- Hello guys and gals, it's me Mutahar again! This time we take a look at the Xbox Showcase of 2024 and finally after seeing just games upon games, it's great to see nearly of all of them look quite amazing. Some Franchises that I expected would stay dormant finally showed up such as Gears of War which puts nothing short of a smile on my face. Thanks for watching!

Gears of War E-Day is basically the Halo Reach of the Gears of War franchise.

Not really, Reach Would be like the GoW Judgment that is set in the first days of war, the equivalent to the E Day it'd be Contact Harvest and the closest we have to that is Halo Wars, so there is that.

Gears of War E Day is something i never thought they would actually make. Well, technically, with Judgement, they did give us something about the early days of the war.
Facts man. Hyped.
The closest we got was Raams DLC, so this is going to be awesome. Back to the "we are winning the battles but losing the war" feel GoW1 captured, cant wait to see the snatch of victory within inches of defeat this game may pull. Im pumped!

Damn I didn’t know showing games we already knew about with no release meant shutting down newly acquired studios that produce quality games.

@@eodyn7 just because a game studio was shut down/ wasn’t popular doesn’t make them a bad studio. They just were a niche studio that weren’t given much if any marketing for their titles. I still hate them being closed (The Evil Within 2 being one of my favorites). But it’s simply a case of a great studio that didn’t make games that appealed to everybody.

I work for Xbox but can empathize with a lot of your complaints/comments/observations around the direction the business and experience seems to be going. To see you still be objective in your analysis of the show, well I expected nothing less and exemplifies your knowledge and valuable critique in this space. Thanks again for an entertaining video!
Even if its the "Game Pass Effect" smaller games that are experimental in nature is a good direction for theses studios. Massive titles that don't take risks because they have overinflated budgets isn't working.

Black ops 2 was a cool campaign because of the different events that can take place during the campaign based on your “choices” with the different endings which isn’t a whole lot but gives it more replay value compared to most of the other campaigns
lmao I remember when people were complaining about BO4 not having a single player campaign and how it’s basically going to be useless when the servers go offline. BO6 will be having a campaign but the game having a constant internet requirement is actually going to render the game completely useless when the servers are gone.
Meanwhile BO4 can still be played offline as long as you’re on console and already have the game installed.

It was surprising to see xbox actually being really cool in this showcase alot of really cool stuff like doom, gears, souls like games, stalker 2, bo6 looking amazing, perfect dark aswell

@@TheoriginalBMT I might be crazy, but I think that there will be a point in the future where Internet connection will become as accessible as/ or integrated into electricity. Given the cons online has in today's live service there must be a reason as to why Devs/publishers are doing this other than to make participate in the live service meta.
And it is pure bullshit. COD looks like shit and yet they have uber oversized textures and assets that they haven't arsed at compressing at all. I'd blame the devs on this one.

Perfect dark is one of the big standouts imo, the trailer is really cool and I am really hyped for the game.
Same! the parkour mirrors edge type stuff looks like it will EXTREMELY fun!! perfect dark is my favorite n64 game. the xbox360 perfect dark was still good, but not as good as the n64 one. But implementing new mechanics like the parkour type stuff I think will really bring a sweet new flavor to the series.
im really not into fps, but that game shows me a proper animation for first person that doesnt looke like wonky
i feel the combat is much cleaner and cinematic version of cyberpunk

Texture streaming has been in COD since MWII and its actually a settings option that can be turned off, so i assume that because BO6 will be on the COD launcher, the same will apply to it

Texture streaming has been available for the past few cod titles. You can turn it off from the settings

For the Perfect Dark reboot, if I don't see a fully comprehensive offline multiplayer suite at LEAST akin to what we got in Perfect Dark Zero, then I will scream for blood. And I'm NOT going to accept any lame-ass """AAA""" excuses either like, "Oh, we didn't know that's what fans wanted." Fuck you. If you truly didn't know, then you had NO FUCKING BUSINESS making the Perfect Dark reboot. All that said, I would also ironically accept that they not ship any MP at all but made sure the campaign didn't need any internet connection and was complete at launch. I would literally rather they not include any MP at all rather than see them fuck it up just like how they fucked up Halo.
Also, on a side-note, fuck that texture-streaming excuse for Call of Duty 6. Way to just waste any excitement I ever had for your game with just one fucking sentence, Microsoft. If they or other people want me to start being more positive about Microsoft's entire gaming division, then they need earn my trust again, and right now, sorry to say, it's not looking good on that front.

I was sorta sad we didn't see anything about Blade but overall this showcase has been great. I got so excited seeing STALKER 2 and there're a lot of games I now get to look forward to.
Expedition 33 gameplay looks similar to an old but good game called Lost Odyssey that was an Xbox 360 exclusive (but not made by the same company of course).

@@mrfalleo The Laptop gun was so cheap, yes pls! Also, that broken ass Farsight gun 🤣. I spent over a thousand of hours in Combat sim, beat every mission, and made some of the wildest game modes.
First with Summer Games Fest with showing great reveals to now Xbox with Doom, Gears, Lifr is Strange, Perfect Dark, Metal Gear, Expedition 33, South of Midnight, Indiana Jones, and more. Got some good news on the horizon.
Still sucks they didn't even acknoldge the numerous layoffs such as with Tango but alas, aftter the previous PR nothing response shouldn't have expected that.

Looking at all the games they showcased, And how many really got me excited to play. I don't see how you can't justify the monthly subscription as the best deal out there.

Just an FYI, that 300 gigs for Black Ops 6 is for the COD HQ in total if have BO6, MWII, and MWIII installed at once.
