Yes!! North Dome is such an amazing spot. Easier to hike down to it from hwy 120 but I love going up the Yosemite Falls trail and feeling the pain. Don't forget, you'll need reservations for park entry in July.
Magnificent route, it's nice to be able to follow you in exploring such beautiful and unique places, I love the view at minute 16 and what you see... doing 16 Mile barefoot on this terrain is a great strength, great respect for it. ..😊👏💪👍
It was an amazing and challenging hike! I only did just under 5 miles barefoot, the rest I did in my flip-flops so I could get down before sunset. Thanks for checking it out!
Did this one April 2022... took me 14 hours and 40 minutes. Started before sunrise, and ended wayyyyyyyy past sunset. Headlamp finish from way up there. And, I did not do barefoot. A fantastic, fantastic hike. North Dome views of Half Dome are hot. You rock!
Great hike! Thanks for taking us along. I've never made it to North Dome - I think it's going to be on my list this summer. Up Yos Falls and down Snow Creek, I think.
Thanks for watching! North Dome is an amazing spot. Definitely a big day hike doing that whole loop. I'm excited for you! Can't wait for this summer! Oh yeah, and don't forget about the reservation system they have going for entry into the park.
Super views and some badass barefooting ! Wish you had a few peppers to warm you up and fortify those leg muscles. Need to do some research on those unusual rock formations unless the aliens dropped them up there. Any comments on your trail wear ? As always great adventure and thanks for editing so quick and sharing !
Peppers would have definitely helped to keep me warm! 😊 I changed my breathable underlayers at the top to stay dry. I wear light shells over types of thermals until it got to cold and I had to break out my light down jacket. I try to stay away from cottons underneath because they get soaked. Thanks for watching and it's always good to hear from you!
Thanks for watching! It’s something I’ve been doing for 10+ years now. I love the way the ground feels on my feet. And I love the extra challenge it gives me. It’s also a sort of emotional outlet in a weird way. :)
The main reason is the extra challenge it affords as part of my hiking meditation, but there are other cited benefits. I appreciate you checking out my videos 😊
The moon illusion is always a trip. Spectacular views!
3:20 as a landscape photographer I take notes from your videos - great source of inspiration for places to visit. Daniel Chui
That's awesome!
@@theyosemiteguydwow can’t believe you got up there in 4 hours !! If I could get up there in twice that time I’d be happy
You should! 6-8 hours is resonable it's a tough one 😊
Great video! Got 2 trips booked for Yosemite this summer- May&July. North dome is highest on the list! Moved out of California and missing Yosemite!!

Thanks! I appreciate that! It's definitely one of the harder "day" hikes from the valley. It's an unforgettable experience, however long it takes!
Such a great place to explore. Enjoyed watching your awesome video bud! Great filming!
It was! Thank you!

Another epic one!
One of my favorite places to admire half dome from! :) thanks for watching:)
Thank you.
Great video. Love the views. What motivates the barefoot hiking?
Thanks for watching! It’s something I’ve been doing for 10+ years now. I love the way the ground feels on my feet. And I love the extra challenge it gives me. It’s also a sort of emotional outlet in a weird way. :)
I’m a simple man - I see a new video from you and I click ! I’m curious to learn more about why you like doing these bare feet ?
The main reason is the extra challenge it affords as part of my hiking meditation, but there are other cited benefits. I appreciate you checking out my videos 😊
Great video! What time of the year did you hike?
Thanks for watching! 😄 This one was the end of November last year. I had to double check the date cause it seems really late in the year to do that.
Why the barefoot deal?
It's something I really like!😊
Nice to see you going barefoot
