I know it wasn't his first choice to get traded to the Astros, but I'm just happy he FINALLY won a world series he deserves and got married too almost the same week. - Kate & Justin had their wedding plans all set well in advance since, up until the last day in August, Justin thought he was going to finish out the year in Detroit with a Tigers club that was well out of contention by then. But THEN he got the call that the Tigers had completed the trade with Houston with minutes to spare & he had to make an important decision: stay in Detroit...or accept a trade out of Detroit for the 1st time in his career. And since their wedding plans were set, that's why there was such a tight schedule between the World Series & their wedding. Unless there were any delays in the World Series they were going to have their wedding as scheduled. Just so happens that Verlander & the Astros wound up marching all the way to their 1st-ever World Series title, after which Justin & Kate had to make a quick turnaround & head to Germany where they could go ahead & tie the knot. Congrats Kate & Justin, All the Best!!
