As I said long time ago he is new metallica, he is making great songs recently. When I first heard trivium - down from the sky it was fcking awesome and since then I knew they will make awesome songs like throes of perdition, in waves, sin and the sentence or stirfe but still down from the sky in my heart as the greatest song of this band.

I remember, a long time ago, going to a show in Minneapolis, and some band called "Trivium" was one of the warm-up bands. Having never heard of them before, I told my brother, who was there with me, that I thought the young front man/guitar player was AMAZING! We ended up chatting with 'young Matthew,' and buying a copy of "From Ember to Inferno" from him for $10! It's hard to believe that they are still kicking ass, and sound better than ever!🤘
The number of bands who can, ten albums in, still develop their sound and have this level of quality is very few (Soilwork is another). Trivium is one of the few bands I listen to where I enjoy their new stuff as much as their old stuff. And Ascendancy is one of my favorite albums ever. Truly a talented group of gentlemen.
Soilwork's sound truly matured over the past 5 - 10 years. Trivium's music is definitely maturing as well, the songwriting and performance is just undeniable
I hope they actually finish the story arc in this case, hate it when I band starts a fun story arc in songs or music videos and then just drops it mid story.
I agree. People hated on Silence in the Snow so much because they’d toned it down from their past albums (because Matt was recovering from his blow out, I believe) but I still think it was amazing. Their music touches my soul.

I love how trivium never tries to look badass and take on a look just to prove they’re some tough metal band. Alex just rocks the attire of a normal dude and Corey has rocked the same style since Day 1. It’s just a super minor observation but when you’re a master of your art you don’t have to try to look the “part”.
Paolo is proving record after record how good of a bass player he truly is. Fantastic tone as always, and that tapping part at the end is just *chef kiss*

Yeah they been pretty busy it seems. For a band to put out this quality back to back in less then 18 months is friggin dedication. Just sets the bar in my opinion.

As someone who's been a fan since picking up the "Ascendancy" CD on a teenage whim because I thought the cover was pretty, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for continuing to innovate, create, and endure in a way most bands can onIy dream of nowadays, and making music that feels instantly recognizable as Trivium but still brand-new every time. I can't wait for this new era to get underway!
Charlie Simpson from fightstar got me into trivium many years ago I never regret trying the crusade album and ascendancy album and been trivium fan ever since 🤟
Gotta say. It wasn't that long ago that Trivium was an 'expect nothing and you can't be disappointed' band for me. And somehow, we've reached the point where my expectations are sky high and somehow, they're met consistently. Alex Bent and The Sin and the Sentence saved this band, and it's been one hell of a ride ever since. Another fantastic single from a no doubt fantastic record. You guys are on fire. Great stuff! And notice this song has almost no screaming? SITS's problem was never clean vocals. It was the exclusion of variety in the vocal styles, mixed with some very middling and half-hearted songwriting. Matt held back on account of his vocal injury, and Madiro despite being an excellent drummer just wasn't a 'Trivium' drummer. Alex however most certainly is. The band doesn't have to hold back with him, no matter how crazy things get, he can handle it. And with Matt using a safer screaming style live, saving the riskier style for the studio, he doesn't have to hold back in fear of another injury anymore either. The restraints are off and the middling era that began when Nick joined the back well and truly ended with Alex. It's not to say those three in-between albums don't have some great material on them, but they are a valley situated between the two colossal mountains that are Shogun and TSATS, and by god, I'm glad to have Trivium back. This is the band I fell in love with back in the mid 00's and with other post-metalcore efforts like BFMV having completely lost their way and A7X seemingly completely AWOL, the constant ass-kicking that Trivium has been giving us has never been needed more than right now. Bravo guys. It's so hard to get excited about new music these days with so many of my favorite bands being so inconsistent with the quality and frequency of their output, but you guys are the kings of the few exceptions. Can't wait to see what you've got in store for us next.
Yup ! In Waves. Silence. The last 3 albums. All fantastic. It's just a shame about vengeance falls. Shogun to now would have been an insane run of albums. VF to me sounded like the songs that didnt make In Waves in literally any old order.
@@DavidOakesMusic I agree with everything about SITS and vengeance falls but I also saw those albums as a necessity for growth in this band. They truly were the two most experimental albums in their career (with the exception of the crusade, but this is just my opinion). Heady really found his melodic voice in these two albums and truly added some new dynamics that you can still hear in the albums today. They seemed to have really found themselves and their identity with TSATS and WTDMS but those albums were necessary to get there in my opinion.

Matt's vocals getting more and more impressive and versatile with each new album. A good percentage of bands are has-beens or forgotten by album ten but these guys are still refining their sound and putting out killer material.
Trivium is setting out to prove that bands really can get better and better if they care too put in the work. Matt's vocals are insane on this track. The solos are straight up mesmerizing. The bass somehow chimes through??? Magicians. And the drums had a constant hint of war behind them. This album is going to be mental.

@@MrB1ah that is the most important part of being a band. All members need to be good friends to begin with, and love hanging out with each other. Ever since Alex came into the band, their dynamic has changed altogether. It's as if he was the missing piece.
I am literally blown away by the passion driving these men and the effort they put into each new record. 10 records in, and I still feel like this new material is something I haven't heard from them before. This is a totally brilliant song. I think the main hangar setting shot and the camera cuts on Matt singing are a homeage to "Like Light to the Flies" Music Video. Or is it only me?
It kind of reminds me of Silence in the snow (the album) but it's more like an evolution of that record, not really the same thing. I like it, people tend to hate it because matt doesnt scream lol.

But generally speaking (even in terms of production), Silence in the Snow was like a tuned down version of a Trivium album. Still had amazing songs though. But that's just my opinion. If you love it, that's all that matters ❤️

If you like this you will like most of their stuff. But each album has its own unique sound & feel. The Crusade if your a Metallica fan. Shogun if you like prog mixed with thrash. Vengeance Falls for balls to the wall Metal. In Waves leans a bit hardcore but is still solid, hits some Sepultura territory at times. Silence in the Snow is very melodic with no heavy vocals. Ascendency was the breakout album and has a bit of a screamo feel at times will still hitting killer 80's riffs and solos. What the Dead Men Say is a solid mix of everything. And their latest, In the Court of the Dragon King is like WTDMS on steroids. I've been a fan for almost 20 years and they never disappoint, age like fine wine. Every album is solid. By this point I assume you have discovered more but if not, at worst just watch music video after music video. If you really dig them, follow the frontman Matt on here, he posts tons of awesome acoustic versions and covers. 🤘🤘🤘🤘

I've listened to What The Dead Men Say three times and it was an amazing album and thanks to Endless Night you can get to know this magnificent band. I admit I wasn't expecting them to release a new album this year, but when Trivium released In The Court Of The Dragon (music video) a month ago and I listened to it, I immediately got a smile on my face, because they haven't done this since Ascendancy (my favorite album from the band) and The Crusade, released in 2005 and 2006, respectively. As for Feast of Fire, I especially loved the difference to the song of the same name on the album, which made it a very creative song. Greetings from Portugal!!!!

The year is 2023. After Matt shaved his head during the summer of 2021, Alex followed suit in the summer of 2022. Corey struggles to cope with the possibility that he too will soon have no choice but to do the same. His luscious locks let out a soft cry at this realization. "Why Corey? Why must you do this to us?", they are heard saying. As Corey grabs the razor, he responds, "It must be done."
Some of my fondest memories watching Trivium live for the tours of each of their 1st 6 albums. Twice for a couple of those. Still to this day Trivium are my favorite band ever. I don't listen to much music these days as I'm nearly 40 & I have missed the last 2 albums. Awesome to see though that they haven't lost a beat & are as kick ass as ever.

This is true! I've noted that the late 90s- early 20s have that ability (CoB and some other bands IMO)

Matt held back on account of his vocal injury, and Madiro despite being an excellent drummer just wasn't a 'Trivium' drummer. Alex however most certainly is. The band doesn't have to hold back with him, no matter how crazy things get, he can handle it. And with Matt using a safer screaming style live, saving the riskier style for the studio, he doesn't have to hold back in fear of another injury anymore either. The restraints are off and the middling era that began when Nick joined the back well and truly ended with Alex. It's not to say those three in-between albums don't have some great material on them, but they are a valley situated between the two colossal mountains that are Shogun and TSATS, and by god, I'm glad to have Trivium back. This is the band I fell in love with back in the mid 00's and with other post-metalcore efforts like BFMV having completely lost their way and A7X seemingly completely AWOL, the constant ass-kicking that Trivium has been giving us has never been needed more than right now.
Bravo guys. It's so hard to get excited about new music these days with so many of my favorite bands being so inconsistent with the quality and frequency of their output, but you guys are the kings of the few exceptions. Can't wait to see what you've got in store for us next.
Yup ! In Waves. Silence. The last 3 albums. All fantastic. It's just a shame about vengeance falls. Shogun to now would have been an insane run of albums. VF to me sounded like the songs that didnt make In Waves in literally any old order.
@@DavidOakesMusic I agree with everything about SITS and vengeance falls but I also saw those albums as a necessity for growth in this band. They truly were the two most experimental albums in their career (with the exception of the crusade, but this is just my opinion). Heady really found his melodic voice in these two albums and truly added some new dynamics that you can still hear in the albums today. They seemed to have really found themselves and their identity with TSATS and WTDMS but those albums were necessary to get there in my opinion.
This band has always been great. They're better then most of their peers. You're just a sh*tty fan with unrealistic high expectations

Matt's vocals getting more and more impressive and versatile with each new album. A good percentage of bands are has-beens or forgotten by album ten but these guys are still refining their sound and putting out killer material.
Trivium is setting out to prove that bands really can get better and better if they care too put in the work. Matt's vocals are insane on this track. The solos are straight up mesmerizing. The bass somehow chimes through??? Magicians. And the drums had a constant hint of war behind them. This album is going to be mental.
All these years now you have flooded the world with greatness.. Damn.

It kind of reminds me of Silence in the snow (the album) but it's more like an evolution of that record, not really the same thing. I like it, people tend to hate it because matt doesnt scream lol.

But generally speaking (even in terms of production), Silence in the Snow was like a tuned down version of a Trivium album. Still had amazing songs though. But that's just my opinion. If you love it, that's all that matters ❤️

If you like this you will like most of their stuff. But each album has its own unique sound & feel. The Crusade if your a Metallica fan. Shogun if you like prog mixed with thrash. Vengeance Falls for balls to the wall Metal. In Waves leans a bit hardcore but is still solid, hits some Sepultura territory at times. Silence in the Snow is very melodic with no heavy vocals. Ascendency was the breakout album and has a bit of a screamo feel at times will still hitting killer 80's riffs and solos. What the Dead Men Say is a solid mix of everything. And their latest, In the Court of the Dragon King is like WTDMS on steroids. I've been a fan for almost 20 years and they never disappoint, age like fine wine. Every album is solid. By this point I assume you have discovered more but if not, at worst just watch music video after music video. If you really dig them, follow the frontman Matt on here, he posts tons of awesome acoustic versions and covers. 🤘🤘🤘🤘

The vocals are insane on this, it’s crazy how far Matt has progressed since ETI. Also 2:43 - 2:45 ish that high-pitched tap/slide “bleeping” thing was really cool to toss into that solo section. Hell yeah!!

I've listened to What The Dead Men Say three times and it was an amazing album and thanks to Endless Night you can get to know this magnificent band. I admit I wasn't expecting them to release a new album this year, but when Trivium released In The Court Of The Dragon (music video) a month ago and I listened to it, I immediately got a smile on my face, because they haven't done this since Ascendancy (my favorite album from the band) and The Crusade, released in 2005 and 2006, respectively. As for Feast of Fire, I especially loved the difference to the song of the same name on the album, which made it a very creative song. Greetings from Portugal!!!!

Some of my fondest memories watching Trivium live for the tours of each of their 1st 6 albums. Twice for a couple of those. Still to this day Trivium are my favorite band ever. I don't listen to much music these days as I'm nearly 40 & I have missed the last 2 albums. Awesome to see though that they haven't lost a beat & are as kick ass as ever.
