i rarely watch football match but i play football as midfielder. Since this match, I admire Pirlo so much. One of the best midfielder match ever. I like his style. Not fancy, no sprint, no dribble, just cool pass. He himself looks cool

After rewatching this everybody can clearly see why Italy won this. Pirlo was the one pulling the strings the whole match, and Germany were completely unable to do anything against him.
I never forget this game over the final simply from pirlo running top speed for 120 mins straight. I also predicted the end to my friends while watching it at their house
at first you might think this is boring, then you realize you're watching pretty much ALL of the passes he made in the game and he didn't fail ONE. Despite the world cup and a very successful career as a player in general, I still believe he's the most underrated midfielder ever. If you could keep an accurate track of his % of completed passes, he'd probably be on top, which is even more remarkable considering most of them were passes forward.
