We are doing the same thing with our jeeps. Cargo is great . unhook and do some trails without overlanding with all your gear and weight. Great job on this and handy tips..❤❤❤✌✌✌
First off... Looks great 👍 Thanks for going over this. Many times all you see are these $40k-$100k+ offroad campers or teardrops that end up weighing much more or make you feel like you're towing /dragging an anchor ⚓
Great job I’m building a 5x10 for our ford maverick it’s fwd and can pull 2000 lbs with 20 Sq feet of aero area but I have a v nose . I pulled it at 70 but the Maverick seams to really like it at 65 2022 Maverick with the 2.0 turbo 28 mpg
Ok, finally the video I’ve been waiting on lol. Very nice job on the build and all the good information for us 2 door people. I’m having hard time finding a aluminum frame trailer in middle Tn. Looks like these are more of a northern trailer. But this is definitely the way I’m going to go, maybe delivery if they offer ...
I am so glad we can help!!! You might be able to look up lightning trailer dealers on the Forrest River website. So far, its the only aluminum trailer I have seen, but I have not actively been looking. We actually stumbled across this at a dealer near our home in North Georgia. I hope you find what you need! Thanks so much for watching!!!
I have a 2016 jeep wrangler 2 door and I want to pull a 1800-1900lb enclosed trailer probably 1 every 2 weeks, I’m I okay in doing that or should I invest in a new vehicle?
You need to dump to front trailer dolly. It is going to get in you way on dips, ditches and whoop dee doo's when it digs into the dirt or gets bent up, even if you took those flopping wheels off.
Jeep TJ here, in the process of doing an 5.3 turbo with 4L80e... will be towing a small -17ft travel trailer with anderson hitch system.

Thank you !!! 65 seems to be the best speed. If I go over 70 mph my gas mileage drops from about 13 to 8.5... Thanks for watching!!!

Jeeps are typically good up to 2000 pounds. Try it out to be sure. We have been able to do 2000 without problems. Thanks for watching!!!

Thanks for the heads up and thanks for watching!!!
What does doors have to do with towing?
Thanks for watching!!! it's strange, but a 2 door jeep towing capacity is rated 2000 pounds. A 4 door jeep is rated at 3500 pounds...
Is this Jeep lifted? How much? Tire size? Have a 2007 Wrangler with a 6” lift kit and 35” tires and would love this type of setup.
It is lifted with a 3 inch lift and 33 inch tires. Thanks so much for watching!!!
