I would say most of her big heads are balance, but she has had a lot of years as well as songs in her albums that are up-tempo and fun to dance to. She is a versatile artist who has done many genres each one at least once in her life.

I saw her perform live at the Juno Awards (Canadian version of the Grammy's). She was absolute perfection. Few artists are better in person than they are in their recorded tracks, but she was one of those few xo.

Céline Dion is one of, if not THE best female vocalist in the world! She is from a small town in Quebec named Charlemagne, and is the youngest of a family of 14 children! She released her first album at the age of 13 ! She's now close to 28 studio albums and live recordings, and if you really want to hear the full spectrum of her vocal range, I would strongly recommend that you listen to "The Prayer" with Andrea Bocelli,, "It's all coming back to me now", "All by myself" and one of my favorite, a French song called "Ziggy" written by another amazing Quebec composer named Luc Plamondon, who created the rock opera Starmania! Just like with Pentatonix, you're tumbling down a rabbit hole with the Great Céline Dion! (And because you asked the question, her last name is pronounced Dion, " dee -ohhn" the opposite of , let's say Dionne you just drop the last "ne")
I think you would absolutely love her song "It's All Coming Back To Me Now", "Power of Love", her version of "O Holy Night" is phenomenal, as well as "Nature Boy", but also her performance of "Hymne A L'Amour" makes me cry, and is especially poignant hearing her in her native language, and for her dedication to the City of Paris. I am thankful that I was introduced to her music when I was younger, and I will always have a soft spot and be blown away by her.

Something to note, this song, Because You Loved Me, was on the soundtrack to the movie Up Close and Personal with Robert Redford and Michelle Pfeifer. Great movie to watch if you haven’t seen it.

I’ve seen Celine performing live twice and she is phenomenal. Her original singing in French was always so beautiful, but she has always been more popular in English Canada than in Quebec. Her powerhouse is genuinely amazing and really great performer on stage.
She is extremely popular in her native province of Québec... I believe in recent years she produced more English material than French one which might, currently, make her slightly less popular than when she produces French material (not everyone in Canada is bilingual and that definitely includes her native province of Québec where there are more French speakers than English ones...

I am also bilingual and have had opportunity to speak with many people - both francophone and anglophone - and it was horrible how many francophones spoke negatively about Céline in the 90s at least. There was the very negative belief that Céline had betrayed her French roots by choosing to sing in English. The language divide in Canada has always been a very inflammatory subject for both sides, but especially in Québec, where we even had a referendum in the 90s to “choose” whether Québec would separate or not from the rest of Canada. I lived in Québec at that time and know firsthand how bad it was. If things have improved in recent years, I’m happy to hear it. Céline is a national treasure for Canada and should be appreciated by her home province, I’m just stating the fact is that there was at least a period when French-Canadians did not appreciate her as much as they should have. Again, happy if that has improved since Céline has brought a lot of attention to Québec and Canada over the years. Cheers.

I was probably lucky but I have never heard anyone complain about Céline singing in English and most of the people I speak to are francophones... As for the language divide, both sides did things that worsened it but it seemed to have gotten better in recent years... The 1995 referendum was actually the second one, the first one was in 1980 to get a mandate to negotiate sovereignty-association... Have a nice day!

I have been honoured to see Celine Dion live, she was meant to do Manchester arena but then there was Manchester attack...so she came to Leeds where i live. Be very rare she come here. So I went and saw her thanks to my husband getting me tickets. Celine is a legend and can just sing like that live too and even without music...she even does random songs live like when I went to see her she sung black or white by Michael Jackson. She is french from Montreal and they absolutely adore her there. I'm french Canadian also and Dion is pronounced Dion with "o.n" to the english, and some french speaking people will pronounce Dion with a very soft "n ".

"Dion" is pronounced the second way you pronounced it (ie not the English way where you hear the "N")... It is a French last name (she is French Canadian), "on" is not pronounced the same way it would be pronounced in English (or many other languages I believe). You would hear the "N" sound if it was at the start of a word but not after a vowel like this...
Legend. Celine is from Canada. I've always heard her name pronounced as Dee-on. It will take you years to react to all of Celine's work. I saw her on James Corden's carpool karaoke. I hope you will check that out along with the many stars who have done it also. Celine has gotten a little "eccentric" as she's has aged. Funny lady for sure and down to earth.
