I agree with this. I was always frowning and with poker face everytime I go outside to meet people and to work because I don't like to be with people. Even their presence is making me stressed. I'm not myself and being true to myself when I'm outside. I don't feel relaxed and happy. But when I always go home with my two little babies Coco and Bella, I was energized and filled with joy. I can be myself again. To cuddle and kiss them and they will return it with lovely cuddles and lick. I love it. I hate my depression and social anxiety disorder. And my dogs are my antidote for this toxic mess I have in my brain..

I never was an animal person. I didn't want a dog living with us but my kids and wife begged me. Majority rules so we got one. We had Coco for over a year now and she's my best friend and I always think about her while I'm at work lol

Three years ago, I lost my best friend. Bailey, a beagle mix, he died on the operating table. I got to see him for a little bit while they were prepping. The doctor told me that he noticed a spike in his health once he saw me and I got to spend some time with him. After I left it dropped and he died. Three years later and I'm still heartbroken.

My dog, Shiloh, died December 24 just a few days ago. It hurts more knowing that she didn’t even make it till Christmas, and especially when it’s supposed to be a joyful season. Instead, it turned into a horrible nightmare. She brought peace into our family and brought us closer together (as we were distant towards each other), just like the meaning behind her name (Shiloh means peace in Hebrew). I even thought of naming her Shiloh and coincidentally (or not) my brother already decided to name her that without even knowing that I wanted it as her name too. I believe she was a gift from God. And it’s like a part of me died along with her, but I hope to see her again and getting lots of belly rubs from God
Wow man, I also had a beagle named bailey who passed. He lived 15 years which is around 3/4 of my life. He just lost all of his energy and wanst living the quality of life. I am just happy of all the funny memories he gave me throughout my life.
I have a chihuahua and pit did it as soon as that part ended my chihuahua yawned immediately after I thought no way, waited 30 sec tried again and he yawned again. Made me tear up lol

When i adopted my pittie from the shelter it took a ling time before she let me pet her head. Shecwas unfortunately extremely abused,horrific things were done to her. Surprisingly she was immediately affectionate and loved cuddles and sleeping with me though. One day we were sitting together and i realized i had been absent mindedly petting her head with no issues ever since. It made me get teary eyed and i feel so blessed she trusts me completely now!
I had rescued a pittie at one point that was also abused on so many levels. Theyre super sweet dogs and incredibly loyal if you treat them with love. I miss her a lot, we had to put her to sleep earlier this year because she got old and had some rough health issues that made her miserable.
My dog will let anyone pet his head, but he'll only let me pet in between his eyes. He's so adorable. He's a crazy puppy, and literally THE most mischievous dog I know, but he's my puppy.

On this last May 4th. I had to put my 15 year old little Sassy down . I cry every day as i miss my baby girl soooo much. Im a grown man and my Sassy for me ? Was the pet and companion of a lifetime. I miss her so much, i wish i could keep her forever. I know she is no longer suffering amd struggling to breathe she suffered with congestive heart failure and level 4 heart murmur but while getting oxygen on the night i lost her she also suffered a cardiac arrest. I love that girl so much and now my life is empty without her greeting me every day that i walk in . Or kisses and snuggles she was such a pretty girl to me. R.I.P. my little girl Sassy . I love you Sassy.

vincent parlante So sorry for you. I had to have my beloved JackJack put to sleep a while back. He had kidney failure, he wasn’t suffering at the time but was going downhill. So, as I couldn’t bear the thought of him being in pain and being distressed we took him to the vets. He also had arthritis in his spine and movement was becoming restricted. It’s the last act of love. He was seventeen and had a good, good life. I now have another one, same breed, American Eskimo, she’s cute beyond words, but naughty, she’ll calm down in a few tears I’m told. I had the old one cremated and his ashes rest next to my late husband’s. They were great pals.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Crying again. Had to put my dear Auztralisn cattle dig to sleep about two years ago. I was with him to his last breath. We loved each other - he walked up to me and followed me home, insisted he wanted to live with me and my other two dogs. Then we were four.
Every morning when waking up, my dog will hop on my chest and start cradling his head into my neck for morning cuddles. Then I get face kisses. I’m going through a dark time in my life but he adds some light and I don’t know what I’d do without him. He’s my legit best friend. I love to celebrate his birthday every year(he’s adopted so we celebrate his “adoption anniversary” as his birthday). He’s my little man 💕

My corgi likes to sleep on the floor right next to my bed..He gets really excited in the morning when i wake up and i give him a hug and a belly rub. That's our morning routine for years now.
I give my minibernedoodle permission one hour before get up time to get into our bed.... best snuggle hour ever! Sleeps on futon beside our bed......our sharpie that passed away had her own room...we miss her so much...so our minibernedoodle gets overly spoiled! Guessing we will let her sneak into our bed a few hours early often.... lol....yep...no regrets... just a little tired! Lol!

Bandit would crawl upon my chest and proceed to rain tons of kisses, or climb in the bed and take the pillow. Little guy was really a great family member for 14 years. Miss his love every minute.

My abused rescued starving pup was delivered to Me at about 4 months of age. Took a long time and much patience and unconditional love from my end to break down his distrust and resistance. I'd feed, bathe take care of him and attend to everything myself and constantly talk to him... Always told him when I was going out that I'd return soon and I always did, so he had no anxiety disorders. I also set a fixed routine for us both.. All these things earned his faith and trust and gave him a sense of stability and security. It took almost 6 months before he first wagged his tail! Within a year he was happy, confident and extremely loving brat! Rescued dogs have a different psyche. They need immense patience, understanding, handling with sensitivity and reassurance. It took hard work but believe me it was all worth it! I know he loved me. He would lie for hours staring at me. When it was hot he would come lick the sweat off my face. When I was in full plaster after breaking my knee - he didn't leave me for a moment and would follow my wheelchair even to the bathroom and sit there! Once the plaster was removed he stopped following me n went back to his usual ways... lying n staring as usual! Look into their bright eyes and that special smile - it says it all! Love my dog and all my strays!
I grew up with Pitts, but in 1993 I received the first of five amazing Guide Dogs. They have all been female labradors, four yellow, and one black. They are all amazing. They show their love for me by keeping me safe when we are out and about. Nothing is sweeter.

Dogs are a lot smarter than they get credit for many times. My Catahoula hound Jakie, knows when I'm feeling really down and in tears. He looks me right in the eyes with a very expressive look, like what's wrong mum. He then simply jumps up and puts his front paws on my shoulders and licks my face with tears and all. That is a very special dog to care so much that he'd want to lick up my tears. Not even people's partners will comfort them in times of need.

You should definitely look into getting one from a shelter but get their background of what's known so you know what to expect .dogs need a lot of care & attention ; not 100% ideal if owner works fulltime .

My best friend dipstick. I was 14 when I met Him (2004)he was a Labrador, we adopted him from a violent home, but from day one of him living with us, when ever I came home he’d grab my hand in his mouth inviting me into a fight with him. He wouldn’t let go until I’d have a wrestle, it’d always end up with a face full Of dip licks! We had an amazing life together! Come 2017 we had to take Dipstick to the vets for one last visit. I was a wreck, crying my eyes out. But something happened, Dipstick grabbed my hand with his mouth. Just like he’d been doing everyday for the passed 9 years, and he laid his head on my lap. He knew what was about to happen, but he knew that I needed him at the same time. I held him as he fell asleep. We humans really have no idea how lucky we are to have dogs in our lives! They love us unconditionally
LOL, I don't have to come home late. My 2 labs and I get yelled at by my fiance for being to loud and crazy every day when i get home. The only time they calmly let me leave the house is in the mornings when i go to work, any other time they aren't happy i'm leaving.

My best friend is a dog and she becomes crazily happy when I come to visit her. Her joy is contagious. She forgets everything else and goes around and around the house with tail swinging and toy in her mouth and wants my unconditional attention. When I pet her she licks my arm for the return. She wants me to be the one who takes the leash when we go for a walk, othervice she can become difficult but is so calm and obedient walking next to me when I'm around lol. The owner says she is never that way with other people, alltho friendly she is for most people but we have special bond.

Dude seriously :( my mastiff is ten and people keep telling me that's as old as they're supposed to get but he's still so full of life I refuse to believe it... We take such good care of him and he's the sweetest pup ever but I'd be lyin if I said that if I found the fountain of youth I'd drink it myself. When i adopted my pittie from the shelter it took a ling time before she let me pet her head. Shecwas unfortunately extremely abused,horrific things were done to her. Surprisingly she was immediately affectionate and loved cuddles and sleeping with me though. One day we were sitting together and i realized i had been absent mindedly petting her head with no issues ever since. It made me get teary eyed and i feel so blessed she trusts me completely now!

I had rescued a pittie at one point that was also abused on so many levels. Theyre super sweet dogs and incredibly loyal if you treat them with love. I miss her a lot, we had to put her to sleep earlier this year because she got old and had some rough health issues that made her miserable.

I’m literally watching this with my dog, Nikko, and I have cookies out, and he’s leaning on me, yawned when I yawn, I’m petting his head, he stares at me constantly and always sleeps with me. He does have severe separation anxiety, which we are working on. He was a rescue but he rescued me. Truly!❤️ and if I kinda dog bark “I Wuv You Mama” at him he mocks me! He’s been posted on Facebook and he told me that on my birthday, Saturday the 30th, in the morning like he knew it was my birthday when I woke up! He Also knows when I’m about to have a seizure. He goes in circles and sits. And he licks me. He knew when I had a deadly heart problem and was in a fibrillation because he would lick my chest and lay his head or paw on my chest, like “Mom go to the hospital!! This is bad!!” He’s an American Staffordshire terroir mixed with Mastiff. To most, he’s a big scary looking dog, but to me, he’s my everything!❤️

On this last May 4th. I had to put my 15 year old little Sassy down . I cry every day as i miss my baby girl soooo much. Im a grown man and my Sassy for me ? Was the pet and companion of a lifetime. I miss her so much, i wish i could keep her forever. I know she is no longer suffering amd struggling to breathe she suffered with congestive heart failure and level 4 heart murmur but while getting oxygen on the night i lost her she also suffered a cardiac arrest. I love that girl so much and now my life is empty without her greeting me every day that i walk in . Or kisses and snuggles she was such a pretty girl to me. R.I.P. my little girl Sassy . I love you Sassy.

vincent parlante So sorry for you. I had to have my beloved JackJack put to sleep a while back. He had kidney failure, he wasn’t suffering at the time but was going downhill. So, as I couldn’t bear the thought of him being in pain and being distressed we took him to the vets. He also had arthritis in his spine and movement was becoming restricted. It’s the last act of love. He was seventeen and had a good, good life. I now have another one, same breed, American Eskimo, she’s cute beyond words, but naughty, she’ll calm down in a few tears I’m told. I had the old one cremated and his ashes rest next to my late husband’s. They were great pals.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Every morning when waking up, my dog will hop on my chest and start cradling his head into my neck for morning cuddles. Then I get face kisses. I’m going through a dark time in my life but he adds some light and I don’t know what I’d do without him. He’s my legit best friend. Bandit would crawl upon my chest and proceed to rain tons of kisses, or climb in the bed and take the pillow. Little guy was really a great family member for 14 years. Miss his love every minute.
My dog does that always I go brush my teeth come back to bed and his on my pillow eventually he goes to the other pillows and he rains kisses on me during the evening
My abused rescued starving pup was delivered to Me at about 4 months of age.
Took a long time and much patience and unconditional love from my end to break down his distrust and resistance.
I'd feed, bathe take care of him and attend to everything myself and constantly talk to him...
Always told him when I was going out that I'd return soon and I always did, so he had no anxiety disorders.
I also set a fixed routine for us both..
All these things earned his faith and trust and gave him a sense of stability and security.
It took almost 6 months before he first wagged his tail!
Within a year he was happy, confident and extremely loving brat!
Rescued dogs have a different psyche.
They need immense patience, understanding, handling with sensitivity and reassurance.
It took hard work but believe me it was all worth it!
I know he loved me. He would lie for hours staring at me.
When it was hot he would come lick the sweat off my face.
When I was in full plaster after breaking my knee - he didn't leave me for a moment and would follow my wheelchair even to the bathroom and sit there!
Once the plaster was removed he stopped following me n went back to his usual ways... lying n staring as usual!
Look into their bright eyes and that special smile - it says it all!

I grew up with Pitts, but in 1993 I received the first of five amazing Guide Dogs. They have all been female labradors, four yellow, and one black. They are all amazing. They show their love for me by keeping me safe when we are out and about. Nothing is sweeter.

Dogs are a lot smarter than they get credit for many times. My Catahoula hound Jakie, knows when I'm feeling really down and in tears. He looks me right in the eyes with a very expressive look, like what's wrong mum. He then simply jumps up and puts his front paws on my shoulders and licks my face with tears and all. That is a very special dog to care so much that he'd want to lick up my tears. Not even people's partners will comfort them in times of need.

Of dip licks! We had an amazing life together! Come 2017 we had to take Dipstick to the vets for one last visit. I was a wreck, crying my eyes out. But something happened, Dipstick grabbed my hand with his mouth. Just like he’d been doing everyday for the passed 9 years, and he laid his head on my lap. He knew what was about to happen, but he knew that I needed him at the same time. I held him as he fell asleep. We humans really have no idea how lucky we are to have dogs in our lives! They love us unconditionally

LOL, I don't have to come home late. My 2 labs and I get yelled at by my fiance for being to loud and crazy every day when i get home. The only time they calmly let me leave the house is in the mornings when i go to work, any other time they aren't happy i'm leaving.
Not only did this video make me happy, but it also made me a better dog daddy too. Thank you ❤️

My Australian Shepherd loves to take showers. He is a wierdo. He cries and claws at the shower door and demands he be let it. He demands a lot of things come to think of it 🤔 he isn't spoiled or anything😉

My doxie crys to take a shower with me. He also likes to go outside when it's raining.

Sorry to hear this. We lost two of ours this month. Old age 22 yrs and cancer not even 5 yrs. the boy that’s left if crying now and looking for them. Hurts to see him like that and not eating much. But time might help. And extra cuddles

My dog got put down when we took her to the vet we took her in a towel when we came back empty handed my other dog smelt the towel and knew....he was so sad after that..

My best friend is a dog and she becomes crazily happy when I come to visit her. Her joy is contagious. She forgets everything else and goes around and around the house with tail swinging and toy in her mouth and wants my unconditional attention. When I pet her she licks my arm for the return. She wants me to be the one who takes the leash when we go for a walk, othervice she can become difficult but is so calm and obedient walking next to me when I'm around lol.
The owner says she is never that way with other people, alltho friendly she is for most people but we have special bond.
My dog dosent even care who is petting his head he just loves it 😂
