Gotta say, heard this song on my radio station but this the first time ever seeing the video. The imagery is epic, filmed in beautiful black and white, after watching it to the end, said aloud, *"that was badass!~"*
They got the idea from AC/DC Thunderstruck. Awesome song too, a7x just changed the intro a bit to make it their own. Some people say a7x stole it, but really they're paying homage to the bands before them that lead the way. If there was no AC/DC or Metallica ect, no A7X.

My two favorite bands are MetallicA and Disturbed, but Avenged Sevenfold has perfected the sound of classic thrash/shred metal. It's not all screamo, but has some and real grit and power. The band members are brilliant musicians and they sound flawless. Plus their mixing and layering of instruments is some of the best in all of music. I would love to see them live one day.

It's impressive how Mr. Shadows' vocal intensity persists, even after years of vocal strain. He carries all the emotional depth, manifesting as anger and hatred in his delivery. The layers in this song are incredible; the weight and intensity blend seamlessly with its melodramatic essence. Synyster Gates' solo is truly captivating.
In every avenged's concert when this song is being played there is nothing to do in the Intro part but shouting " hail". it's just so fucking exciting as fuck.

Be thankful they do not play it on the radio too much, because they will run it into the ground just like they do all of the songs they get a hold of. They play them over and over and over and over. I can barely listen to the radio any more because it's the same shit constantly.

As a metal head from the old days, it fills my heart with joy to see the heavy metal banner being carried forward by these kids from A7x. More power to them, I say! Yes, they are not Judas Priest or Iron Maiden. They are something new. Representing a new era and a new generation. But yet they carry with them all the traditions and virtues that make metal, metal. As soon as Johnny enters the song around 00:53 is when it starts to feel like the song is finally complete after all that buildup and then the lyrics can begin. THAT'S why the bass is important in metal.

This is the first time I've ever heard someone make music that sounds almost identical to MetallicA. I've said for a long time that no one quite does music like Metallica, but these guys have actually managed to make something that sounds exactly like one of my favorite bands of all time! Slayer, Black Sabbath, Motionless in White, Five Finger Death Punch, and Metallica have all continued to be active since after '99 (which was when A7X was founded), and all have a similar vibe. Admittedly Hetfield and Ulrich are douchebags, but they've still made albums since St. Anger that were better than St. Anger. All are metal in the 80s sense of metal (some might argue Sabbath and Metallica founded metal). So what in the Hell are you talking about?

My two favorite bands are MetallicA and Disturbed, but Avenged Sevenfold has perfected the sound of classic thrash/shred metal. It's not all screamo, but has some and real grit and power. The band members are brilliant musicians and they sound flawless. Plus their mixing and layering of instruments is some of the best in all of music. I would love to see them live one day.

You should look at there other albums like city of evil, nightmare, the stage, and the self titled album. I don't like the type of music people listen to. And I feel like this band and type of music should be on top of the world!
I'm a huge A7X fan, but Sounding The Seventh Trumpet is skippable for me, every other record by them worth a listen though

This is the first time I've ever heard someone make music that sounds almost identical to MetallicA. I've said for a long time that no one quite does music like Metallica, but these guys have actually managed to make something that sounds exactly like one of my favorite bands of all time! that most esteemed position in my heart is way too crowded for an a7x song, as it's currently occupied by Dio's Holy Diver, but if it wasn't, it would probably be Be'lakor's "countless skies", lamb of god's "set to fail", or Katatonia's "scarlet heavens"

I was an 80s kid into heavy metal and I can say for the first time since then that this band has done it correctly
Then you haven't listened to a lot of heavy metal in the last 40 years, or you're not positive what metal is. Slayer, Black Sabbath, Motionless in White, Five Finger Death Punch, and Metallica have all continued to be active since after '99 (which was when A7X was founded), and all have a similar vibe. Admittedly Hetfield and Ulrich are douchebags, but they've still made albums since St. Anger that were better than St. Anger. All are metal in the 80s sense of metal (some might argue Sabbath and Metallica founded metal). So what in the Hell are you talking about?
@@noneofyerbisness8702 i would even argue that A7X has done good metal before this, the city of evil album is great, their self titled album is great, and nightmare is pretty good, this in my opinion is one of their weaker albums. How can this be the first metal song? All those others are amazing, object if you will but theres a lot of good metal.
