    Just rediscovered this app. I’ve had it installed forever, but never dove in. Wow is this powerful!!! It’s everything I have been looking for. I’m devouring these tutorials now as I think it’s perfect for my work flow. So much of the live/jam capability that I love about AUM but with intuitive looping! And the fact that I can create any interface I dream up is absolutely mind blowing. I am so impressed!

      @@JohnPaulMusicUK I'm just getting started. I've got a Behringer flow 8 for an interface and just got a 6 channel blue tooth floor pedal. I have great expectations of forming large songs with Keys, drums, Bass, guitar, and vocals with multiple changes, but it's a long time coming I feel.

    I've finally started using LP and thought I'd review these tutorials. They are very informative but I'd love to actually see your fingers tapping the screen instead of just the results. This would be helpful for the gestures.
    Many thanks

    Just discovered Loopy Pro. I've used a LoopStation for years but this software opens up possibilities I've never dreamed of trying.
    Your videos are great intros. That said, I can see the results of what you are touching on the screen but I can't see what you're actually doing. An overhead of that screen would be an even better demonstration of how to get things done. I can't wait to get deeper into the software. Many thanks my friend.

    Can you take drums and sounds from other apps to make the loops. ?

  • @andysvideoarchives1773
    @andysvideoarchives1773 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Just to correct what you said about the bpm when you tapped. You should have described it as "precise" not "accurate". It IS no doubt accurate but you can't tell that from what you were doing at that point. Precision and accuracy are two different things.

    Hello, your tutorials/videos are extremely interesting. What I’d like to know, I have the original Loopy HD, of course, it would appear loopy pro is based on Loopy HD, but sure enough, loopy pro appears to have many more features. Can projects from loopy pro be exported to other music production software, including Logic pro? I assume the same as Loopy HD, Loopy pro is only available on iPad, is that so? If that’s the case, is it possible to AirDrop projects from loopy HD and or loopy pro and be used for further editing via programs such as logic pro which I have on my iMac. Thank you.

    hello! you mention another video that will cover synchronization of external devices. i want to sync my loopy to the clock of my opz (bpm and/or transport). the "synchronization" part of the manual is blank unfortunately and i have not been able to figure this out. in the midi- video you are not talking about sync at all. so how is it done? :) thank you!

    I got a big issue with the app. When I plug in an interface like spark go from positive grid or my focisrite scarlett solo, there is no sound coming out. But I can see that the app is recording so the input is ok. I tried everything but I think I am missing something but what. I'm connecting the focusrite directly to my my Ipad wich has also a usb c plugin. And the spark go is running via midi to the app. Could you please give me some advice. I don't figure it out alone.

      The iPhone mic is omnidirectional and pics up everything and doesn’t have the quality of a mic with an audio interface.

    How do you add like synth sounds or other instruments from a program not actual instruments, is there a recommended app to use? I’m just trying to learn all of this stuff and know nothing about it tho, would like to add other sounds to my band in the background of our songs

      Checkout episode 4 and 5 about the mixer plugins and you can add sounds and synths there:

    Hi JP. Im using an audio interface and would like to record from 2 different instruments. On the loopy pro the Input strip lists the number input from my audio interface. How can I enable loopy pro to allow me to go from one instrument (input) to another (enabling multiple inputs at once) For example, I would record keyboard and go right to the drums for the next track without having to change the input number.

      Just add more channels on the input of Loopy Pro’s mixer. Watch this video from the Loopy Pro series - th-cam.com/play/PLO36LpORUSaYsDmWvl2tqZr3flIVH2ffl.html

    Is there an option to start and stop a new loop by tapping instead of relying on a fixed length from the tempo menu? For example, in Ableton I can start and complete a new loop with two presses at any length I decide during recording. I dont have to know before starting the loop if it will be 2,4,16 bars.. I just tap to close the loop when I am ready to.

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK
      @JohnPaulMusicUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can do this for the first one so it can work out the bpm for you or put the track into a free mode for soundscapes so the bpm is ignored.

    Thanks for the amazing video series. I have a random clock question maybe you can help with. I have this vision of using the Djay pro app where you can isolate drums/vocals where I would created a bed of music. Then jump over to loopy pro to record vocal/guitar loops with a template like you built (way simpler tho😂) The problem is with ableton link on in both apps, Loopy pro will never follow the bpm of the songs in djay pro. It just flips to whatever tempo Loopy is set at. Any ideas?

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK
      @JohnPaulMusicUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      You will need to use Ableton Link and tell Loopy Pro to not be the main internal clock but listen for the external clock. Then it should follow whatever is pumping out the bpm via link.
      Hope that makes sense?

  • @stickist3798
    @stickist3798 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    some questions.
    - is there a chance to unsyc the loop like having no tempo on three loops with different lengths? I also need to manipulate each loop independently like backwards etc.
    - can I use a send of the mixer to another loop?
    - is it possible to fade out all loops?
    thanks in advance

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK
      @JohnPaulMusicUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Stefan.
      Yes to all three questions!
      You can have a loop that is disconnected with the BPM.
      You can feed a loop back in to be looped (very useful once you’ve added effects) and certainly can fade too.
      Keep watching the series and you’ll find more answers. 👍🏻

    Is it possible to send midi clock out from loopy to mainstage 3?

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK
      @JohnPaulMusicUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. 👍🏻 You can synchronise the clock with other hardware and apps, using either MIDI Clock Sync or Ableton Link, and you can modify any clock parameters using actions and MIDI control.

    Hi, lately the finger twist to adjust where the loop plays isn’t working properly, it seems to divide the audio and then not play parts. Any suggestions? I’ve tried two fingers, finger and thumb, and nothing seems to work

      I should add that the clip moves but on release it just flips back to the previous position or splits the audio. This is only happening recently

      Oooh that’s weird.
      Just tried mine now on the latest version (v1.1.17) and nothing has changed.
      I opened an existing track and tried it, and then also opened a brand-new project from default and tried it as well and was working fine.
      If the problem persists, maybe delete the app from your device and re-download a fresh copy from the App Store.
      Failing that, getting in touch with Michael here : loopypro.com/communities/
