought were already only making PlayStation games, although Insomniac dabbled into Xbox a few times (one of the main reasons I bought a Series X was to play Sunset Overdrive).
That being said though, I do want to see more mainly from South of Nowhere, the new Perfect Dark, and the new Gears. I'm not much of an RPG/soulslike/live service person, which was most of the remaining showcase for me.
Sony have done the same? Bought studios and made exclusivity on the titles. Microsoft can just afford bigger companies

They were buying _studios that were already only making PS games._ Aside from a few outliers from Insomniac, and the Bungie purchase, the studios that Sony bought were already PS exclusive in spirit. Microsoft purchased publishers, Bethesda and Activision, both of them are made up of SEVERAL different studios. Therein lies the difference. It's not a matter of "Microsoft can afford bigger companies." It's that they can afford to purchase several companies at a time, making it look smaller by only calling it one purchase.
