I purchased this album in 1979 on the heels of a breakup with a girl I was dating for almost 2 years. (She broke it off) I was 22. Later that year I met the girl who would become my bride and the love of my life. She was so beautiful. Sadly she passed away 2 years ago at the age of 57.
What a beautiful song. Rest in peace, Dennis and Carl Wilson. The three Wilson brothers were all blessed with musical souls. Brian carries their memory in his heart.
Reminds me of a BB concert I saw at the Universal Amithreater when it was an outdoor venue. Dennis Wilson singing this song. A very moving live performance. Late 70's
Karen Lamm sang in THIS song, Background vocals? Can you be specific what/ where she is singing? Curious to hear what she sounds like... never heard her or can be able to hear her sing, just curious... So wish there was more stuff out there ABOUT her DEATH at such a YOUNG AGE and from heart failure? She was a huge influence from what I've read with documentaries regarding Dennis Wilson and The Beach Boys and so forth... like I said very curious...
This should be considered among the best
in the Beach Boys canon.

I think a lot of people mistake Rolling Stone's opinions for facts, but a ton of my favourite albums aren't that well liked by them.
Many critics have little credibility, truth be known....they typically jump on a bandwagon to make themselves look good*

I've never heard of Karen Lamm singing on this track.
Other than the horrible remake of "Here Comes The Night", this album was a really great recording, mainly due to Dennis's work.
