I literally just deleted my Instagram account 5 minutes ago. I'm not overweight but ANY means, but it made me feel likewise, and the comparing myself to others' lifestyles and bodies was becoming so toxic. I must say for the first few minutes so far, it does feel freeing. I'm just done with social media.
I agree. I chose a while ago to unfollow all these people who kept telling me what "pretty" was and what procedures they were having done. I wish them well, but I feel free not having to compare myself everyday

Social media makes me physically ill and I've cried myself to sleep so many nights scrolling though these girls' accounts with their bodies and every inch of skin showing wondering why I can't feel sexy and show myself that way. but than I realize that it's actually pretty awkward that girls do this. It's absurd and totally ridiculous when you think about what content they are actually putting out there and for who and why? how into themselves are they? and do they realize that they are mostly looking the same now with their swollen bee-stung lips and strangely alien-like hip to waist ratios?! I miss the glamour and allure of women of earlier eras. Any of us can look like this with the effort they are putting in for a single post... Girls, just remember that they took a thousand photos, edited, had makeup/glam, hair, photographer, lighting, makeup all over their bodies/spray tan, whatever the hell else. You are beautiful.

A lot of them Photoshop the picture or they usually post the best picture after taking hundreds of them. I mean, I am the type of man who really likes a natural woman with a curvy body and trust me, a lot of men feel the same.

SHAME on all the people who called her fat! She’s gorgeous, no matter what her size is.
I think this a great first step towards "real." However, for women still comparing themselves to this shoot and feeling down, remember she had a team of PROFESSIONALS helping with makeup, hair, wardrobe, getting the perfect angles in natural light, and getting coached on how to pose for the perfects shots. Kudos to Kate for doing this, but it was still a team effort to make her look even more gorgeous than she already is.

It’s easy to say these things when you look the way she does
I hear you, I really do. But let’s not act like “skinny” or “beautiful” people don’t or can’t have insecurities or feelings in general.
I don’t look anything near Kate Upton and would honestly kill to have a body like hers. But I can recognize that she’s human, just like I am. Just like we all are. She’s allowed to have insecurities and she’s allowed to feel vulnerable sometimes in a body that might not be exactly the way it was pre-baby. Let’s give Kate, and others like her, a little grace and allow them to feel real human things. It’s something we all have in common, after all, even if our bodies don’t all look the same :)

Being that I've always been on the plump side, my daughter who is now a teenager came home.. and she said to me, Mom, your fat! I told her with a smile. It's not what you look like, it's what you do with your life. :) I'm pleasantly plump I told her, and I said calling me fat doesn't bother me at all. I have a close relationship with God and that's what matters in the end. She sat there, thought about what I said. and later came up to me that night and said Mom , I love you , can you give me a hug? I said, I love you too.

She may not see herself that way. It's all relative. She works with gorgeous people all day and in that industry you are picked apart. My favorite quote is "comparison is the thief of joy" because it's true in so many ways. Just because she is beautiful doesn't mean she isn't human with feelings! There's always going to be some one better off than you...and someone who wishes they had what you have.
She is warm and likeable and clearly intelligent, but having an incredibly wealthy, beautiful (young) woman talking about how hard it is to be ‘real’ is a bit disingenuous to put it mildly. Even on her worst day and ‘untouched’ in photos, she will still be considered stunning by the vast majority of people.
The message is one I wholeheartedly approve of - every person should feel valued and beautiful, but being ‘untouched’ in a photo when you already fit into the top few percent of women who match what society deems to be truly beautiful doesn’t strike me as being very ‘brave’.
Can we not criticize Kate please? It's not worth complaining about. Every woman deserves to be recognized as beautiful, wealthy or not. Status doesn't really matter.

Those initials are actually the initials of my Psychologist, the Female Doctor that I give the credit for having the most influence in healing me of my past, other than Joe Rogan and his many ways of inspiration and influence. I spent 60-80 hours speaking to her I believe. She was just one of my shrinks lol. I like that you are reaching out and trying to inspire females in several ways. Congratulations on the lil lady baby. Stop saying literally ;-)
I can see in your eyes that you lack the repetitive practice of a disciplined focus one usually gets from meditation, certain sports or education. Challenge your brain big time I think it would help your overall sense of self. But for real though, you sound like a genuine person with the desire to inspire, sharpen up your speaking skills because you just appear to need a little formal refining. Or 3 months... If you have a healthy lifestyle and proper motivation. The right exercise for a mere 15 minutes a day will get you such a long way, but most people hide behind excuses
chiraine1 Pregnancy can cause permanent changes to the body such as stretch marks, loose skin, sagging breasts, diastasis recti etc.
Even if you get back to the same weight, your appearance will never be the same pre-pregnancy.
Some people don’t understand how hard pregnancies can be on the body.
No amount of exercise can fix certain things.

But in regard to some of the things you mentioned, stretch marks are prevented by proper skincare, I know plenty of people without a single mark, diastasis recti isn't permanent, again proper excersise will put those muscles back in place. Took my cousin less than 3 months for her split to go from 4 fingers wide to only 1. Obviously pregnancy changes you, but the things most women complain about are either preventable or fixible,but they'd rather complain about it then actually do something and than act jealous of other women who do do something about it and look the same after their pregnancies as before
chiraine1 Those creams you are referring to are gimmicks just like the anti-aging creams are. The people without a single stretch mark have great genetics. My mother was one of those people, she never used any of those creams and never got any stretch marks while there are those who use it throughout their entire pregnancy and end up with stretch marks.
Of course diastasis recti can be fixed with exercise, it takes time however.
Stretch marks, loose skin, sagging beasts (permanent changes to your anatomy) cannot be fixed.
Those are the things that come with the territory of pregnancy.
It’s hard to have a “perfect” body after pregnancy those that do are blessed with great genes (giving praise to the women without surgical enhancement as a cheat).
As for gaining weight and keeping it on, I agree with you it should be something a person should be committed to losing however you must realize the average person doesn’t have a nutritionist, personal trainer, a baby sitter like these celebs do. It takes a average person a while to “snap back” if they do ever.
