    • @Spinkly
      @Spinkly 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@nairobinyeusi5811 we are basically saying the same thing. Kisumu has done well for itself considering it hasn’t had any support over the years and has been marginalized compared to other towns with sitting presidents that you’d expect would be world class by now. Also we thank God for devolution.

    • @nairobinyeusi5811
      @nairobinyeusi5811 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Spinkly True but compared to other regions in Kenya one can say Kisumu hasn't been marginalized in any way, that was just a propaganda narrative. In fact one would think Kisumu has been favoured by the government, or is it it's leaders who tend to be smarter. The city is full of Flyovers, dual carriages, interchanges and infrastructure that can only be found in capital cities of other countries. If Kisumu has been marginalised then Nyeri, Eldoret & Kiambu should be looking like Dubai right now. But they all look like dilapidated colonial Villages.

    Even after all those years in the opposition and being marginilized by Tribal Kikuyu nd Kalenjin govts, the Luos of Kisumu have really tried..we have others with 3 Presidents and their towns and any other space they occupy look like trash,endless hawkers,cat meat samosa peddlers,rotten mitura polluting the air,sewege,taka taka nd literring all over,endless old worn out matatus and peeing in public. i was in kinoo just the other day and became sick. @nairobinyeusi5811 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Having a President didn't buy them brains and Civility, they can even have 1000 presidents but end up nowhere. For a people to be Tribalist it means most of them have very low IQ and this applies in everything they do. That's why when they are told we should drop Mitumba and start manufacturing quality clothes locally they cry as if they produce the Mitumba yet these are garbage clothes from Europe & America dumped into Africa. They want Africans to wear garbage & think it's a good thing. Everything they do is just garbage. I like Kisumu people because they have a spirit of team work and learning. They listen to what their leaders say and act on it. If Nyong'o says all vibandas should be brought down for new stalls the poeple take it as their collective duty. They should maintain that spirit and never allow these other crooks creep in this City and ruin everything. These are poeple who can even grab hospital land.

    Kisumu looks amazing without the matatus and bodas. However I'm not a fan of the white and blue. It stifles artistic creativity. I think they should give a broader color option. Nairobi and Nakuru win there though Kisumu wins on cleanliness.

    • @drewg6200
      @drewg6200 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You should search for Mykonos, Santorini or Cyclades island in Greece which all also adapts the blue and white theme. You'll understand what Kisumu is going for.

      @daniells71 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@drewg6200 I don't need to, I was eating malakas in Santorini in summer of 2017 lol. It is nowhere near the same. The color scheme there goes well with the light brown earth. It looks majestic IN THAT SETTING. You research Mombasa and see how ugly it looks compared to before. Decisions like these should be made by qualified designers; people who understand color interaction on a color wheel.

      @@daniells71 nice one! I'd love to visit there someday soon but I'll visit Kisumu first. We all have our opinion but I personally appreciate the positive steps that Kisumu has taken. Rome was not built in a day, so you shouldn't expect Kisumu to be already at the same level. Give it a few more years of good leadership

    • @daniells71
      @daniells71 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@drewg6200 Kisumu has come a long way quickly and for that I'm grateful, but sorry the blue is a no no. See my thing is I live in one of the wealthiest cities in the world, but Uhuru Gardens' design and build by KDF surpasses most similar places here by far. To me that says that we have the capability to be the best or get pretty close to it. Let's keep up the same spirit and let experts do their job. I'm pretty sure the county could have contracted a local design school graduate to create a color scheme, that would make Santorini look like ushago ya Kisumu.
