@@TheQwixilverBandit I like Andrew but his science references come across as more psy pop culture. There is a lot more to unpack with the split brain experiments. Iain McGilchrist explains that the corpus callosum actually inhibits information between the two hemispheres, not freely passing information except when calm and undistracted, a state where whole brain sharing and thus critical analysis (with emotion and logic) of recent decisions and experiences can be broken down and reviewed.

I'm not afraid to express any of my opinions around my peers, not because all of my peers have the same opinions as me, they don't. It's because I know I can have an open discussion with my friends. If you're afraid to express any opinion that's not the same as your friends then that's the real issue.
I don't have any opinions I'm afraid to express in front of my friends. Note that a lack of fear doesn't mean that I feel compelled to say every single thing that springs into my head, Just because it's not built out of fear doesn't mean I don't have a filter. I have beliefs I don't feel the need to tell my friends at every possible opportunity, because we both already know we disagree, but I don't associate with people who aren't ok with knowing that we don't agree a subject. I can count my friends on my hands sure, but I like quality over quantity. Someone who is only my 'friend' if I agree with them isn't a friend as I would define it.
Believe me the brainwashing of movies and media in general is more then just hijacking. Do your research, just on youtube you'll find how we are being manipulated with subliminal messages.
Great video. I guess another question to consider is which path leads to more happiness: living in ignorance to the illusion of life or shattering societal beliefs to reality of life? I argue it is the former even though I would definitely not choose that path.
overall amazing video, though the phrase "to see the world how it actually is" is dangerous in and of itself. we can never possibly see the world how it actually is as there is no way to bypass interpretation. perception itself is subjective. therefore, we should do our best to think in probabilities rather than facts.
Agreed with 99% of your video, apart from the point on conspiracies where you throw people under the bus who are constantly questioning and going against society as well as the mainstreams narrative
I am NOT hesitant to tell someone my beliefs, but for a different reason. I have come to accept people who disagree with me, if they wish to shun me for speaking my mind they show how uncivil the are. Anyone who is willing to listen to someone else's beliefs while not letting their own cloud their judgment are the ones who are truly civilized. I don't wish to affiliate with anyone who doesn't listen and acts like a child. If I end up dying alone because of it, let it be done. You don't have to agree with someone to get along with them.

*Sometimes it’s hard to distinguish what is right and wrong because of the information we get...* 🙏
I’m a conservative but I’m scared to tell my friends because they are going to accuse me of being “racist/stupid” etc.
Pussy
L
Who cares anyway, if they are ironically so close minded, they shouldn't hold that "title"
it's probably not a good idea put yourself in labeled category like that in the first place.
being "conservative" can mean very different things to different people, and one word cannot possibly accurately describe the complex net of your believes, let alone those of multiple people.
it makes much more sense to talk about specific issues with your friends rather than to fight over whatever you happen to associate with a label.
Yeah they are
You can have your own original toughts but never ever tell it to anyone else.
Especially, dont ever tell anyone that there is no virus
Boy was this video well though out ! I don't usually get to admire people's intellect, but in this video you nailed it
I am so blessed to belong to a peer group that not only allows me to have my own thoughts, opinions, and beliefs, but that encourages conversations around these paradigms. We can agree to disagree, learn from each other, and grow in ways that would be impossible if we were all Stepford wives.
This channel is criminally underrated
I think this is a topic a lot of people wanna talk about but don't
glad there's places like this to change that!
I don't think that it's necessarily wrong to go with the crowd. It's only wrong when you do it mindlessly or even worse when you do have a different perspective and you choose to censor it.
It's also not good if you don't have an open mind.
When you get to the point when you can on your on evaluate what makes most sense to you, then you can go along, or not as is most appropriate.
@@SantanaBanana47 Having an open mind is the most important step!
@@Scottlp2 I agree. It's a gradual process to get there. But it's worth it!
Btw: would love an audiobook or podcast. Your voice is 🙏 love from Germany.
Germany too
Andrew Kirby, you are blessed with common sense. I appreciate your videos. Thank you, brother.
Probably your best video. I reflected SO MUCH on these subjects, we're heroes Andrew.
I thought having thoughts that I'm hesitant to express would be bad. Lol
Welcome to 2020.
At first I was confused and said yes, thinking he’d say it’s bad, but my heart snapped back when he said instead conforming was bad.
Well, the fact that they’re different from others’ thoughts is good, but the fact that you’re hesitant to express them isn’t.
@@UnknownCartoonEditor Well, being hesitant to express your thoughts when they differ from your friends' opinions, is also a form of conformity. You're not sharing your views because you fear that you will not be accepted by others.
No way, imagine being a person who only believes stuff that's uncontroversial and mainstream. That's like full-on NPC mode.
Great and bold video. Wake people up.
3rd point was the absolute best... peoplewant to be proven right .. they fight and argue not because they want to prove something or to learn or change someone's mind... they just want to be right
I thought me saying no means not hesitating to speak the truth around my peers lol, but the question is whether I have differing beliefs or not, so that's a yes.
People have to be respected, not ideas
Think for yourself, or others will think for you without thinking of you.

You just keep getting more and more expressive, expansive and creative. I loved this thanks.
brilliant , on dot, you have shaken at least one belief system of a person, you are our galileo ,please devote time on the intriguing mind that sets us in a journey of fear and loss of self confidence
thank you

the quality of Andrews videos is so incredible!!
Love how you start your videos. This societal thing is actually part of my premise for a thriller I'm writing... If only my characters watched your video instead of believing someone would sponsor their dreams and potential 'for free'
It’s like when Killua took out the needle in his head that gives him fear
It will😔
takes 6 minutes but he really gets a point accross, im totally on the same page about this bro
😭Iam very much encouraged after watching this video....thank u so much
I have been questioning Covid-19, its effects and the restrictions. Many people around me have shut me down. They didn't want to listen to me but most of them now can see the truth
I’ve expressed my opinions to my friends.
*I now have no friends.*
tell your opinions in the right context, saying opinions for validations or putting down others is only gonna get you to lose respect
or else, those were just doo doo friends
Yoo the production value in this video is off the chart! Also the information is amazingly true and useful, as always!
Such a well put video !! Ive been hesitant to speak up & go against the grain. Go within myself, & my own beliefs. Once I finally did it, It greatly impacted my life. GREAT Video honestly.
I literally took notes lmao.
People don't have ideas. Ideas have people. - Carl Jung
This is beyond thought provoking
"If you seek Truth, you will not seek to gain a victory by every possible means; and when you have found Truth, you need not fear being defeated" --- Epictetus
"If someone can prove me wrong and show me my mistake in any thought or action, I shall gladly change. I seek the truth, which never harmed anyone: the harm is to persist in one's own self-deception and ignorance" --- Marcus Aurelius
I think this is truer than ever with everything that’s going on at the moment
I’m not afraid of talking to my peers but we still have different opinions
Excellent video that's very applicable today.
Rule is simple, question everything, build from there.
you're great bro! going through some crazy times, keep it up, and thanks!!
I spend so much time thinking about stuff like this glad I'm not the only one!!
Beliefs are the basis for societal reality, truth is the base for universal reality.
You put in so much effort why doesn't this video have more views?
Bro Kirby u should defenetly consider two things, 1) I think u would make an awesome phsycologist/ teraphist u could def if u get a rush of entrepreneurship start ur online therapy company and start growing it with ur yt, the sky is the limit and 2) You could easly make a second channel where you do affirmations or guided meditation videos, ur voice is really deep and I think u could reach masses in those type of vids a deep voice is at ur advantage because it relaxes the mind, u could plug it with this channel and start making moey off of that 2, think about it mate ur savvy with it.
This is a very apt video in this current political situation. It's astounding to me how easily people bow to peer pressure and mask up. I don't care what the tribe thinks, I've already procreated twice. Lol.
This editing is just on a whole other level!!!
MashaAllah. This is true about different opinion. In Islam, Allah love who is always thinking but not over it like overthinking and appreciate have different oppinion as long as not over in Islam. Allah ask us to read in our book, Al-Quran. Because when we always learn, we can get new knowledge for good to ourself and humankind. So, if you want to know more about Islam, you can search Hidayah Centre Foundation in ig or fb. I just comment here incase one of you want to know more about Islam. 🤗
I'm not afraid to express any of my opinions around my peers, not because all of my peers have the same opinions as me, they don't. It's because I know I can have an open discussion with my friends. If you're afraid to express any opinion that's not the same as your friends then that's the real issue.
Again music, presentation, content is just so great
Those who are able to see beyond the shadows and lies of their culture will never be understood, let alone believed by the masses ~Plato.
So good that this kinda info is being put out there. I needed this! 🔥
Good to see you here Daniel!
"Hijacks" might be a bit of an overstatement, but theres no denying that *everything* you sense has an influence on you, society included!
Believe me the brainwashing of movies and media in general is more then just hijacking.
Do your research, just on youtube you'll find how we are being manipulated with subliminal messages.
i think “hijacks” is an understatement in my opinion
NVEUSII. Yup-literal programming.
This is the best and the most cathartic video I've seen on YT in a while!
This is my favourite channel.
I give your channel 5 starts no doubt
Great video. I guess another question to consider is which path leads to more happiness: living in ignorance to the illusion of life or shattering societal beliefs to reality of life? I argue it is the former even though I would definitely not choose that path.
This is the first time I saw your video today. I liked it a lot
overall amazing video,
though the phrase "to see the world how it actually is" is dangerous in and of itself.
we can never possibly see the world how it actually is as there is no way to bypass interpretation.
perception itself is subjective.
therefore, we should do our best to think in probabilities rather than facts.
Holly Wise words
does the facts count as probabilities as well :3...?
Thanks
Damn your edit skills are amazing combined with that highly valueable information is going to create a whole other level on TH-cam
Agreed with 99% of your video, apart from the point on conspiracies where you throw people under the bus who are constantly questioning and going against society as well as the mainstreams narrative
I had literally thought about this a few days ago
I think about it all the time. So many people are unwilling to have an open mind and question others beliefs or even their own beliefs.
Very insightful, keep up the great work you are an inspiration 👍 🙏
Andrew what you share is so interesting. Thank you !
1:26 TURN UP!!
Those eyes are hypnotic....I must say
Kirby..
I quit other TH-cam after watching your Dopamine Detox series.
Respect!
How society think difference in physical or difference in belief. We are just the same, Human.
So stop putting down each other, Tolerance is the perfect traits for human, so we can live at peace. JUST UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER. BE SELFISH TO BECOME BETTER SELF TO HELP OTHER.
Please do a behind the scenes on how you make edit script the video. Cuz i can clearly notice the work behind it hats off!!👏🏼👏🏼💯👍🏼
Honestly these videos are like free therapy🙌🏻 keep going 👏🏻
Thankya
My peers just don’t shun people for having different beliefs. I have no reason to hide my beliefs, because I won’t be shunned for them.
I am a non-native English speaker and his heavy words are not getting in mind.
Just decrease the speed ,add captions and you are good to go
Neither. Luckily it was very easy for me to learn english
Intro was 🔥
One’s ‘beliefs’ are different from One’s ‘knowing’. Just as One’s ‘faith’’ is different from One’s ‘knowledge’. Your claim of people’s beliefs only existing to save us from societal shame or rejection, only covers a small portion of the larger Truth. Be glad on your Path to the truth, as many have yet to step foot. Peace to you brother
We care what others think of us. Great survival instinct but shitty attribute in the modern world.
We depend on nobody if we really want to! Okay, some people are not, but most of us are!
Eastern Philosophie is a really good solution of this problem. Buddhism, Taoism, meditation...
Live in the present and don't think about other people or about stuff from the past.
Appreciate the things around you and do that stuff that you do, right now, as well as you can! Focus brother! Focus Sister!
It's easier said than done but everyone can do that! You just need to want it! If you want something, you'll find a way!
Have a good day!
My whole family needs to watch this 😤🙄🤧
The answer was no but its because i dont care what other people think about me. And if they can provide evidence to change my mind then i will rethink my beliefs
Are you an INTJ??? Hahahaha joke 😂
Conspiracy Theorist: Society’s term for those who use their critical thinking and question common beliefs.
Aka “ Crazy , Weird , Stupid “ etc..
the most influenced people by society, by trying to find in details how the society flows, just to prove them wrong.
Why would you do that,,,?
Every one knows, what you know, meanwhile no one has the balls to act., but it didnt come from dreams, cuz they choose you, sorry body.
You watched movies, like everyone else, and you didnt see Sh**, even if you read books, still you're creating things in your mind, without touching them.
No BS, act on ya Shi* .
I agree. 'Conspiracy theorist' is a very lazy term - typically used to bash anybody who looks at sources other than the mainstream information channels. I was surprised to hear it come out of Andrew Kirby's mouth.
Some of my friends are just too scared to be alone and they create bad habbits of people that they hang out with
Love your content mate, i do think however you could get a lot more views and inevitably more subscribers if your videos were shorter. I personally watch and enjoy them regardless of the duration but looking at it from a societal perspective, i think people want to be in and out as fast as possible, but nevertheless keep it up mate.🔥
Thank you for making this video:)
This is SOO pretty Bee! I love it. No links for Celeste or Kamani huh?
