@@sillau9 I can definitely hear Toni sing a more R&B version of BYLM. Like in the style of Breathe Again, they even end the songs similarly. I think UMH is already so sappy and dramatic, that Celine on it would be overkill for me. She'd sound amazing as usual, but I wouldn't want to listen to it like that. Toni at least gave the song an interesting unique sultry breathy vocal. I stan them both and listen to them regularly tho, the singers and the songs.
Diane Warren was the songwriter, she was on fire during this time. She wrote Aaliyah - the One I gave my heart to, Brandy - Have you ever, Monica - For you I will, Leanne rimes - How Do I live, and toni Braxton - unbreak my heart

I was glad when Diane got an honorary Oscar this year; she had lost in the Best Song category 14x. The thing is that her movie tunes aren’t as good or as catchy as her big hits.
My favorite song by her. She sung this at the World Music Awards back in 96, and MJ was there, and he was mesmerized by her performance. I remember her saying she got into singing after she saw him do Man In The Mirror at the Grammys. What a impact he had on the music world. Celine is in my top five singers of all time

"Because You Loved Me" is the first single from Celine's fourth English-language album, Falling into You (1996); it received critical acclaim and became a worldwide hit, reaching #1 in the US, Canada, and Australia, as well as the top ten in many other countries. BYLM won the Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media, but was also nominated in 3 other categories. I can always count on Celine for some lovey dovey if I'm feeling it at whatever moment. One of my favourite duets ever is her song "When I Fall in Love (with Clive Griffin)" for the Sleepless in Seattle soundtrack. Their voices together are fucking amazing!!!
If I were to listen to only one song from Celine Dion entire catalogue for the rest of my life, this would be that song! The lyrics alone are perfection, match by the beauty of her voice.
What a beautiful song request, Alex Simmons. There is just something about Celine's voice that when she sings ballads, especially during her live shows, gets me teary-eyed.
The beauty of this song, my God💓. This is one of my favorite songs from her, ever. I believe she won a Grammy for this album "Falling into you" which this song is from. "Up close and personal" stars Robert Redford & Michelle Pfeiffer. I've never seen the movie from start to finish, but I bet it's delightful. Because you can't go wrong with those two actors.🏆 Btw, there's a clip of Celine performing this at the WMA 1996, with MJ sitting in the audience, cutely admiring her.👏
I saw the movie in the theater and I remember laughing with a friend that Redford was old enough to be Pfeiffer’s dad (he was 60; she was 38, at the time). 😂 Don’t mind me. ☺️
I was gonna say Celine is one of thise artists who has a different signature song depending on where you go in the world. Shes so international. Her over all would be My Heart Will Go On but if you go to the UK, then its Think Twice, if you go to Japan then its To Love You More, Philippines is I Love You Goodbye…
It also appeared on her album falling into you (1996) which also features hit singles All coming back to me and her cover of all by myself I think she won an academy for best song for a movie soundtrack I don't remember but I might be wrong can someone correct me in the comments
My top favourite Celine songs are To Love You More and I Surrender. Send chills through your bones power ballads. But just an FYI - she DOES have a different side to her. Unison is from her first album - and is very uptempo and danceable. Even has a little rap in it. And Treat Her Like a Lady - is an amazing girl power song. ALL well worth a listen. Cheers from Canada! :)
The only instance where a song has ever made me buy or check something out was when this random kpop song came on when i was listening to slacker radio back in the day. Turned out to be a song from an OST for My Love From The Star and i was so intrigued by the video for it once i tracked it down on youtube i bought the series right then and there. Have not regretted it once.
What i think is the class of singers you just mentioned i would classify them as proper singers not ballad singers.. ithink celine is one of the most versatile singers ever.. you should react to a youtube cljp called celine can sing anything to see her diversity she has also recorded in 9 languages
You can Diane Warren and David Foster for collaborating with Celine Dion in making a great love song downtempo ballad here. Its a definite classic and so reminiscent of the 90s era!
Love love love Toni. She would have been awesome on this but i love how smooth Celine sounds on this track. From that 1st line… super smooth. She would have sounded great on unbreak my heart as well but that works so well for Toni too. Apparently Celine rejected Unbreak my heart and Toni dos the same for Because you loved me. I cant believe Celine rejected Unbreak my heart!! But i feel like she deffo picked because you loved me for the messaging. Its very her life with Rene.
This is probably my second favorite Celine Dion song after Power of Love. I recommend Lara Fabian - allegedly sabotaged in the US by Celine’s people due to similarities, with perhaps slightly more resonance.

The Lord blessed Celine with the voice of an Angel. She can sing anything.
Diane Warren originally wrote this for Toni Braxton and originally wrote Toni's "Unbreak my heart" for Celine but they ended up trading songs.
Idk if I would've liked Celine doing UMH. I can see Toni doing BYLM tho.
You stole what I was gonna say lol
I didn't know that. I like interesting facts like this. However, I do agree Toni would sound great singing both.
@@lookhowshegobbledthatI disagree

Celine Dion is not my usual lane but without question this is a great song (and vocal perf). 🇨🇦✌🏽
Celine Dion's version of "My Way" originally sung by Frank Sinatra I believe xoxo
Have you reacted to Beauty and the Beast Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson? That version does not get enough love and it definitely gives goosebumps.
