I don't know how to explain it with the Cyberpunk's slang, but no, Johnny wouldn't die. Think of it as some sort of "fight" to see which personality gets the body...V's body is so invaded by Johnny's personality, that the body sees the original personality as an invader to get rid of, but if that happens, it would not only kill the personality of V, (excuse the redundancy), but also the body. Otherwise, said body is so used to Johnny, that it will receive it without problems.
V died the moment Dex shot them in the head, the biochip brought them back, but, during the time V was healing, the chip did it's work, implanting Johnny into the body. The point of the chip was to transfer the personality into A BODY, live or dead. So, V and Johnny's personalities are basically clashing with each other, before Johnny's inevitably takes over it if nothing is done. V is too far gone already during the events of the game. Of course, depending on your ending, it may be over or not for V, and/or open or over for Johnny.
How can someone be satisfied with this ending? Johnny died, a long time ago, 50+ ago. Let the man go, this isn’t even arguable that V might have a lot less time in this body, it’s that it’s their body to begin with, not Johnny’s. This ending is awful, and while I agree it might not be hopeless, it just doesn’t sit right at all.
Idk. Johnny who had seen life multiple times lives but V who is still in their 20s has to die within the year they return to the Night City because they made one big bad call. It's not really a fair and happy ending to be honest.
Because V lives on through Johnny. And it's better then letting your body just die. At least this way johnny can potentially do something whether it be help people or continue the fight against the corpos
all the endings made me stop playing the game as they all were so damn bad. no point to any DLC your character is DEAD. bad endings all around. the only way i'll return is if alt cyber personal is so devoid of any humanity they only state facts and not the truth. as in yes, V will die in a few months, and yes Johnny was removed from the chip, but didn't mention that upon death the chip would activate where V's engram is and overwrite the damage and resurrect V.
Tomorrow, in a few months, years from now, every living thing eventually dies. Is it really such a bad thing to end a story with the death of your character? Doing all of the side-quests gave me plenty of resource to see character growth in V and Night City. Making it to the end and seeing a moment of Peace after witnessing all of the suffering and struggles is in my opinion a nice book you can hang up on your shelf. In V's line of work, you don't get to see old age. There are several avenues for a DLC such as extended prologues for streetkid, corpo, nomad; more quests & backstories for side characters; maybe more gameplay from johnny and extended endings of the ones V is still alive in, but I wouldn't particularly enjoy extended endings... better to let the imagination run a bit. I'm really just scratching the surface of ideas here. If we end up talking about sequels, it could be a new character in Night City hearing about tales of the Legendary V (your character's looks and whatever decisions imported over). Alt wouldn't really be a super AI if she wasn't able to level herself down and communicate in a way a human would understand if all she did was deliver facts instead of delivering truths and solutions. And if an AI lost their perception of what humanity is, I'm sure the world would end. The AI probably knows humanity is a necessity because there would be no meaning to a world devoid of life and would probably cease to exist itself. A character of 1s and 0s for answers would also be bland and not make for good storytelling. Having only facts and nothing but facts would probably inhibit one's ability to develop meaningful and complex decisions. Now, it's been a while since I've played this game, so if I remember correctly, Alt Did mention at the end of the game that if Johnny were to be removed, V's memories (or a clone of) would overwrite the engram, and vice versa. But the damage is done, the engram is still rejecting V (and the engram is actually the reason V is still alive after getting shot in the head by Dexter) which is why V only has a few months left after Johnny is removed.
I mean V still has a little while to live in some of the endings, a lot can be expanded with blue eyes and the future of arasaka, who knows maybe V can find a way to save her/himself in a future DLC. My favourite was the (Don’t) fear the reaper ending for sure.
What you said is untrue and equally stupid. I got an ending which did point to possible dlc and a way to save V with blue eyes space station heist ending. And saying "state facts and not the Truth"... is probably the most absurd thing ive read today. Well done on that.
I believe this is the best ending, they said that V would disappear and that Johnny would take over, but seeing the ending it is clear that "Johnny Silverhand" does not exist anymore, but a man who, repentant of his sins, will no longer put everything to waste, what was once the guy of drunkenness, revolt, lust and vanity, now gives way to temperance, patience, forgiveness and redemption, even a sucker like Johnny Silverhand is moved by "There is no greater love than this, to lay down your life for your friends". Even with implants, even with body customizations, even with consciousness transfers, even with the hyper advancement of technology Nothing is stronger than the truth, nothing, nothing. And the truth is called "Jesus Christ". "ah but, I didn't see any of that while I was playing!" We were all "Johnny Silverhand" one day, we were all (or still are) angry with everything and everyone, and we think that living obstinately in our desires is the best and right thing to do, but when someone we love dies, we really have the opportunity to see what's really worth it. If a hard-drinking rocker terrorist saw the Truth, so can you. ❤✝️🦾

I'm curious, did Johnny transgendered ? 🤔 Either way V/Johnny gone from hawt to ooooh that's Hawt 😆
Technically no he's not transgender as this V is a natural born woman. Just a man's mind in her body so gender dysphoria at most
Gotta love the lack of wind looking out that window though ;). Just something I noticed lazy on the Dev's part.
Hahaha hair got blew by AC harder than wind
Lazy on the devs part, eh? Did you just sleep through the game or something? Not realistic enough for you? 🤣🤦😂
@@themoonlitquill nah people will just nitpick everything especially since it had such a rocky launch.
Or an oversight because this is the only scene that has V in third person looking out a window of a moving car...
all the endings made me stop playing the game as they all were so damn bad. no point to any DLC your character is DEAD. bad endings all around. the only way i'll return is if alt cyber personal is so devoid of any humanity they only state facts and not the truth. as in yes, V will die in a few months, and yes Johnny was removed from the chip, but didn't mention that upon death the chip would activate where V's engram is and overwrite the damage and resurrect V.
The DLC better have Jackie in it
Or working Cops
I mean V still has a little while to live in some of the endings, a lot can be expanded with blue eyes and the future of arasaka, who knows maybe V can find a way to save her/himself in a future DLC. My favourite was the (Don’t) fear the reaper ending for sure.
What you said is untrue and equally stupid.
I got an ending which did point to possible dlc and a way to save V with blue eyes space station heist ending.
And saying "state facts and not the Truth"... is probably the most absurd thing ive read today. Well done on that.
I never do this. V better then Johhny
Even with implants, even with body customizations, even with consciousness transfers, even with the hyper advancement of technology
Nothing is stronger than the truth, nothing, nothing.
And the truth is called "Jesus Christ".
"ah but, I didn't see any of that while I was playing!"
We were all "Johnny Silverhand" one day, we were all (or still are) angry with everything and everyone, and we think that living obstinately in our desires is the best and right thing to do, but when someone we love dies, we really have the opportunity to see what's really worth it.
If a hard-drinking rocker terrorist saw the Truth, so can you.
