I Just Turn The Can Upside Down In A Mixing Cup With A Rag Around The Top To Catch The Fumes. Then Just Push Down!!! The Straw Is At The Top Now And The Paint Can't Be Pushed Out Just The Pressure!!! I just poke it with a razor knife with a new blade, let it gas off , and for 3 days I opened up the jars and bearly stirred it with a wooden spoon and the bubbles kept coming, so like 5 or 6 times of gassing off with a small wooden soup spoon and I'm still careful every time I open the jars ,
John👍that was great👍i love the valve system 👍and your controlled release was bloody funny🤣. Thanks for posting and best wishes from jolly old England 👍😎Pete 🤓
@@moparnut6286 it was brilliant 👍🤣. I think the sensible, safety bits were good too. I think it's a good video for anybody attempting this and takes away some of the fear of trying 👍👍😎
That valve thingy is an awesome idear. I use an awl the same way to decant my paint. The only thing i do different is I cover the little hole with tape and my thumb and shake the can to mix the paint before I pour it out.
Yeah me too David .. I use paper cups and my airbrush for faster color changes.. But I have lots of spray cans that get to 1/4 of a can and quit working or I just want some paint ready to spray out of my spraygun the precise control of application of a spraygun/air brush just can't be beat by a spray can I've been spoiled! 😁👍
You can shake the can and it will all come out mixed together... The valve I use makes it a controlled release... But a setteled can easy better cause you can remove all the propellant and the get the paint and store it.. But you do have to give the paint time to gas out the left over propellant so it does not build pressure on storage.
LOL I implied that's smoking is not a good idea while decanting.... But it's like those people who sued the gas can company into bankruptcy by check their gas cans with a lighter or a match there's always one!!!😁
As you saw not much drama if you screw it up! And yes I save the marbles and steel balls out of the cans they work great in the bottles for mixing. Thanks for watching.
Thanks tough guy, i will definitely do this,
Cool I hope you get to save as much material as you can.
Thank you for the video, very informative and entertaining as well ; ) I will be making this device awesome idea : )
Glad you liked it!
You can vacum seal the mason jars to make them last lomger.
Great idea!

Yep gassing off can take a long time.. Slow top opening is best practice.

Nice tutorial John, I usually spray a little I need for touch ups into a Testors glass paint bottle.

Good tips
Thanks... hope it saves you some paint in the future.
Are not you only getting part of pigment or whatever is settled on the bottom? If not why do you shake for a couple or two?
Before using

Put A balloon on the top like you do cheap wine
The only thing I would add is (NO SMOKING ) If I missed that I'm sorry. Nice job 🐭👍

Looks like fun as long as it doesn't spray you. Do you collect all the marbles out the cans?
As you saw not much drama if you screw it up! And yes I save the marbles and steel balls out of the cans they work great in the bottles for mixing. Thanks for watching.
Pretty nifty!
Thanks man!.. save money save that paint!
