I should add to this (just for clarification), that I know many people who identify with so many different religious, political and philosophical ideologies. I have friends who are Democrats as well as Republicans... Christians, as well as Atheists, and so on. And while they don't always get along well with one another, I find that I usually get along with all of them just fine... because I relate to them at a level deeper than these superficial identifications. Beneath all of that, we're not so different. By recognizing our commonalities, we find our connection.

My mother once said this to me: "the people who are in groups, they are islands they dont connect with anyone that's not from their island. But you are the river, you are the sea and the lake that binds the islands togehter, you may stay one place sometime and then move on again, but in this way you will hold the sand and stones from those islands. This is the memory and the knowledge of water. And this sand, you leave behind on other islands so that they may grow from meeting you." I hope this helps all of you who feel that they dont belong. Much love ❤❤

@@9_9876 some people can be introvert and not want constant interaction too. I feel like I want to be left alone most of the time and when people want to talk to me I do like that but I prefer to be alone. I dislike how certain people attach themselves to me for the entire day and it bothers me. I'm not antisocial I just prefer my own company to that of other people sometimes. It's called being independent. The only interactions in life that I welcome are people who come with positivity but most importantly who value boundaries. As an introvert people who don't know their boundaries want your constant attention. I haven been like you too where there was a time I wanted to interact with people alot more and it has its pros and cons. When you talk to people you realize that some people are just not good and they're narcissists. So if you are a sensitive person who doesn't want their feelings messed with be wary. Some people love to play mind games and make you feel insecure out there.

@@9_9876 reasons you probably don't fit in come down to the fact that you are different in some way that people are not used to. If you want to get to know people or interact with people you have to extend yourself in someway to make abridge between you and other people. I think of it as acting or playing a part. For this to work you have to be in touch with your inner feelings and properly express those to others

If you belong to a group and a group always has an accepted social order then everyone knows what to expect and what is expected of them. When someone from another group has to be dealt with they are an unknown quantity and therefore possibly dangerous to survival. If you are an individual with no affiliation to any particular group then once again you are a threat because you’re unpredictable. So in a sense it all makes sense it’s just that we are evolving beyond that point now and transitions are usually a little rocky.

Hello! Yes, l am in my 70s and I have never had a tribe or any friends who are interested in me and are available for play, celebration, or whatever. Acquaintances but l am the oddball, out cast and the loner. I don't make concessions on my spirit or my truth to fit in. Loving kindness is the only thing that matters in my opinion. Living in a reverence of the universe and the magic of beauty and blessings that are always present. Each moment is a treasure and a gift from spirit. Staying in touch with my unique perspective and understanding that we are all together in the mystery of our relationship with our world. I feel content with my reclusive and solitary life. Laughter, love, compassion, joy, passion, peace and the magic of life unfolding in each precious moment. No judgment, regrets or needs to do it for the purpose of fitting in to a group. Gratitude is a constant reminder of the abundance of life in every day of being alive. THANKS for your time and your thoughts. Enjoy!

I know, as I'm sure we all do here, exactly what you mean. Although, I was just thinking the other day that this year is a massive education, the the truth is being revealed.... about everything. With this in mind, I know that anyone I do connect with in the future with be amazing and flow with ease in conversation and energy. This is because it is becoming more and more obvious who we will and won't connect with on a soul level, a consiousness level, a vibrational level. This will make it easier for us to find each other and will be even more genuine and authentic, because it is rare. Let those people disappear and go, keep going, it's making room for better connections in the future. In the difficult times, remember to self nurture, speak compassionately to yourself, be kind to yourself and remember, it will pass. Trust yourself and your journey. Cut yourself some slack and congratulate yourself for getting through this year. Autumn is a perfect time to let go of what we don't need, like the trees losing their leaves in a beautiful colourful display with such grace. They show us with beauty the art of letting go. Autumn is also harvest time where we reap the fruits of all the hard work we have done through the year and celebrate. Keep going, stay on your path and be your authentic self. The great thing is...we don't need lots of people in our lives, one or two is fine, as long as the connection is there. This year I'm flipping everything on it's head and finding the advantages of the challenges we are surrounded with.

Angels have communities. Every angel belongs to a community. Still, the best of the angels live separate from their communities. They live alone with their wives or husbands. Yes, they are married, but there is no formality, they meet, they choose each other, they live forever half in each other, but they have their homes in secluded areas away from the others. All angels were once human. The purpose of life is to produce angels.

Every once in a while, I will join a community and adopt its ideology for a while as a kind of practice. It's not just by design, it's natural. Sure, some people exploit it, but they're just exploiting something that was already there. Humans are biological machines running a program we call an ego structure. The ego structure is constantly trying to make itself "real", and it can only do that trough having an "other" validate it. Be it trough acceptance or conflict it's made "real" by the "other". This is a fundamental process of nature and is the source of all duality and "separateness". Existence could not be existence without non-existence. Before something exists it's only the possibility of existing, not actually existing. In order to exist it must be separate from non-existence, it must be more than one, at minimum two. When there is two one can validate the existence of the other making them both "real". The ego structure works on this mechanism, so it will always seek out ways where is can be different/separate from others, it is its function and this leads to concepts such as "I" and "you" and "us" and "them". This takes place everywhere in nature, even in non living material, and it's why there is a nearly infinite combination of things. Hate to tell you this, but you might as well make peace with that humans will always be at "war", even if we all come together as one we'll still separate ourselves from other things that we'll see as "not of us". Only way this will ever stop is if we become Borg and consume the entire universe making it back into one thing and with it end existence.

Thank you TH-cam algorithms for this recommendation! Divingly timed! As a toddler I felt like I was dropped off on the wrong planet and knew there was something fundamentally wrong with this world. I have never fit in anywhere, God knows I did try a few times! I'm 46 now and I am completely comfortable not fitting in anywhere and completely comfortable within myself. I am a soul on a journey of learning and everything I need is within. I love solitude, have a deep connection with nature and the cosmos and so many of my gifts require solitude - guitar, painting/art, meditation, reading, learning, researching, healing. Despite not fitting in, I am never lonely, bored and do not feel any sense of loss or separation. It took me many years of learning and lessons to reach this point and return to who I really am, which I knew in my childhood, however school, society, family, religion and indoctrination etc steered off the path of myself. I understand now that everything I experienced and learned from(in this life) has been preparing me for the times we are living in right now. What better year than this to be an individual, a hermit, an independent soul, a cosmic being, a "loner", self sufficient and so on. We are actually made for this and just by living as our authentic selves, we are giving a message to others that they can if they want to and we are communicating by example. Thank you for video, the woods look lovely. Big Love from Ireland 🇨🇮💚🙏😁.

I feel the same way. I have often thought that maybe I am from a different planet but I think it's because we aren't living the way the human race is meant to live. We all still have instincts from our ancestors in our DNA. Most people who seem happy really aren't they just pretend to be. We were meant to be with nature not destroying it so we can get more then we need to survive. We aren't meant to be around thousands of people everyday but are meant to be around a small "village" and we are all meant to play an important role in that village. Humans have become unnatural and aren't living in habitats that support what they are. Humans have become the fish out of water trying to swim in a concrete sea all while trying to out swim the other fish next to them, but neither of them go anywhere.

      @herculesmclovin 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi 😊
Okay so I've felt this way *all* my life, especially after maturity from being a teenager. How I also describe it is that I am a robot and I've self-programmed (well, tried) to match the world. The world feels like I'm not supposed to be in it and everything I do and say has been something I have learnt, so that I fit in. Including learning feelings and how to react to emotional situations. Underneath the robot that everyone has come to understand, is what I can only describe as a solid ball of tangled mess, which is hard to connect with on a conscious level and was once unavailable. I think, you are currently unavailable.
I had a breakdown then break-through about a year ago now, so want to briefly explain what I've come to see... Because if we, "robots" on your comment thread are the same... Then it may be beneficial!
So, my understanding has been this... My childhood was traumatic = I learnt to hide who I was to save having to feel, out of fear of rejection, non-love and pain = I then sealed up tightly my experiences into a, "solid ball of tangled mess" and removed any conscious attachment to it, wiping it from my memory = so, here I am now rediscovering my childhood and slowing tapping into my true self.
Believe me it is truly hard. But it is so worth it. Now when I laugh, I feel it, when I cry, I actually feel it. It's hard but the more you let yourself feel the better you get at controlling/magaging real feelings. Basically, You grow emotional intelligence.
Slowly, my robot-self is less of a necessity to use, atm I'm about 80% of the time robot, but I'm hopeful now that I understand my purpose... It's all inside us: the answer. Comfort, fitting in and satisfaction does not come externally... All the answers lie in being true with who we are and opening up that mess in whatever way works 🙏

That is a great and healthy mentality to have. as long as other's values and integrity are as noble as ours. @Sunflower Shine If only it didn't feel so necessary at times to feel a sense of belonging. Not that it always IS necessary, but, it sometimes can feel that way. I believe it was Terence McKenna who said: "If you keep yourself as the final arbiter you will be less susceptible to infection by cultural illusion. Now the problem with this is that it makes you feel bad to not be infected by cultural illusion because it's called alienation...the reason we feel alienated is because the society is infantile, trivial, and stupid. So, the cost of sanity in this society is a certain level of alienation."

You almost made me cry, thank you, this had always been something that I’ve experienced.. The human society is so limited which makes people judgmental because they themselves feel insignificant... I’ve always came home sad or irritated because someone would treat me a certain way because I don’t dress, walk, listen to music, or talk like how people expect me to... I know it’s not that I’m “different” but I’m more comfortable with being my authentic self, and those people are not... I like being at home or out in nature, away from people, because honestly I have felt more disappointment than joy from this strangers. I’m nice to everyone until they give me a reason not to be, but yes at this point I like to be in my own presence and not waste any of my precious energy on negativity. Once one identifies with a label, group or ideology, they stop caring about the truth. After such an identification, they only care about what interpretation of the truth benefits their group, or chosen label etc. As you say, at the end of the day we all are beautifully complex human beings, and it's the abstract labels we use to divide ourselves which has to go, not any particular person in power. In any case, thank you for this video it is quite refreshing to see someone with such a perspective....

What if you identify only partially with a label, enough to use it but not be totally blinded by it. To me some labels fit better than others but that doesn't mean I don't realize that every label is only a partial truth and cannot be swallowed whole.
