Fun Fact about your Next Of Kin responsibilities: 1. If you become incapacitated without a Will or health care directive, medical decisions will typically fall into the hands of the Next of Kin. 2. Next of Kin is responsible for distributing your assets. They will typically be named the Administrator if there is no contest over who to place in charge within the family. 3. They make funeral arrangements. Hopefully, this person has an idea of what their relative wanted (burial, cremation, etc.) and can follow their wishes accordingly. What did you consider when choosing your Next Of Kin? We can't wait to hear your view in the comment section! Come through to Golden Tulip for HAPPY HOUR and BBQ tonight from 6 pm to 10 pm with the fabulous Inhouse Band. #HappyFriday #NewEpisode #BumpLove
I don't know why you are surprised that Hakimi did what he did. Do some more reading on the relationship betweeen children and mothers in the Arab world or in Islam. "Who next your mother, who next your mother, who next your mother................"
My next of kin has always been my wife. I am her next of kin too. I make it a point to ensure that both of us are included on documentation of every asset/investment.
Love that you're here Onana. I truly love Bump Love mostly because in sharing knowledge, I'm also constantly learning. Generally...we are in this together. P
After seeing what is happening at Hon.Kato Lubwama's vigil. I came back here to appreciate Ms.Nabacwa for what she mentioned About having a person who puts emotions aside and execute the will. Apparently Hon. Nsereko is doing a great Job Thanks for always sharing wisdom
Angie, I love how you introduced this episode& how you closed it off. Thank you ladies. This found me at a time when I'm reflecting on when to start writing a will, but I kept getting cold feet. This show has made it easy to start. I've added it on my 2023 goals.
And yet another educative episode. I keep telling people having a degree is not enough. You have to keep evolving, youtube has made it easy for us, now with a show like bump love ❤️ Ladies, may God keep giving you wisdom. So you can come and bless us with it too😅
I once told a mature lady that I actually want to open an account were I save money for only problems. She said to me" never do it, that way, your only inviting endless problems in your life" Thank you for this ladies. I and my girlfriend thought about it today that how about you invite a few of us that are big fans of the show to be watching you (ladies) live while discussing these topics please!!!
😂😂😂😂😂 what a funny response. That account is called an emergency account. But that woman, that your inviting problems. Everyone needs that account. Now, what if your washing machine breaks what do you do?
@Kirunda Zuena I bet you Flourish lives in Noth America. They use that language of if your washing machine breaks, or your vehicle needs new tires. It's why people have emergency accounts for such emergencies. Also, take it as a blessing. She has assumed you already have it.😊
As a Christian woman, i love Manuela's point of view. That is the right way to feel before getting married. And because we don't feel that way, the divorce rate in church is now very high.
The yellow💛💛💛💛 I love it. Manuela didn’t get the memo😂 Meanwhile Rosette you’re giving rich auntie vibes I love your dress😊 Thanks for the show ladies ❤❤❤❤
For Manuela (hi OG!!!! 🙂) and those in similar boat of "calling on your vows," while you may not be leaving 100% to your beneficiary - unless of course, the asset is fully owned by you, the above ensures that "your share" goes to the right beneficiaries and you can sleep easy i.e., (1) in the event of death, your SO's new partner can only influence his share but yours is squarely in your beneficiaries' inheritance, (2) in the event of disagreement/dissolution of marriage for the living, division of physical and financial assets is simplified. It's a tough convo to have but when you are getting into joint ownership with a partner, have these conversations and ratify them with a partnership agreement (e.g., let's do 50-50 for love or I bring 25m and you bring 75m so ownership is 25-75). Love does not have to be completely blind 🙂
This needs a part 2 with preferably an estate planning lawyer present, very beneficial discussion Part 2 can possibly address what to do when beneficiaries have spouses and suddenly they want their share of the ‘mall’ so they can go to the abroad for example
This episode really took me to a new school and it's very timely because my mum's vigil is in 2months from now and her will is about to be read.Thank you so much ladies and the entire bumplove team
Bumplove! Bumplove! You ladies are amazing, the knowledge that flows here is unmatched. See how i thought next of kin is anyone i want, hmmmm. Let the change start. The shock about spouses is real, i recently was doing something with mine and we both were asked for individual next if kin. Guesss my shock when he rushed to call his cousin for her details while i provided funds for the process. Maybe its something about trust, its well. Let's look out for ourselves and be better as my mother's child Pumla says.❤
Thank you ladies. This session was so worth my data. I don't regret one bit. I love the honesty from Manuela ahaaa....remember to send FIRE too to accompany the signature. Great points about the will and am embarking on making amendments to mine yesterday.
Ooh wow.. Bless you Ladies I appreciate you ❤..Hey Pumla you’re such a Goal🥰.. When my Mommy died she left all her properties in our names( me & my 2 siblings) Surprisingly my dad knew about it 😂 thou he was doubting it till the will was read and am glad he didn’t give us hard time he accepted it and moved on..
Sometimes it's hard to translate each and every word and expression 😭some words only make sense in the local language and the meaning is lost in translation.

Thanks ladies I was listening to you pipo with my elder sis who was really struggling with the same thing but thanks to you she made the ryt decision basing on the talk🙏
How about sitting as a couple and discussing these fears you both have. Then choose to put both your properties in Ur children’s names. And then name each as the executors or managers or support behind the kids and the assets. Both of you have to communicate the fear of the possible future spouse. Maintain the trust and love for each other.
