  • Welcome to the Loopy Pro Video Manual
    In this fourth video of the series, JP shows us the powerful Mixer, how to add and expand the different parts within the Mixer and how colours are so important in Loopy Pro.
    This is a series from both myself and A Tasty Pixel to provide a guide to one of the most expansive and comprehensive Looping app.

      @@JohnPaulMusicUK i definitely will. You also gave me an idea on setting up my TH-cam channel using my iOS devices. I currently have a M1 iPad with 256 gigs along with an iPhone 11

    I am not seeing the + button on channel strips in the mixer to add effects. Is there a setting or something I need to activate?

    That was such a kool loop you created and got my creative juices going. I started to follow you mate but started to get lost about 2 mins in... I think you forget you''re a real pro with this thing and then you start talking faster and faster. American English is my native tongue. LOL I will go back to some of your ""lets get started"" videos and see if I can get a handle on things. Thanks much mate. Gr8 work! Just a bit over my pay grade. ;-)

      Ahhh yeah.. I do talk fast. Go back to episode 1 and TH-cam has a great feature where you can slow down the video without affecting the pitch.

    Hey bro, I love your videos however I’ve come into an issue. I got an audio interface the vault two and you say that Loopy Pro will know that it’s hooked up automatically but mine isn’t. I have everything hooked up, but it’s still inputting from the iPhone.

    Can you use day RME UFXii and access multiple outputs?

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK
      @JohnPaulMusicUK  ปีที่แล้ว

      If the firewire can talk to the iPad with the right connection then possibly yes. As long as the iPad (or whatever you are using) understands what the connection is.

    Es posible agregar un crossfader? necesitaria tener mis dispositivos externos para tocar en vivo en el canal A por ejemplo.
    Y samplearlos en el canal B. Use the crossfaer para escuchar solamente los loops, mientras en el lado A voy modificando parametros de mis equipos.

    Hi John, thanks for your génial Work and videos,
    . I'm having trouble with my Pro look at the inputs I have a two-input evo 4 audio card even when selecting stereo inputs the inputs are still separate or coming out on the right or left side. And then I can't do the mix because they are limited to come out as they came in, that is, mono. can you help me solve this thanks

    Hey. Is there a way to connect 2 ipads through a cable(without w8fi or bluetooth c9nnection) and use 1 app on both? I wanna use loopy pro on both ipads at the same time .

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK
      @JohnPaulMusicUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So you want to use 2 audio interfaces and two iPads. Is that cause of screen space? The alternative is you can use difference pages / scenes within one and you can get to them very quickly.
      You can marry 2 of them up as I have seen someone use loopy pro to midi control another loopy pro.. and that was wirelessly too.. but I just don’t understand why you would want that? I’m not criticising.. I’m just genuinely curious as you can build whatever looper you want out of one.

    Is there an option to have words/titles instead of colours for the mixer/loops?

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK
      @JohnPaulMusicUK  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can add words in each of the loops and buttons and you can even add your own text boxes and have them literally anywhere you like. 👍🏻

    Hi John,
    I've got a question i'd like to ask.
    Would you chose m1 ipad air 256gb or m2 ipad pro 128gb to use loopy on?
    They are both in a simiar price range. Just wanted to know if the m1 air has enough juice.
    I might run many fx. Probably few instances of turnado n koala fx,some recerbs/delays,eq's etc.
    Also ,wanna hook up akai midi mk2 as well.
    Thanks for the vids.

    • @JohnPaulMusicUK
      @JohnPaulMusicUK  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s a good question.
      I’m using the M1 iPad Pro and it certainly handles it!! The M2 is about a 35% increase.
      In this instance I would go M2 128gb.. reason is you can plug in a hard drive if you need more storage and i would buy later on an SSD.. but BE CAREFUL cause you cannot put the plugs or other apps on the external but you can put the audio to free up space.
      If you can really afford it, go M2 256gb.

      That was a good questioon as I was wondering the same thing. Are there any tutorials available talking about set ups with an IPAD and audio interface and how it would continue from there? Also, using pedals into a loop, vocal looping techniques, like the one you did in this video. Practical examples, hands on so to speak. Even in terms of gear.

      I decided to go with m2 pro 128gb.
      At the moment i'll use rc505mk2 as a audio interface but once i sell it i'll go with motu m2. You'll need powered usb hub so you can hook everything up n power up the ipad at the same time.
      A beatboxer Inkie made very short vids about it. Not as deep as John but the inforamtion is quite valid.

    Can anyone please please tell my where Here is at 2.01 this I have rewound several times but the tutorial is in a rush and only instructions of the word here are given without any visual clues of what is being pressed.
    As a newborn iam finding it extremely difficult and frustrating to follow not, sorry I am not saying it’s bad teaching only assuming we all already know where here is kind of makes the student feel yes I must be an idiot but that’s my point a tutorial that assumes I am already familiar with what the lesson is about kind of makes no sense but then I am a dummy so as a side note, as this is the first here of quite a few
    Anyone know where the loopy lessons for dummies are?
