    Hilarious! I was amused that "growing peanuts" followed "squirrel problems". I rent, so I have a container garden. My first garden here I had peanuts growing in nearly every container thanks to the squirrels. My neighbor feeds the birds (read: squirrels).

    Zone 6 gardening here. Our weather is all the extremes now! Normally we have 4 harsh seasons ( hot summers 96F, winters can be -15F to -20F,) with massive storms all year, but now it's so crazy! Last year we had a Heat Dome 120F and I found a way that my garden THRIVED and grew taller than above our heads! I want to share that with everyone! Winter was delayed, blizzards and freezing rain, then it jumped from winter to summer heat. We had tornados and crazy storms. Now I kid you not, leaves finally started falling 4 days ago, then 2 days ago 27F freeze and hail, and today there was 8-10" of snow and freezing winds. Yep, jumped from summer to winter. I got it on video. I absolutely love seeing your videos because one, you are hilarious and the two of you are a great team, and two, I love watching just how much you can do in a more stable temperature environment. Love the pumpkin/jack-o'-lantern decoration amidst the corn too! Our pumpkins were covered in snow this morning! Thank you for a great, informative and funny video! I love peppers and spicy foods. May you not have dragon breath from the peppers for long, and may your taste buds recover the burn! 😀

    Love your guys videos :) With regards to the fruit tree question, you actually are far better off pruning in the very early spring. When pruning in the fall especially where you are getting a frost the tree doesn't have time to heal the cut. This can lead to some potential damage and disease. Early spring pruning gives you the most fruit.

    @Epic Homesteading
    Perfect timing as I just harvested the last of my peppers here in 8b 100 miles north of Seattle.
    Scotch Bonnets are on my list for next year as they're about the same heat as Habanero, but sweeter/fruitier. 😋
    And yeah, the pith(or ribs) is where most of the heat is. Case in point, I grew Peach Carolina Reapers as an experiment this year, just to see if they would grow here. They did, but I'm pretty sure they got pollinated by my Habaneros, because none of the peppers have that "stinger" at the tip, and they all look like super-sized bright orange Habaneros. Serious, 2.5" - 3" long pods, but they look nothing like reapers. So I've inadvertently created a monster that I'm calling Reapanero. I sampled one...sliced 1/4" off the tip...zero heat, literally tasted like sugary peach candy...flavor off the charts! Then I sliced another 1/8" ring...still sweet peaches with mild heat, much less than even Jalapeño. So I carved off another 1/8" ring getting into the ribs...Holy Balls! I can handle spicy, but that had me doubled over in pain with sweat pouring from my eye sockets for 30 minutes & I couldn't feel my tongue for 4 hours. 🤣
