I did a media degree with emphasis on advertising and I spotted this trend a few years ago. Everyone I pointed it out to said they hadn't noticed it but within a day or two were repeating my own words back to me. This happened over and over again.
As the panellist on the right said this will lead to division which I believe is the point. There are people like David Lammy MP, who are unremarkable people but make a career out of stoking racial division and hatred.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice. You could expect a black person or family to pop up on the occasional ad, but it's the majority now. It's rare to see an all white family on a TV ad.

Something like 5% of the population are gay. Blacks have poor educational outcomes. Women, although they're more than half of the population, work half as much as men. These are reasons why these groups wouldn't and shouldn't be equally "represented". People should be chosen on qualifications.

Oh but people are talking about it… in pubs, cafes, trains etc … I travel a lot and I hear this one commonly discussed, it’s so blatant as to be farcical… the ad agencies are so determined to suck up to whatever the latest minority cause is that they’ll do any thing to show their PC credentials, including showing a version of Britain that isn’t representative. The sad thing is that many who previously didn’t give a stuff are questioning why they are being fed this BS via advertising and it’s pushing them to the right, and the real trouble makers like hardcore racists etc have been handed the perfect excuse to get worse as they just see certain sections of society as now unfairly over represented and so the circle continues. A near neighbour told me last week that since Christmas she has purchased no products advertised on TV featuring an over proportion of Black actors in their advertising . She has saved just over a £1000 since Jan 2nd

I was watching Father Brown recently, set in a tCotswold village in the 1950s and half the people in it were black? Walking around the village, in the pubs, at the village Fete. It's a deliberate attempt to make it seem as though Britain has had black populations for far longer than it really has. I never saw any black people growing up until I took a trip to London in my 20s. There were a handful of people of Pakistani origin where I lived but no black people at all. Black people did not exist in any significant numbers in Britain until well after WW2, but that does not stop the media pushing this false narrative.

Having to wear a facemask was at the beginning of subservience and subjugation - nothing to do with a virus that could travel through and around such an object.
Also, there are very few ads featuring older white people. Unless you count all the funeral plan ads or equity release company ads which are almost exclusively white. Having said that, they’ve even shoe-horned a black son in law and mixed race kids into one of those now as well! There’s no escape. We don’t live in a black majority country, so why do the tv ads make me feel like a stranger in my own country.None of these ads speak to me; I don’t see myself or people like me fairly represented in them so why should I buy their products?

I agree. There are even some kind of unspoken guidelines to these adverts - I haven't seen an Asian male with a black woman, You see white males with mixed race women but no fully black women. You dont see black men with white blonde women.

I am to the point of complete avoidance. I resent the forced diversity and inclusivity in every advert crammed down my throat. I am American and it is just as blatant over here. Chatted with an elderly friend to day and he raised the point that he is feeling a resentment towards minonorities that previously would never have entered his consciousness, and its mostly to do with all the adverts and casting of POC,s on television and programming of whatever genre that is not representative of 90% of the population.

Thank you GB News for discussing this item. Looking at the huge number of comments indicates how strongly people feel about this issue. I avoid adverts because of the wokery and over representation. I like to watch period/costume dramas on TV but I avoid any that have black washed the historical accuracy.

I find it bizarre that non white people would choose to live under such oppression in the west. Take any other place in the world…let’s say Japan. Imagine being white, choosing to move to Japan and then being extremely offended that the culture, laws, media and societal structure is heavily biased towards ethnically Japanese people. There is no demand for Japan to have more mixed race/ gay/ trans people and to suggest so would be very disrespectful. Same with the entire Asian continent and bluntly anywhere not western. The extreme lefties that are actively seeking out offence and discrimination somehow are entirely blind to their own.
And yet I read recently of a Japanese politician who is advocating more immigration and more diversity. Extraordinary. Japan must be very isolated from events in the West.

@@anthonymarsh880 Japan has almost no immigration apart from a small group of Americans near military bases and some Brazilians born to Japanese families in Sao Paulo. A little bit of immigration could well help Japan but I would imagine it will be small numbers skill based and background checked beyond belief before you can set up shop.

ONS stats show that white english kids will be outnumbered in primary school by children of third world descent by 2030. Average age of a primary school kid is 8 yrs , so it follows that by 2040 they will be eighteen and voting for their own thus achieving political power. Advertisers are ensuring their place on the diversity band wagon.

There is one advert in particular that really bugs me. That being the one where Rapunzel who in the fairytale had long golden hair is replaced by a black feminist. This of course wasn't so much a reimagining of a fairytale character rather the writers were mocking our Anglo Saxon culture

Advertisers and programme makers need to realise that outside of London and some other big cities, there are many places in the country where you can go for weeks without seeing a poc. Looking at the tv, ads, dramas, movies, soaps, every single programme, you could be mistaken in thinking you were in Africa. 97% of the total number of black peoples in the U.K. ( less than 2.5million ) live in London, advertisers need to remember this. It’s gotten so bad that the white actors who have been in the regular ads for a long time have now been replaced by black actors and white men seem to be a disappearing species! We are a majority white country and outside of London this fact is very evident. White people are being attacked from all sides, it will come as no surprise if, eventually our tolerance and acceptance wears out!!

It's true. I live in a largeish village in Leicestershire where alot of commuters live. There is a Chinese family who own the takeaway and there is a black family on the road. Everyone else i have seen is white. It's a different story if you go into the city but there's hardly any black people, it's mainly people from India and the middle east

Because of the 3% of the population being on every TV advert I dont watch TV anymore, it really winds me up. Boxsets of 70's 80's comedy plus Utube is all I need.

A big trend in the USA as well. I see an advert and there is every tick box in the commercial. Oh, something I noticed is the majority are black men with white women. Black women with Hispanic, or Asian, men. Not always the case, but most of the time. Stereotypes right there so flat out racism. btw, White men I don't see coupled much any more and instead play the whacky neighbour or some other buffoon type.

All I can say is that I have worked abroad most of this century and for the last 10 years divided my time between three countries. The UK has changed so much over those 10 years and people of a generation of 45+ are just fed up of it. As a white middle aged man you are made to feel unwelcome in your own country. We are at fault for everything and cannot state the obvious for fear of being racist, which we must be in any case, or transphobic or anti LGBT whatever, I also have several gay friends and they don’t like this lgbtq+ their reasoning is why do they get put in a box with other people with completely different issues.
I truly fear for the UK you don’t get this rubbish in France or most of Europe and certainly not Turkey or the Middle East

Endless adverts featuring a white woman with a black man or a jolly family of a black family driving off in their expensive new car. What I haven't found, up to now, is blacks appearing in historical dramas but no doubt it won't be long before we'll be treated to a black Louis XIV or Marie-Antoinette. This whole ridiculous nonsense is enough to make you weep and I no longer recognise the UK as the country it used to be. Far too much pandering to minorities and a lack of traditional respect and values have meant England has gone on to the dogs.

If you watch BBC news and they go and interview someone, you know it's going to be a bame person that's interviewed first. If there's a crime against a bame person the BBC always mentions the colour of that person, but when a crime is committed by a bame person, nothing is mentioned.
Last year I had to have a meeting with a person who was about to fly out of the
UK , they were staying in Hounslow because of the nearness to Heathrow.
I arranged to come up to their hotel , I had to drive into Hounslow find the hotel
and wait in a common area for my 1 hour meeting . I can honestly say from
the moment I entered Hounslow till I drove out of the place I never saw 1 white
face , all the hotel staff seemed to be Asian of some type , maybe even Hispanic.
Lots of people moving about but no white people on the streets either ,
I did find this really surprising .

Adverts are just part of the problem. Last year I applied for several jobs, half of which specifically requested minority applicants and i work in a field which is predominantly female. When someone's ability to get a job is reduced because you're a straight white male, it's not surprising they are becoming sensitive to this agenda. We are promoting diversity by handicapping a certain demographic.

This is also the case in Denmark, if there is an advertisement for clothes, then you get the impression that only people from the Middle East and Africa wear clothes, if you see an information folder with a picture, there are two colored and one white. and so on
