I decided to get Scalp Micropigmentation and it’s helped a bit but only lasts for 3-5 years. I hope by the time it wears off there will be a better alternative procedure that I can do. It’s really hard opening up about these things but I’m glad you did. I’m also planning on making a video about my experience with my procedure.

Have you at least started basic medical therapy first (min + tret + fin/duta + ketoconazole + microneedling...) ? Depending on how soon you get on it, this basic protocol alone could: - stop your hair loss in its tracks (from the anti-androgens and antifungals) - reverse most of the damage (from the growth agonists like minox+tretinoin, microneedling). Some people can only go by with medical therapy. - give you a longer time horizon to consider and improve your more drastic options - At the very worst, strengthen the follicles and microvasculature in your donor and recipient areas so that you need less grafts and minimize the chances of necrosis/overharvesting when/if you eventually decide to go through with a transplant. Besides, you'll need to stay at least on a DHT/5-ar blocker after the surgery anyway.

Did Bosley mention anything about having to customize their procedure for the type of hair you have? I think it is especially relevant for an FUE procedure. What I've read is that if you have very curly hair, such as Africanzed hair, the curliness is not just in the part of the hair that you see above the scalp. The curliness extends below the skin surface, all the way down to the follicle. As a consequence, when removing the hairs, if they want to avoid cutting through a hair below the surface, and damaging it, so that it won't regrow, they have to use a tool that takes a bigger circle of tissue. So the scar circles that develop in the donor area, may perhaps be a bit more noticeable, than the scar circles in someone with hair that is less curly, or is straight. I was just wondering if they said anything about that, before going ahead and doing the procedure. Same question regarding the clinic in Turkey.

Bro I got SMP when it just started becoming popular and that shit was $4000. This was about 7 years ago and it’s already started to fade a bit. It still visible, but they crafted a hairline that didn’t exist before and I loved the look. Now if I ever decide to get a HT, they’re gonna have to follow that line. Have you tried smp to cover the scar?

Hair loss is extremely anxiety inducing. I can only imagine the anxiety you go through because of your hair journey. People can say shave or go bald all they want but to some hair is their identity. My mom has alopecia and every few years she will shed and it’s really hard on her. I hope your hair grows nice and thick but most importantly I pray / wish for peace and tranquility in your soul because that’s what this journey is about. Also think about taking anti anxiety meds if you suffer from that. Once I started that treatment my hair came back much stronger. Turns out I had a pretty high level of anxiety due to finishing school and I practically went bald lol once i got that under control i was able to sleep and eat better and my hair came back! You’ll want to know the secret. Zinc and fasting and drinking water only. Taking care of insulin resistance is key. I was losing my hair at a fast rate. I ran into a Dr Berg video talking about testosterone and zinc helps balance those levels out. It has worked wonders. Also Amazon has a great hair product called biotin don’t waste your money on expensive ones. Also don’t wait until all your hair is already fallen out. It has made my hair thinker at the age 37. Diet is key. Best of luck.
