Wen you showed how to install a "NON" red mod yours had a bin file (a matching file ) however the mod I tried downloading had a bin file plus another file that DIDNT match called "RED4ext". Where do i drop a file that doesent match like a RED4text?
@SHADOWGHOST81 You should have a RED4ext folder if you have RED4Ext itself installed. So it will go in the same location as all the other folders from the mod you’ve downloaded. If the rest of the mod has the proper drag and drop file structure, it’s safe to assume all files are correct as is. 😊
Where was this video last night when I needed it… ? literally! I am very new to modding and just PC in general and I am having a lot of issues getting mods to work. I followed the steps in this video and downloaded r19 mod and I think it is working, but other non-redmods I have tried to download aren’t working at all, I think I downloaded them wrong or put them in the wrong place or something. I have all of in the Cyberpunk 2077 “mods” folder but some of the mods are “RAR file”, “7Z file” or “STUB file”. When I download the mods from nexus I click on manual download and then go to my pc files, go to downloads, and drag the file to the mods folder. I’m downloading the mods on Opera GX so I don’t know if that is what is causing the files to appear in downloads as RAR files or 7Z files or if it’s something else. I’m very confused.
This is very helpful, i just wish the Legacy mod demonstration was let there be flight mod, given how many extra requirements has, i tried to install it for hours and didnt worked, it was really frustrating.
I’m so happy this works for you considering the fact that I had to reset my PC and now everything is just screwed up and now I’m Hella pissed just trying to get something to work and never happens if my computer wasn’t so expensive I’d just crack it in half
Thanks so much you have solved my major mod issues!! I have been using Vortex since long before Redmod existed and never had any issues I was completely unaware that the two don't work correctly together. I was having more and more issues with each new update and after the last one it was too much. Thanks to this vid I am now removing all Vortex files and installing everything manually which I have already confirmed fixes my problems :)
What was your process to converting from vortex mods to manual, were you able to use existing downloaded files or had to download mods again? After removing a mod via vortex are there any other leftover files that could cause issues? I’ve been using vortex and it’s been converting some mods to red mods for me and mostly working ok but i just know as I get more mods something will go wrong with vortex and probably best I make the switch to manual soon
I love how easy it is to mod this game, it's just simply brilliant. So many games can be a nightmare to mod with load orders and all that crap, but this - easy as pie.
