Worked on my 2004 Corolla. Much better than some other videos that don't give verbal instructions that match the actions. I'm looking at my key and ignition switch, I'm not looking at the video to see if the door should be open or closed. Thanks. I bought a OEM fob from eBay.12 dollars.

Ordered 2 remotes along with a key, with my luck I got the wrong remotes. It sucked but kept my kool and contacted the service team, luckily they helped me out and shipped the right ones and programmed them. Love them!

hega02 yeah I tried a few days after this, didn’t work at all. Got the car into programming mode but pushing the remote buttons did nothing. A friend told me I needed to get it scanned so that’s what I’m going to look into next

@mandykiwi Were you able to make it work? I wonder if I can do it too, mines has the power locks too but didn't come with the remote.
@@mandykiwi if it goes into programming mode and remote doesn't program then check battery in remote or check you have the right remote. Some aftermarket remotes don't work at all. Maybe try OEM remote or just check the remote battery.

Does it work on a 2002 model ?
Nice video! I have tried this method to enter programming mode as well as the ones where you unlock and lock the doors several times and the one where you turn the key in the ignition from on to off several times but none of them work for my 2004 corolla. The only one that seems to enter my car in programming mode to add new transmitters for my dealer installed system was the Securikey+ procedure.

My 2006 Corolla CE will not enter program mode, I have followed along with this video, and the instructions that came with my new FOB. It will not enter programming mode, I’m doing everything exactly as instructed idk what is going on?

Thank you so much Tom for your video , the instructions at the website for this remote are different, it didn’t work . I have a 2006 Toyota Corolla , I finally can use it with remote , I’m so happy for it . I noticed that after I did programming while I was inside the car and I had the driver door unlock , after a few seconds it locked itself, I unlocked it and it did locked itself again , but if I unlocked again and open the door and then closed it , it doesn’t lock itself . Is that normal or do I have to program it again ?

On your website, it shows that you need "Tom's key programmer" for 2005-2008 Toyota Corolla. But in this video you didn't use it, so it appears that there is an error on the website. Luckily I found this video before I ordered the remote.

worked for 2011 Toyota Avalon (base) Canadian model with an integrated key/remote... all videos for the Avalon so far only showed the push button start option.

I've tried this method 15 times, and neither my factory OEM remote programs, or the new one I bought. I even tried watching 4 other videos here on YT and tried every single method and nothing works. I can get to the end of the programming and lock the doors ONCE with my remote, then it unlocks itself without pressing the button and wont work after that. I even tried disconnecting the battery for 60 seconds then trying again and NOTHING. I haven't found anything on the entire internet that says anything about what to do if it DOESN'T program either.... VERY frustrating!!

Does the automatic trunk release button work with a 2005? Mine does nothing. Is it only there if I want to install an automatic trunk release?
It depends on the functionality original to the car. If the original remote did not have trunk release, the trunk release button will not open the trunk

Do the Toyota Corolla 2008 LE key fob have the lock sound on it
I did this but it only worked for unlocking and locking the driver door. It didn't work for the other doors nor did it work for opening the trunk. Any advice on what I did wrong?

So I am able to reprogram one key fob that came with the car, but when I try to add another key fob (one I bought from ebay that has a newer look with they key and fob in one), it does not work. When in programming mode I press lock and unlock and the locks cycle twice and nothing happens after I try to use the key but the original key fob it works fine (programming and using to lock/unlock)

I have a 2005 corolla type S. I bought the car without a keyless remote control. I am unsure whether I should buy the remote control with 3 buttons (unlock/lock/panic) or 4 buttons (unlock/lock/panic/hatch.trunk)?
I do have the original key to the vehicle.
I want to get a control that opens the hatch/trunk, but I am unsure it will work. But I would prefer to get a keyless control to open the trunk whenever I am grocery shopping.
Hatch can either be open through key or manual cable on the drivers side floor board.
If your car was originally manufactured with the 4 button (trunk) you'd want to get that. Call the Toyota dealership with your VIN and ask if they can look it up. Or, you can just buy the 4 button version. If it came with trunk button from the factory, it will work. If not, just lock/unlock will work.

Followed this to the T. After I completed the directions, the locks locked then unlocked, showing it was in program mode. I held the buttons on the remote down at the same time for 2 seconds and my remote won't program to my car. I purchased the OEM part number GQ43VT14T from Keyless Sentry remote inc.

I got an email saying I needed a programmer for this key fob. It came in and it wasn’t working I looked up this video and turns out I wasted 50 bucks on the programmer. Still saved a lot of money. Basically could’ve bought a key fob for 35 bucks but I ended up spending 85. If you buy this fob don’t buy the programmer lol it isn’t needed.

Would this work for my 2003 Toyota Corolla CE? I only have powered side mirrors and my windows are manual.
From experience I regretfully doubt, I would recommend you try and see if you can get the doors to cycle first before buying a remote. Most CE models are rarely equipped with a keyless entry system even if the vehicle had power lock and windows. If your passenger door can be opened with an ignition key from the outside and the vehicle is missing an OEM cruise control lever, those are more signs that the vehicle is most likely missing an onboard keyless entry system. The dealership (may replace a keyless entry system if it was already equipped but is now malfunctional) doesn't install systems that weren't initially factory installed. In that case your option will be an aftermarket system and remote. Dealerships in Texas recommend cartoys but you can choose to work with any service techs you trust. Hope this helps.
