- Sky News host Rita Panahi reacts to an American man in a dress chanting “free Palestine” at a rally in Washington DC.
In the video shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Center for Popular Democracy, the man can be seen chanting onstage at the National Mall.
“I do not have to tell our learned viewers what would happen to that man, or any man, in a dress if he walked down any street in Gaza - it would not end well,” Ms Panahi said.
“What these people don’t seem to understand is that the only place in the Middle East where those with alternative lifestyles are protected, where these people have some rights, is Israel.”
Activists were arrested during a sit-in at the United States Congress in Washington where protesters called for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

As an American I am apalled by these people. I remember reading about the Holocaust as a child and thinking how did people let this happen. I see these people protest now and feel like we are back in time. How can we let this happen again?

You nailed it when talking about college degrees and professors today. I went to a small state college and studied finance, accounting and computer programming. Almost all of my professors had real world experience in their fields. The head of the finance department actually ran a small, but very successful mutual fund. My accounting professor was teaching because he signed a do-not-compete clause when he left his job in one of the big eight accounting firms. I took my required English, History, Sciences, Phys Ed and one philosophy class (elective?). No gender studies or such rot. I was taught to learn concepts and then apply those concepts to real problems. My college degree was absolutely worth it. I have no idea what they are teaching in college today, other than ideological crap that has no value. Worse, colleges aren’t even teaching students the abilities to defend these views in a rational debate. And yet college costs much more today. I was married, working full time, cooking and keeping a home and made it through college in five years with one small student loan I used to buy the car i needed to commute the thirty miles to college. Scholardhips and my dad helped with tuition, but tuition was equal to roughly 7 weeks of full time work before taxes. I made $5/hour (almost double minimum wage), but that's because i worked hard and got promotions). Most of today's colleges are an absolute scam. It's insane. The students supporting Palestine apparently haven’t had to learn the actual history of how Israel was created and the number of wars Palenstine has instigated, the number of terroist attacks Palenstine has instigated or the deals that people like Arafat rejected. These students are just taking a side with no clue as to the truth. If this were my kid, I would yank them out of college so fast their head would do a complete 360° like Linda Blair. Unless, of course they were putting themself through college like I did. But somehow, I'm reasonably sure this students are there on Daddy's dime.

Ahhhhh the tolerance of the left, and the peaceful nature of the muslim community. It speaks volumes about what they really are. Actions speak louder than words.
The whole coloniser argument wouldn't be quite so bad if it were true that the Jews had colonised an area called Palestine and that it were an Arab homeland. But the massive narrative problem is that the area was in fact Judea and the Israelite homeland at least 3000 years before the Arabs moved in.
So objectively the argument isn't only simplistic, it's actually historically illiterate and in fact taken to its logical conclusion supports the idea that the area should be decolonised of all Arabs...
Land technically belongs to whoever conquers it as it cannot be walked back. And the land of Israel truly depends on God. If you’ll take not that God spoke to the Kings and prophets and others to give them direction. Now God doesn’t seem to be speaking to any of the leaders in Israel. I’ll tell you why I think that is. One, because they are becoming Sodom and Gomorrah like everywhere else. Also, because they refuse to acknowledge their true Messiah. God does still keep His promises anyway despite all that, but in His timing…. God has allowed the Jews to lose and to be out outside their land… as we know and must humbly remember. I believe the anti-messiah is trying to make his way to the throne and the Jews will accept him as messiah/king. But only God knows for sure what will happen this time. His knows the evils of Hamas as well. So time will tell and all Israel can do right now is keep fighting, but they also truly need to repent of all this Sodom stuff.
Also not very well known is that Jews used to live all over the Middle East. They were systematically removed as well. Egypt used to have a couple hundred thousand, less than a handful today. Arabs/Muslims support the Palestinian cause because they agree with the removal of the Jews.

If you wanted to contradict the professor even if you have the facts and spend your time doing research, they can still give you an "F" for not spouting back to them exactly what they told you to. At the time I had no verbal skills to speak of. I could make excuses, but I just wanted to get my degree and get out of there.
One of my professors had a bias against the word "belief" or "believe". Instead she wanted us to use the word "think." I quoted someone who used the word "belief" In one of my papers, and she marked me off for it as if it were my original words. CRAZY.
This kind of craziness and propaganda and not teaching students to use their brains has permeated the universities for decades.
But it has increased at an alarmingly rapid rate in approximately the last five years.

I have to wonder how my old boss felt… he was probably the most conservative person I knew. I remember seeing his family picture when I worked for him, the older daughter looked okay, but I thought the younger one would be gorgeous when she grew up. A few years ago, my boss passed away after a brief illness (brief in that symptoms did not manifest until it was too late to do anything). I stopped by visitation to pay my respects. The older daughter looked really nice, but she was there with her husband and daughter. The other daughter… a trans male.

I honestly used to sit on the left and truly wanted equality for all. Then I started going more centrist when I realised the left don’t want equality they see their views as superior and believe they should be seen as superior to the rest of us.
