Brian, you are a shining example of what MTG players should aspire to be. You're intelligent, skilled AND polite. A rare combination given the reality of many players. You might singlehandedly be the most popular player in the entirety of MTG due to your excellent disposition and attitude. A gentleman and a scholar! Congratulations on your victory and that beautiful Black Lotus!! 💯
he is highly rewarded by many followers and subscribers. He really loves the game and loves to figure out the way to win. Also loves to share it. You can learn so much!!!
Brian, to hear about this tournament so much from you, and other content creators, and to wake up and see you won it all puts the biggest smile on my face. So happy for you, you've always been an insane player able to bestow your knowledge to the rest of us magic nerds. Congrats! And keep doing what you're doing man, loving every second of it.
As a registered dietitian who is constantly bringing food for myself and my friends/teammates at tournaments, I love this episode sponsored by good nutrition. Constantly telling competitive gamers to pack snacks, bring an extra bottle of water in case you can't run to the fountain between rounds, and think ahead with meals
BRAVO BRIAN!! What an absolute clinic on competitive play! As someone who does not play tournaments because of the mental stress, I really appreciated this breakdown and how you navigated some of the less obvious aspects like fatigue, diet, etc. A job well done, truly!
Congratulations!! This put a big smile in my soul. I listen to your videos almost daily and will admit daydream while slogging thru work, kids, adulting, etc. I vicariously stay in touch with my Magic roots thru you! 🎉 Thank you for taking me and all of us thru the work, the twists, the struggles, and in this case the victories! I am keenly aware of the hard work and dedication this takes. Thank you, and congratulations again! Enjoy this!
I don’t know you, but have been along with you for this journey for years, and I just want to say I really appreciate you and your content of course, but also your overall humility and self awareness. Congratulations to a job well done. In the tournament and just on the channel in general. Thank you Brian. Benjamin, from Tucson.
These reports are always great. Thanks for putting in the effort and, of course, congratulations on your win! I am going to tell my grandchildren that the NYSE Open champ beat the ever-loving hell out of me on MTGO one time.
i watch your videos most days and i never skipped your NYSE open ad read on any of them cause it sounded like you were genuinely excited about this cool event. of course you went and won the lotus.
Hey Bosh, nice job on the win. Funny enough your ad for NYSE convinced me to try going originally, although I decided not to due to the MH3 release window. Hearing your coverage about cards like Vexing Bauble makes me glad I made the choice I did, as I have no play group for Vintage, so I wouldn’t have been able to do any playtesting/idea bouncing. Would have been my first Vintage tourney had I gone though. Thanks for the great content as always!
Congratulation. It is always interesting listening to people explain their reasoning behind the choices they make when building a deck. Thank you for your in site it has made me a better deck builder.
Congratulations on the amazing finish and thanks for the excellent report! A big takeaway for me from your video is that the game outside the game really can make the difference; taking care of your mental state and just a smidgeon of showmanship in the spots where it mattered played a real role here
LETS FUCKING GO!!! I know you already own a lotus but youre the reason i have mine from that black Fridays deal. Finally getting it graded in Amsterdam actually!
Congrats! Actually stayed up until 4ish in the morning to watch the Top 8 It was really insightful to watch live and follow your path to the win Always enjoy the disciplined and reflected way you approach these tournaments Now if you would not have spoiled the result in the title ....... 😋
Congratulations Brian! Couldn’t have happened to a nicer fella or a more skilled, more deserving, or more entertaining mage! I wish I could have afforded the flight over from the UK but hopefully with the success of this tournament, there will be more that I can attend but in any event I’m really happy for you.

Thats so cool, I was legit telling my dad about you, the tournament and vintage. Than you win ITTT. (also so cool you added stuff you were testing in your vids , like the null rod)
🤩🤩 Nooooooo you DIDN'T! CONGRATS Bosh! That's amazing!! Well earned and super fantastic. It's always great to see amazing decks amazingly played on your channel. I can't remember the first of your videos that I saw, but it's definitely been a while. Thank you for all the content.
Grats man, it's a great win and great to see someone really passionate about the game win big. Even when I've been burned out or less than happy with formats and the direction some things in MTG has / have gone, boshnroll jamming eternal has been a big spark in keeping my enjoyment and engagement in magic.
Who knew that funny magic guy I accidentally found years and years ago would win a black lotus and is one of my most viewed channels. Man brother really is in the Shippuden arc inn't he
Hey Bosh I've been watching you for ages I just wanted to say your content is amazing as a new creator I've been struggling to think what additional content i can offer loyal viewers but you giving sneak peaks and simply making videos like this is super inspiring! Thank you for the content you make and thank you for being such a good influence on the magic community :)
Congrats on the big win!! 49:57 I would guess that your opponent thought their priest would hold with counterspell backup, and so was holding onto the mite for something else that might steal the win from them like Bolas' Citadel or Null Rod - not thinking about the potential of uncounterable removal. In other words: they tried to do a "how can I lose here?" consideration, but failed to consider all the ways they could lose lol. I know you said in the deck discussion that in the past you'd been on Dismember, so they might have expected that.
MY BOI IS COOKING AGAIN! GZ BIG MAN! Surely HOF soon :D You gotta get in on those other formats! Get your name out there for the voting and catch some top 8s in standard etc. I think that's how it works anyways idfk. Gz again broski!
"Eat this" 4real. I remember when I still traveled heavily for events. I'd be sleeping on floors, out late drinking with friends if I didn't make top cuts. But otherwise I basically treated it like an athlete. People would always give me grief about my meals. I'd pack prepped stuff or get really specific when we'd go out. One store owner asked a friend what I was training for lol.
I think something just as, or maybe more likely, is that in that Top 8 match against Doomsday your opponent had already predetermined the Black Lotus floating mana to be for Thassa's Oracle, and was counting on the Mox Sapphire for the blue for the Flusterstorm backup. Since you responded to the Mox, he had fried into his brain that it was the Mox that was the protection, not that he had protection the entire time, which definitely sounds like something a good number of players would do after something as stressful as that threatening of a Doomsday line.
Millennial wins magic tournament with the power of avocado toast.
Boomers in shambles.
@@BoshNRoll GenX is ... whatever
Picks up a Manscaped sponsorship, proceeds to win a Black Lotus - not a coincidence
Smooth skin, wrinkly brain
Manscape: Whenever a human enters the battlefield under your control, each opponent sacrifices a token
Hey, you don’t want to damage the lotus petals.
Really happy for you! I watch your videos everyday!
This man is a machine that turns magic tournaments into won tournaments
Holy fucking shit. What the actual fuck. This has to be THE lifetime achievement (so far).
This is the second largest individual prize I've won. Eternal Weekend paintings sell for more than a Lotus.
@@BoshNRoll actually absurd. Was NOT aware of that. You're a bonafide pro player with significant af wins, on top of being a pro content creator.
@@BoshNRollthat time walk looks sick in your wall!

They were either playing around Tinker or forgot I had access to Long Goodbye. I can't cast Decay there, so it's a 50/50 call.
I'm so happy for you Brian!! Congratulations and well deserved for all you do for the community
Congrats! Love the content and the trophy couldn’t have gone to a nicer guy.
Wow, congratulations Brian. Huge!
Congratulations! Well deserved. Keep the tournament reports coming.

Congratulations
Hell yeah congrats!
Nice work Brian!
I was waiting for this video!
Huge shout-out to that Avocado-Quinoa bowl XD
