@@Sheriden. A religion is a specific set of beliefs and practices, the Church goes far beyond that. Virtually all the people who shaped the world we live in today were/are Christians and Jews, all with different ideas, aspirations, political views, etc. Studying our history of Science, Medicine, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Business, Economics, Politics, etc gives a very broad picture to a "religion" that it often painted as very narrow viewpoint. I have always lived with music anhedonia (age 47). I'm incapable of enjoying or having any type of emotional reactions to music. My brain just hears music as another noise. I've never understood how people can "feel" music, until I watched this video. Something about this choir, singing this song, in this location, gave me an emotional response for the first time ever in my life. I got goosebumps at 1:09, and even had a few tears a few moments later. That was amazing. Because of this reaction, I quickly searched for other versions of this song and ended up with my typical response. I hear it, but I don't feel it. I even watched other videos of this choir performing different songs and had no reactions of any kind. Something about this specific performance is able to bring emotion out from within me when no other music before, or since, has managed to do so. I am utterly stunned. Thank you so much for this.
Could you imagine a hour 10 drive just to get to your hotel and settle in then suddenly you here voices coming from outside then you walk outside to what looks like a scary secret meeting then youre hit with a sudden and amazing performance by some choir you went to see the next day?

The Body of Christ is not a religion.
@@philc5499 how is that not a religious thing?
Post modern atheists regard the Church as archaic, backwards, ignorant, etc, while failing to realize all the accomplishments of Western Civilization on which Judeo-Christian principals are built, and how said principals still affect society to this day.
@@philc5499 Do you realize how much religion has held back all of that stuff through out history? There was a time where religions, the same ones that are around today, persecuted scientists and anyone who held an opinion contrary to the church. Your argument is ridiculous.
@@lakaiskates8064 You literally just recited the popular albeit false narrative. I'm sure you refer to, at least in part, the Christian Galileo. While politicians of the day (trying to maintain their power) tried to limit his voice and teachings, he did some of his finest work while under house arrest. Not condoning the actions of the state at the time, but certainly not the persecution story that we are constantly spoon fed via mass media. He also had many supporters, including Maffeo Barberini aka Pope Urban VIII.

You and me both... I was part of the Institute choir under Marshall McDonald for several concerts on temple square. We did his arrangement of Hark Listen to the Trumpeters in the Assembly Hall, Tabernacle, and Joseph Smith Memorial building. I will *never* forget the harmonics floating over the men in the beginning. I knew in my head it was simply the acoustics, but my heart swore the angels sang with us whenever we were in those venues. My only regret is we never got any recordings of any of our performances.

I think i would go sober from here on out.

The most beautiful. It’s unreal. But the most amazing thing is that it is real. Thank God

Not a religious person, but I imagine that this is what heaven would be like. Everyone is just a silhouette, no race or color, because it doesn't matter. There is beautiful music being sang by amazing voices. There is you another silhouette among the many. Standing there in absolutely awe as you begin to feel a sense comfort and safety that you have never felt before. You feel as if you could do anything you wanted to do, but whenever you want to do it. Because you're not being held to any type of standard or expectation. Or having to get things done in any type of time frame because time doesn't exist. Its a freeing feeling that reminds you of being a kid again.
When we are transfigured, there will be no race, caste, sex, creed. Just souls bound to heaven and sing. No more sadness, no more sorrows.

Bro how are.you?
Jesus loves you. You may have accomplished less than you hoped for in this life, but the only real thing that matters is if your soul will make it to heaven or be damned to hell.
