they intended for cutscenes to be in third person when they were developing the game but later changed to the first person cutscenes to make it more immersive thats most likely why v has face animations while talking in some scenes.
@@ydkaachillesa9353 that’s what i was thinking theres alot of customization for ur character n u barely see it would’ve been cool if they switched between both first n third so we could see our character more hopefully they do something like that in the second game
First person is NOT more immersive imo idk why they need to decide what more immersive for ME. Not seeing the way my character expresses and reacts to things makes me more detached from them. There’s a reason why people love commander shepherd and Tav in BG3 so much.
Really hope they do some third person stuff in the sequel. I would love to be able to play in third person (I tend to prefer it to first) but I would be cool if it was just for cutscenes and the like.
Cool! Have also heard of third person animation redone mod ? I heard modder trying to make improvements to third person mod experience but overall off course still in WIP.
I did see that. It's pretty new from what I saw (only a few months) but looks like it improves V's proportions and a lot of the basic animations, even in first person. Combat still a bit of a mess though. Could be worth checking out after some more progress is made.
Unfortunately this mod breaks the Radioport function because it hasn't been updated So you can't use the radio unless you're in a vehicle, like pre 2.0
I like to use this mod just to see my character from behind sometimes and during dialogue. Exactly what you said at the end. It makes me feel more connected to the character.
Facial animations and some dialogue animations in Cyberpunk are handled by a complex automatic system similar to what BioWare has, as far as I understand the lip-syncing is automatic. I might be wrong tho.
One thing I realized while watching this video is that we also take our time to look good in real life, but we rarely see ourselves, unless we look in the mirror, we do photomode, or maybe if we die and our soul leave our body. Huh
There are real world consequences to our physical appearance, whether good or bad. I kinda wish the game actually had a system where clothing actually mattered to enhance RP (or optional at least). Like wearing gang clothing lowers detection speed of same gang etc.
I got it from an old flash game called Need For Madness but after looking it up it turns out the games creator remixed that song for the game. Pretty interesting!
@@breadballer I used to listen to this when I was young, and spent my time writing quite bad (to be honest) stories. Now, I'm trying to write a good novel, and Occsan is the name of the protagonist. Hence my reaction.
can you pretty please give me the v you use for most of the video with the white hair? 🙏 also, how does photo mode work while in third person? especially during parts where youre sitting and talking, like the romance hangouts, is the camera still restricted in third person inside of photo mode, does it take you out of third person, or are you able to freely move it?
The hair in this video was sadly delisted by the modder so I can't find it anymore. There are some very similar ones in a mod called "wolfcut hair collection". For photomode it's sadly broken in third person, even with the photo mode unlocker mod. The camera defaults back to first person and the angle tends to lock so it's kind of a crap shoot where it decides to point. I wasn't able to take good photos using photomode, but if you use something like Nvidia Shadowplay you could take photos using that and it would work.
I replied this to someone else but I heard that it badly breaks some of the first person animations, especially during the prescripted scenes. I still like playing in first person so as of right now I don’t think it’s worth the trade off. Hoping it improves in the future though, in which case I’d make an update video for it.
If cdpr did really learn anything is that they should for CP2077 2 or /w.e they end up calling it, we need to have 3rd and 1st from the get go without the need for janky mods. I hate to say it, but even Bethesda understands people like being able to see the char you make.
Just throwing it out there. Mods generally introduce a bit of instability and idk how the game runs for everyone. I didn’t have any major performance issues either but someone with a lower spec’d computer might.
I read that even though it makes some first person animations better as a byproduct, it seems to also break some of them which is why I’ve been holding off on that one. Maybe someday though.
The mod is cool, but it just drives home how rushed this game was. It was-like any other RPG-always meant to be third person. And so I hope they don’t just say with the next game “well the first time it was only 1st person let’s do it again,” because while i adore this game it is sorely lacking third person. That would just add an entirely new dimension to the game.
It still wouldn’t work. To avoid user error console mods require a mod system implementation by the devs, like Skyrim or BG3. There isn’t one for this game, and given that CDPR is ditching RED engine for Unreal 5, I think it’s safe to say consoles will sadly never get mod support for 2077.

One of worst decision regarding this game. Witcher 3- style dialogs would be perfect here.
no they switched to first person cutscenes because they rushed to the launch

I never wanted 3rd person in this game. But more cutscenes that will give you 3rd person angles. I think that would have gone a long way in this game

My next video isn’t a Cyberpunk video but I do have some that I’m working on that will come out after that.

its Jali AI , i once saw my character legit lip sync to lyrics to a song on radio while i was on a bike, crazy stuff
This reminds me of something painful...

I think the gameplay in first person is definitely fun but no third person was certainly a missed opportunity
