Kreator's early work was so awesome, it's a shame they never really broke through like some of their contemporaries. They put on a great live show, glad I got to see them. While Extreme Aggression is probably my favorite album of theirs, I still love Endless Pain, and Awakening Of The Gods is my favorite song from them.

Pleasure To Kill is to this day the heaviest thrash album I have ever heard. It makes Slayer's Reign In Blood look like glam metal by comparison. What a beast of a record! I also really enjoy Outcast; I view it more just as a heavy metal album rather than a Kreator or thrash. My least favorite is definitely Renewal; I thought Mikes vocals were at their worst (sounded like he was barking the whole time) and none of the songs were the least bit memorable or had any sort of catchy hook.

I think the production on reign in blood makes it sound heavier than pleasure to kill although pleasure to kill is defently heavier

To me Darkness Descends by Dark Angel is far heavier and more aggressive than Pleasure to Kill. It's actually the fastest thrash album I've ever heard in my life.

What Kreator basically tried to do in the 90s with Cause of Conflict and Outcast was mimicking The Krupps but they did it without success. The Krupps was cool cause of their awesome production and great use of industrial(they are kinda the inventors of Industrial to begin with alongside Einstürzende Neubauten) in the 90s while with Kreator it felt half-assed. I do love Endorama though and I kinda wish they did more of that in the 90s instead of Outcast lol. My favorite album by them would either be Extreme Agression or Phantom Antichrist... maybe even Coma of Souls but honestly they have so many good albums that I cant decide. Anyways cheers mate XD

My opinion is so unpopular but its my fav Kreator album.
When i've heard it first time it kicked me right in the face, i've had no idea what industrial was, the sound was so new to me.

I actually like all Kreator's albums even the experimental period, first saw em in 1989 in Manchester, tight as hell and blew the rest of the bill away. As much as like the early stuff, the last few albums have blow me away so that's reflected in my own rankings. I don't think they've ever made a bad album as such...

Extreme Agression is my permanent number 1. There's nothing wrong with Endless Pain,Pleasure To Kill and Terrible Certainty, they are awesome and have their own share of great songs, but in places it feels like intensity for intensity sake, which can be tiring after a while for me. Extreme Agression still has, well, extreme agression to it,but it's much more refined and concentrated.
I would have put Enemy Of God way higher, maybe on par with their two recent albums. It can be repetitive in places, but it has so much power, great production only emphasizes this. Although Coma Of Souls is close to Extreme Agression in style and appeals to me because of it,I find it to be less impactful than its predecessor,so I can agree on its placement.
    5.Enemy Of God
    4.Endless Pain
    3.Pleasure To Kill
    2.Terrible Certainty
    1.Extreme Agression

Now as a huge Kreator fan, it is interesting to see how this band divides people (musically, a bit politically too), but still no one hates them. :D
What you mentioned about Coma of Souls (which is my favourite besides Phantom Antichrist) is totally true in my case for Pleasure to Kill. I never really loved that album, and as I got older, felt like it is even more overrated than I thought a few years ago. Although I rate it high and know its importance for the scene, for me the first 3 Kreator albums are just to aggressive and not showing the real strength and songwriting skills of the band. And this is interesting, as contrary in the case of Sodom/Destruction and Tankard, I really like the first albums (even though my favourite Destruction album is Antichrist from 2001).

I know I'm a bit late, but I thought that I would add to the conversation. Now I'm not going to rank their material because for me, I'm not familiar enough with it, and because of their latest album I haven't checked out yet. But for me their earlier stuff I'm not as a huge fan of, when comparing it to Violent Revolution and onward. I will say that my favorite album out of them all might just be Endorama. I know that it doesn't sound like Coma of Souls or Extreme Aggression. But for me, it was the one that I enjoyed the most and had the most fun with. I will say that their later stuff from Violent Revolution and onward is all really strong. I really like melodic metal, so I would say that Endorama and onward are probably my favorites. There are no bad albums from them from what I have heard.

14-Cause For Conflict: its trash. Never able to listen to the whole thing without taking a break or two
13-Renewal: A few decent tracks but still pretty much garbage
12-Outkast: Better but aside from Phobia I never really listen to anything on this one.
11-Endorama: I get the love but its not my thing. However, it is the most "enjoyable" album of the 90's experiments
10-Endless Pain: Like you said, it all bleeds together. It feels like one long song. Flag of hate is awesome though. Very catchy
09-Terrible Certainty: Do not like the production on this one. Id agree that the 2nd half is pretty weak. Title track is a banger
08-Phantom Antichrist: Least favorite of the melodic era. Again a very top heavy album with the 2nd half being a little repetitive and uninspired.
07-Hordes Of Chaos: Opener and the closer on this one are amazing. Love the production as well.
06-Coma Of Souls: I agree that it is overrated but those first 5 songs (especially When the sun burns red and the title track) are fucking amazing
05-Violent Revolution: What a comeback. Love melodic death/thrash so this ranks high for me. A classic
04-Gods Of Violence: Same reason as violent revolution but done a bit better. Totalitarian Terror and death becomes my light are in my top 10 of Kreator songs.
03-Extreme Aggression. Take the good from Pleasure to kill and Terrible Certainty and that's the album in a nutshell. Nostalgia probably bumps it up a few spots.
02-Enemy of God: Melodic thrash done as its best. Fast, aggressive melodic,, you name it. Love it
01-Pleasure To Kill: top 10 thrash metal album of all time. The closest thing to Reign in Blood in terms of speed and aggression and it was released 5 months earlier so...who influenced who?
    anyways great job as always!!!

    • @nicolaemadalinboboc6704

Pleasure to Kil being released earlier doesn't mean it influenced Reign in Blood. Kreator were definitely influenced by Haunting the Chapel and Hell Awaits, as it's obvious in the sound of the band. Reign in Blood was probably influenced more by hard-core punk than other thrash bands.

Terrible Certainty is def one of the best Kreator albums. I think Pleasure has more memorable riffs and a more unique sound overall, but Terrible Certainty has better execution. To me Coma of Souls sounds too simplistic, focused only on being catchy as fuck, and Extreme Agression has terrible production and unfocused song-writting. Terrible has everything: complex song-writting that sounds cohesive, great riffs, awesome vocal delivery, solid lyrics, unique guitar tone. It's like one of those records people decide to call it boring, and I have no idea why.
