It's important to note that having NEXUS also provides the benefits of TSA Pre and Global Entry. As a Canadian, I've used GE/TSA Pre while travelling through the US.
Once again, Austin has a Sapphire lounge. Mind you, it’s open (last visit) 10a - 7p, all drinks are canned, food is dispensed from a vending machine (surprisingly fresh & tasty), and most of it is outside.
@TheCreditShifu - 3:20 re: CDW Primary - yep! This is this is why I keep Sapphire Preferred around (and Dashpass) -- despite Citi Premier is superior in tons of ways including covers 3x gas and a lot. SP is 2x is travel and their categories suck relatively speaking. Just one thing all my friends get confused about, CDW is NOT liability insurance. It waives your liability for the rental car itself but does not cover you for hitting the other property or persons! Worthwhile distinction!
@@eile4219 yes but the edge cases are: (1) you don't have a car/insurance (e.g. you live in NYC) and you think you'll be covered, (2) you do have insurance, have an accident, and think Chase will handle all of it and you can leave your insurer out of it
One overlooked feature of Nexus is it includes both TSA pre & Global Entry. So this is literally the cheapest option to get Global Entry & TSA pre by getting Nexus. Though the fees are increasing later this year to be same as Global entry. So there is still time to get this on the cheap. Also Nexus credit is on Chase Air Canada mastercard as well.
You didn't mention the sapphire lounge in Austin. It's definitely a step up from PP lounges in terms of food and drink options but indoor seating is severly limited there and the terrace seating comes standard with Austin heat and humidity.
Tip #5 is huge and has helped me once before, but there is a tiny caveat (kinda). If you pay your balance down to $0, it will report to the credit bureaus as a one off, but it DOES NOT skip that next billing cycle. Example: You pay your balance to $0 on the 21st and Chase reports it to the credit bureaus. If you spend on the card again and have a balance, and your statement date is the 1st, it will once again report your balance to the bureaus on the 1st, despite you paying your balance down to $0 on the 21st. Hello Ben! Amazing video once again. I wanted to ask for a clarification on the Ritz-Carlton card. You mentioned all you needed was a $10k credit limit after getting the boundless. I thought we had to wait a full year before pc'ing. Is that still in effect since you did not mention it? Thank you!
I have the sapphire preferred and thinking about downgrading it to another freedom card even though I have one already. Is there a limit of how many duplicate freedom cards I can have? Is that why people end up closing their accounts instead even though it’ll hurt their credit score?
hey Ben, since the credit is $100 every 4 years (before increasing in october). Nexus is $50 only. Do you think I can get 2 applications out of the credit? Thanks
So, are you stating that I can product change my $95/yr Marriott Bonvoy Boundless card to a $450/yr Ritz-Carlton for benefits already provided by other CCs? What am I missing? If this a hotel credit card, I cannot transfer points to a Chase Sapphire CC, correct?
Hi Ben! How can I be sure that the Ritz Carlton Card still offers unlimited complimentary guests? My plan is to upgrade in august but I'd like to be sure about that. Thanks
Chase is building its first branch in my city in Virginia and i cant wait. The closest one was 3.5 hours away in washington dc. Now all we need is a amex and usaa branch
I have a question. I have had the Chase Southwest card for the past 3 years. I want to cancel it and get it again. How long do I have to wait to get the bonus though
This is awesome! Please do this with all CC issuers. Like AMEX next

Yeah, the way it's described in the video is misleading
WHAT? If I get NEXUS, I also get TSA Pre AND Global Entry???

i mean your car itself insurance will most likely cover it Even if you buy it from the car rental company, it wont cover if you hit someone as well.

Right, its not counted as a full sapphire lounge

Are the referrals per card or per business?

The Nexus enrollment centers are along the US/Canada border and at Canadian airports that honor Nexus. Google it
