Great video keep it up, I note people have commented on plus gas, heat, less power appropriately etc , now you have a garage and driveway I trust you will ditch the workmate bench for a nice newly built one.
    Enjoying the presentation.

2 urgent upgrades Mapp gas gun and some wire wheels for that angle grinder, and just a little hint from a spanner spinner. "There IS such a thing as too much power, and that nut spinner is way too much power!"

There's no such thing as too much power (torque), there's only inferior materials. 😅

Just done mine. Thanks for your vids . Those and the workshop manual made life a lot easier. I have an Allan(Shearer)as well. Not much use on a rust bucket.

Lee...not to make you jealous... but i removed every bolt on my 96 F subframe, without rounding, snapping or even having to cut them off... and I didn't need my impact wrench or any heat !!!

....thats made me jealous!! Lol 😆! It just goes to show if a car is looked after it can last and be easier to work with!

Hi Lee - great video, up to your usual standard! The two brake caliper bolts are 15mm - I rounded one, and you helped me sort it out, when you introduced me to "Irwin".
I just LOVE that Milwaukee Impact Wrench - SOMEDAY, I'll have one!

Mate wire brush and lube stuff before you undo...and that power wrench is great but way too powerful for old bolts

Thanks for the great videos. Currently on the same job and have it stripped down.
Any vid coming of you rebuilding and refitting or the bodywork?
Shame you don’t have one of you dropping the rear subframe as looking to do that next year.

Thanks Mark. Yes got plenty of rust to sort out so will be doing some vids on that at some point. There may be an engine swap on the cards in the future and will need to have the rear subframe out for that 👍🚘

you need to use plusgas.. not WD40... makes a huge difference. Also invest in a source of heat !!!

Help fellow MGTFers, my 04 VVC is appearing to loose coolant, rad changed, head tank and cap changed, head gasket inc skim bolts and oil ladder changed. My thoughts are that I have a split in a pipe somewhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Pressurise the cooking system and see where coolant is escaping: th-cam.com/video/K5p-G3UDi-A/w-d-xo.html

Hi I know it’s a bit late but the plastic thermostat house can crack that goes into the engine just above the water pump

Buy a gas torch if you want to make things a little easier, they cost little and are worth their weight in gold.

Another great video , looks like wd40 isn't that good , sure I seen people using something else for easing but removal
